“Terrible Company. There should be an option for zero stars.
Bought IPhone XR on Wednesday 30 March. Website says buy within 3hr for next day delivery, plus £15 off using a sale voucher code.
I was very excited, I bought it. A few moments later delivery changed to 1 to 2 days. Still ok with me considering shipping is free.
Then it changed again, saying that they have extended the delivery time to 5-7 working day. It freaked me out because I was going to leave at end of that week.
They say they would have done their best. Right.
By Wednesday still no tracking number.
Knowing for sure that the phone would have taken longer than that I ask for refund. Refund went through PayPal, still waiting for official transfer.
Now I have been left with no phone and the plans to give my old one to my parents in Italy, completely shattered.
I bought my wife the same phone from SWYCHA.com and the phone arrived in two days. An amazing refurbished phone.
They are using misleading information and I don’t think they have the phone you actually buy in stock, that’s why they extend the delivery. They are waiting for stock to arrive, then working on those phone before shipping them, making you wait like an idiot.
Cheery on a cake after almost a week they had to cancel the order because they no longer accept Paypal. You have to buy the phone again trough card and then they guarantee two days delivery…hilarious!
The reason I choose smartcellular was the discount and “next day delivery, again all misleading information. SHAME!!

“I have never ever known a business like this. Sold an Apple iPhone 13 to them on the 25th November 2021, used their supplied Royal Mail label which as they automatically and strongly point out after the parcel goes 'missing' and it will go missing is only insured for up to £100 compensation.
After weeks and weeks of emails and a few emails back from their Royal Mail Claims 'department' i was promised the £100 would be refunded into my bank account within 10 working days. 12 working days after it had not been received. Was told by James by email that my bank details had been missed (hope they have been disposed off correctly or that is a £250,000 fine) and he would get it sent to me within 48hrs or the latest end of the week by 25th Feb. It is now Tuesday 1st March and after my email to them on Saturday 26th February i am still waiting for an email or a phone call from a manager letting me know where the £100 is. I have reported this company to Action Fraud together with various newspapers etc...Please Do Not Use this company, take all the bad reviews seriously.
Parcels go missing, humans make errors but its how you solve the problem afterwards to help customers which will mean whether you stay in busy for years to come and i'm afraid you don't deserve to at this point.”

“Like other people have experienced, I too have never dealt with such a seemingly disreputable, dishonest company. They appear to be misleading customers about their consumer rights so if they are refusing to refund you keep fighting them as if they don't comply then you can claim back through your payment method whether that's visa, mastercard, paypal, klarna etc. - they all have a disputes process whether chargeback, section 75 etc. The more people who have a legitimate cause to do this, the more the payment providers will charge Smart Cellular or even blacklist them from using their payment services. That should make them improve their customer service and stop ripping off their customers. Keep a note of all your correspondence with them to justify your actions. Read up on the Consumer Rights Act and seek clarification from citizens advice. Whether you're buying or selling a phone, if Smart Cellular try and fob you off with a label only insuring up to £100 keep asking for a label to cover the entire amount or chances are the parcel will go missing in the post. If they refuse then go elsewhere but it's happened too many times just to be chance, read the other review sites like trustpilot to get a bigger picture. Report them to trading standards too. The thing is if they actually traded honestly they'd have a good business there without having to resort to underhand tactics and sharp practice, if only they were honest with their customers.”
