“I bought Home and Student 2016. It was a bit of a nightmare to download. For an older person who is not a natural, the instructions were not clear enough. After many attempts and liaising with sons who are savvy, it still did not download. I "chatted" to a guy who said it should work! Eventually, on my final attempt, it worked but I had to ignore the on screen instructions and actually use some common sense. I saw quite a number of online comments from others who also had problems so it isn't just me!”

“I purchased an upgrade licence from Windows Vista to 7. The downloaded software was fine but the accompanying instructions .pdf bore little relation to the actual installation process. There is no mention of having to restart and boot from the installation instead of the memory stick/disk or whatever you created. This caused a lot of frustration and time wasting.”

“Purchase MS Office 2016 home and student Windows 10. Didnt download easily but I got there eventually. A novice would definitely have struggled but it was half the price of anywhere else. Get what you pay for I guess.”

“To be honest, it wasn't straight forward to install from the purchase. But at least when I needed to contact software geek the staff was helpful. The problem was that the download link and instruction page wasn't incorporated. So I was a bit confused and I had to re-downloaded 2 time. But overall it worked.”

“The product was affordable and easy to retrieve. However, there were technical issues that they were not able to resolve. Turned out that the link to “iso to usb” downloaded a corrupted application to burn the iso to a usb stick. Once I resolved this the windows 7 upgrade was easy.”

“I bought a copy of Windows7 that was downloadable. I wanted to install it on a Mac with Bootcamp so that I could use a particular piece of software. I do not own a pc. I couldn’t use it as because it came as an .exe file. It would have been helpful if this had been stated before I purchased it. This may be obvious to more experienced users. Perhaps I should have bought it on a cd or usb.”

“I ordered Windows 10. Firstly how they made me unhappy... the instructions were overly complicated.. I phoned for help because I wanted to load Windows 10 onto Parallels for Mac.. 'Sorry you'll have to contact Parallels'.. I was disappointed, but nevertheless downloaded the ICO file and Parallels easily accepted it as a new operating system. The three stars are because Windows 10 is up and running and because of the reasonable cost.”

Hi Andrew, The instructions only include screenshots of what you see upon installing Windows 10. Nothing more to make it 'complicated'. Parallels is third-party software. You required help with Parallels. Parallels offer free support. Our prices are reasonable, like you mentioned, hence we cannot offer support for installation, plus third party support. “I've had purchased a few software from software Geeks and have been really happy about the price and the product I have bought from the, however, 2 of my last purchase of office 2016 Home and Business gave me some major problems in trying to activate the product, both product keys just would not activate, I am currently trying to resolve this with the company as I am writing this review.”

“I purchased Windows 7 upgrade at a very good price. This was a great price for an authentic product, and it was delivered quickly. Free support that was included was nothing special. Email responding was slow and online chat support offline most of time (when it was online and I submitted query, it went offline instantly). I was having installation troubles which they weren't able to help me solve. In the end I solved it myself, and it was simply a missing detail that could have been included in their Installation instructions.”

Hi John, You purchased a LICENSE from ourselves. The software is free-of-charge from Microsoft. We have no control that Microsoft requires Windows to install from a USB/DVD, you should raise this with Microsoft themselves. Kind Regards, Softwaregeeks
