Hi Anna, The prices you're referring to are from private sellers, not registered as companies, not registered for VAT, and goods probably sourced from China. We sell genuine OEM licenses backed by being a registered company with VAT included. Kind Regards, Softwaregeeks

I purchased Windows 7 for my wife. It was not straightforward to download, as the instructions were quite limited. I encountered stages in the downloading process that were not mentioned in the in the instructions. I eventually, after 3 days, managed to download the software which my wife is pleased with.

Actually, Software Geeks did not make me happy with my attempt to acquire software. Despite six attempts I could not get a proper download. The fault did not lie with my system - I have downloaded many large files (> 3GB) without a problem. Also, having failed to buy from you, I was able to download the file I needed from a competitor on first try. However, you did give me a refund, so I thank you for that.

Although you send me the software licences within minutes for my upgrade to window 7. I was unable to get this to work at all. I contacted you a number of times through email and therefore asked for my money back as the product didn't work. I was told that this couldn't be done as the license were allocated to me only and couldn't be used by anyone else. I do think this is unfair and therefore wouldn't use your company again nor would I recommend your company to anyone else. You could have just returned my payment of £14.99 as a goodwill.

Well, it seems good - but Microsoft kept interfering!! I got to a certain stage of upgrading, but was very worried I'd lose some of my software data (essentially log-in) that may - or may not - recognize the W7 u/grade v. the old XP one. Having been prompted to do so, I downloaded W. Easy-Transfer, which I then backed-up onto a pen stick, but some files failed (I was given a list) - some of which I suspect may be embedded things within the software that worked within the XP environment, but & if missing, may cause the software not to work under W7. Perhaps my best route is to use an XP VM machine within a later MSW environment. I haven't tried Geeks support yet, but if & when I do, it may have all the answers I need, In summary, not that easy to use - but perhaps I just wasn't brave enough to enact the whole thing. Perhaps it'll be perfect!?:! Perry

Good price. Reviews were great but I failed to activate no matter what I did. It was not the product or Software Geeks faulty, it was my lack of computer knowledge. I tried for several hours on three evenings but could not do it. So will stay with my windows 7 instead of upgrading to 10.

Made a mistake during installation. So unfortunately, have had to buy another key and not tried SoftwareGeeks' key yet.

Hi David, This isn't true. You're referring to the dummy key sent, which we clearly state in the instructions is only to be used upon upgrading from Win 10 Home to Pro. You cannot activate using this key. You would have received a seperate key to activate Pro once installed. Softwaregeeks

I was happy to find the software I needed, but downloading it was a little slow. (I have a fast internet connection so I know it was downloading at plodding pace).

The order was processed promptly and eventually was satisfactory. The customer services responded promptly to my questions, although we did not seem to understand each other. It seems that I was missing, or failed to find, an activation key in the original communication. This was eventually received after several exchanges of e-mails. Not quite "well done", but getting there.

Great prices. Great to get license key by email immediately after placing the order. Not so good - no instructions about how to download and install the software or anything else (e.g. disc copy of software as back up) etc.

Purchased window 7 upgrade. Download and installation was OK as were instructions. However key was rejected as being invalid by Microsoft. Contacted software geeks on live chat, I was told my install was corrupt and would have to scrap and start again. As this would take several hours to do I was less than happy. Eventually I got the product validated via the Microsoft phone service.

Bought the wrong license and I dont see a refunds policy or a swap-out policy. Required a Windows 7 Ultimate and bought a windows 7 professional. :-(

Have downloaded Win 7 twice. Followed instructions and still cannot upgrade from Visa home basic 64bit to Windows 7 64bit. Installation failes with error code 0x80070241.

I use the word normal because getting instructions that are inaccurate and unintelligible to the ordinary computerphobe is the norm. Referring to the sheet 'How to install Windows 7' language such as 'enter the BIOS (normally F2) and change the boot sequence from within' meant nothing to me. I was not asked about language, time and currency format, or keyboard. There was no request for a user name or an offer to set a password. However I did get there eventually and although I had to enter the product key a second time it is now up and running and activated. My advice to you is to employ an ordinary mortal who can write these instructions in such a way that the average man in the street, who is not particularly computer literate, can follow them. On a positive note your product is good value for money compared with other suppliers.
