“I ordered my usual Bella 09 ankle grazers (I have 7 other pairs, all fabulous) but went for the cotton twill for a change. They arrived the morning of my trip so I packed them but didn’t realise they are a lot tighter than the normal Bellas. Because I’m away I have to wear them, they’re ok but not as comfortable as usual and I probably won’t wear them when I get home. I now see you tell customers to size up for the cotton twill but regular customers don’t necessarily read the description because we think we know what we’re ordering! You need to make the size issue much clearer on this style.”

“Having visited your store in Dorset earlier in the tear and purchased many pairs of Robell trousers before, I was very disappointed with the fit and quality of the velvet trousers. I always wear a size 12 but could hardly get them on! The fabric was thin and hardly decent velvet and although the colour was called regal purple it was more like a dark pink. It might be quite a while before I risk buying any more !”

“The velvet trousers were well made and fitted well but unfortunately I had to return them as the velvet was hard and the trousers were more of a jeans style rather than an evening style, which is what I had wanted.”

“Speedy delivery, but return postage should be free of charge, as with most other companies. One of the two pairs of trousers I ordered, in the Rose style, were huge. I think this is why they were being sold at a much cheaper price, but there was nothing to indicate this before I ordered. I have had many pairs of Rose trousers in the past, all of which have been correctly sized.”

“Fantastic jacket, but be careful how you wash it! I purchased the Lightweight Waterproof Rain Jacket in white - great service prior to purchase and the jacket arrived promptly. The jacket is lovely, it has a nice shape to it, useful pockets and I really like the design of the hood, which doesn't fly off with the slightest gust but still allows you to see! Unfortunately, I washed the garment and it has changed colour. So Simply believe this is due to a stain remover that was present in the laundry pod that I used, however, there was no warning on the garment label or the laundry pod box to indicate this may happen. I am hoping that the waterproofing has not been affected (the jacket was well and truly tested in torrential rain prior to washing and passed with flying colours). Great jacket, but if you buy one please wash it with a very gentle detergent. Would recommend sizing up one size.”

“The company is fabulous and has really good customer service but the inconsistencies of sizing have gotten worse in my opinion and I can’t rely on getting anything to fit. And because returns aren’t free it makes it risky to order. I recently ordered 2 Rose trousers and a Marie, all size 8’s but the two Rose ones fitted very differently and one was very big on the waist. I have Rose size 10 in my wardrobe from a few years ago that fit perfectly. So the sizing has definitely changed. Marie sizing has always been bigger but you don’t stock many size 6’s. I wish you did free returns so I could order more variations for size. I do love the trousers when they fit! I have just returned 2 of the 3 pairs ordered and have kept one pair but have to alter the waist and take them in by 3-4 inches. Frustrating.”
