Not sure how I'm supposed to comment on a service I haven't had to use yet. Although 24 hrs later I still haven't received ANY information on how to use the breakdown cover, so at the moment a total waste of money!

i took out this rescue plan & paid online only to be called 2 days later to be told they dont cover my camper as its too old! this should have been stopped before I paid... I now have to wait 3 - 5 days for a refund

i have requested two times now for my documents to be sent by post as in previous years. you have used the covid excuse which is becoming par for the course excusing all forms of incompetence. Royal mail and its post men are not complaining,locked down or using any other excuse. I am unable to download documents,a point i have made for the last two years on renewal,i need the paperwork should i have a problem if i am abroad. THE vehicle is maintained tip top and to date i have never had cause to call any service to my car. Breakdown services have enjoyed free money from me for years, all i require is a bit of cooperation from a customer service dept that,s obviously wanting in its function. on my last e-mail i gave clear instructions, either confirm my documents are on the way or cancel my policy and return the money to my account,i will find a company that cares a little more. Could not renew my breakdown cover, I tried 4 different credit cards to no avail, start rescue did not know why Thier system was faulty !!!!!!

Very confusing renewal process. 1st email- cancelled renewal option due to age of 2nd car. 2nd email- apologised for message. Wrong communication sent to customers. 3rd email -reminder policy expires in 30 days. 4th email- renewal cost £99.44 Next day 5th email- renewal cost £61.64

This is now 1st October and I have still not received the information which was to be posted to me shortly after taking out the policy. I know that times are difficult at the moment but I think I should have received my documents by now.

I bought My Start Rescue package because of good reviews and also because of a 15% Top Cash Back bonus. However The Top Cash Back bonus was immediately declined by Start rescue ! Why? This will not encourage my future custom to Start rescue.

Watch out on mobile phone, cost is tiny red on black and as you choose or deselect it changes. I thought it was 19 pounds but they charged me 38 pounds. I want immediate refund or cancellation.

We had no renewal price sent to us so because the car was being scrapped we decided to not update our card details so it would cancel and you have taken the money from the bank so not good.

I have had a policy for several years, this renewal my wife's policy with a different company ran out ,so we decided to add her car to my policy. For me bringing more customers to your company ,you charged me £5, even though I asked for her car to be added at renewal. I do not think this is right and am seriously considering not renewing.

I thought l was buying a policy for about £30 and l have been charged nearly double that. I didn't want to pay the excess but it seems to have been processed anyway and l got a shock to see the price l have paid. Can l please have the cover l wanted for £30 which is what l thought l asked for or is this not possible? Christine Cottis

I have one star cover after 10 miles I have to pay extra per mile but you won't tell me how much which makes me suspicious, can you tell me how much or I may have to cancel my policy within the 14 day period ,what happened to transparency ?

If you are unfortunate enough to experience a breakdown and you would like to be recovered further than 10 miles then we can offer you a pay on use service, the fee is £1.50 per mile on a round trip basis. We are unable to give an exact price as it would depend on where you would like to be recovered to at the time of a breakdown. Alternatively if you would like more information about our policies that cover you nationwide then please don't hesitate to contact a member of our customer service team, they will be happy to go through these options with you. Unfortunately the quote on the gocompare.com website was totally misleading. The quote for an annual policy was £19.40 but the actual cost turned out to be £37.88. Startrescue.co.uk claimed that this was down to gocompare.com However, how many customers are being mislead? Shouldn't Startrescue.co.uk have some influence over how they are being marketed on the compairson site?

However our prices are based on the age of your vehicle, and what we sometimes find is customers enter the wrong age of their vehicle, resulting in the wrong premium being shown, and then when they are directed to our website the correct price is displayed. I wanted to change the mobile contact number before renewal but as the policy was just up for renewal that option was not available via the customer lounge so I contacted Customer Services. Even though the policy was set up with my email address, credit card, mobile number and password, the customer services dept refused to change the mobile number because I took it out in my daughter's name. Once renewed (which I nearly didn't do!) I was able to change the mobile number myself. No common sense was applied here. Leila Jones' father.

Money was taken out of my account without any notice! I should of had an email to say if I want to renew this is how much it is and will be taken on this day. It took me into an overdraft which I’m guessing you will not be paying so it’s actually cost me more money.
