“I have not had the need to use the service yet but the price is very competetive compared to other breakdown companies. there are regular updates and even reminders of when the MOT on my vehicle is needed.”

“I purchased two new EV cars and was told we were fully covered in the event of any breakdown, so I didn’t renew my Start Rescue policy. That turned out to be the biggest mistake I’ve made. On the way home from holiday on 10th June, a brick came off a lorry, burst my tyre, and damaged the nearside wheel. I phoned the number on the windscreen — the one the main dealer told me to use. It connected me to the RAC. After explaining what had happened, they simply said, “We do not cover that.” So there we were: a 75‑year‑old man, my wife, and my son who has a mental illness, stranded on a dual carriageway. Thankfully, I still had the Start Rescue app on my phone. I explained the situation, including the fact that I no longer had an active policy. Within minutes they had my location, arranged a rescue company, and phoned several times to check we were safe. The rescue vehicle arrived within the hour and got us home without issue. To anyone considering whether to sign up for Start Rescue — do it. Their care, professionalism, and humanity made all the difference. Thank you so much for everything you did for us. John S”
