I tried renewing my policy online but found your Merchant CAStart payment page impossible. Ended up calling you and renewing my policy over the telephone.

When I broke down on the motorway at 10 o'clock at night I had to wait over an hour despite having a baby of 6 months in my car). I had to pay for the whole thing too, including £90 callout and a further £100 for beiing dropped off home. (I was 20 miles from home). Was truly appalled.

Very cheap which is my main motivation, however last year my wife broke down and despite having 3 star cover they refused to attend the breakdown, leaving my wife, an 11 year old and a 3 year old stranded, once we sorted the mess out and got the car towed back home at our expense I then spoke to the company on my return and we got the cover for the year refunded, better luck this year. it sounds very poor but in todays world if you the customer are not fully aware of your entitlement then it would appear this is what happens, I am sure if my wife had argued with them on the phone then maybe they would have provided the service we paid for, better luck this year hopefully.

Took out a policy with Startrescue for full European cover. My wife was alone in the car and had a puncture. It is a new car and does not have a spare tyre, but a tin of inflatable foam. Understandably, she did not know where this was concealed in the car. Startrescue refused to come out until she could locate the can of foam. In the end, I left work, took a 30 mile taxi ride, picking up a can of foam from Halfords on the way, inflated the tyre and drove to Kwik fit, which were only a few miles down the road. I can not believe that Startrescue did not have the wit to do exactly as I had to do, or at least offer a tow to Kwik fit.. They could not have been more useless if you'd put a monkey on the end of the phone.

Aparently breakdown cover doesn't cover punctured tyre. Ridiculous.

The cover is not the same as other organisations - read the small print about their poor version of recovery before you sign up.

I am a customer for the last 2 years but Start Rescue could not able to help me this time. It is a shame but AA are quite happy to help me if I go with them..

For a breakdown company to request feedback one day after signing up, when I've had no call to use their services, is pointless and a waste of everybody's time. It makes me wonder how much of their positive feedback is from customers that have just provided positive feedback based solely on the low cost, without having any experience of the quality of service.

Was told when purchasing the product that my card details was not going through (3 times)phoned bank and it had on worked on the first attempt. Unable to ring back phone lines closed .Phoned nxt day matter delt with promptly .my thoughts were that the operator wanted to go home .

You took an hour and 45 minutes to respond to a breakdown. You let us down on the only occasion we asked for help. I won't be doing business with you again and advise anybody else to avoid you like the plague

I joined/renewed on sunday july 13th. i had a genuine reason to call you the following day as my car wouldnt start (genuine as i can prove i used the car the day before). Unfortunately I didnt leave it 24 hours after my renewal so u refused to help me unless i gave you more money and refused to help me even after the 24 hour time had expired. I will be asking for a refund.

Both times that I have spoken to your sales agents they have been rude and abrupt which was why I had to think twice before renewing. Next time I may not be so accommodating

I was very disappointed and annoyed as I wanted European cover and thought that was what I bought but found that after going through the whole process I had been sold 3 star NON European cover ! I then had to find a phone number to call and cancel - the girl was very helpful and informed me that our type of vehicle would not be covered in Europe - why is that not highlighted clearly at the start of the process!!! I am still waiting to find out if my money had been refunded....more annoyance!!

So far I have only paid for the service, fortunately not had to use it. This review service is very poor as it does not define anything to review. A five year old could at least ask some relative questions
