“I recently purchased Sennheiser HDB 630 headphones from Smart Home Sounds for £399, expecting a brand new, factory sealed product. When they arrived, the original manufacturer seal on the box had already been cut, and the protective stickers on the ear cups looked like they had been lifted and reapplied. This gave the impression that the headphones had been opened and handled before reaching me. That was disappointing, especially as I specifically chose to pay full price to avoid open-box or refurbished items (which are available elsewhere for significantly less). To be fair, the headphones themselves are in excellent condition and sound great, so I decided to keep them. However, the lack of transparency about the product’s condition took away from the experience and left me questioning whether it was truly “new” as advertised. Customer service initially responded quickly and asked for photos, which I provided, but after that communication slowed down and I haven’t received a follow-up response at all. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not what I expected either. If you’re ordering from here, it’s worth double-checking the condition of the item on arrival, especially if you’re paying full price for something advertised as new.”

We want to reassure you that as an official Sennheiser authorised retailer, all of our stock is sourced directly and exclusively from Sennheiser UK. On rare occasions, manufacturer seals and protective stickers can appear disturbed due to quality checks carried out at the distribution stage before goods reach us — but we take these reports seriously as this should never happen. On the service side — your initial email was picked up and replied to on the same day, as we wanted to raise the packaging concern directly with Sennheiser on your behalf. We then followed up two working days later with an offer of either a partial refund or an full exchange. Our internal SLA is a maximum of two working days for all email enquiries, with 99% of customers receiving a response within one working day. We also have live chat available on our website for an immediate response should you ever need one. We're sorry the experience didn't meet the standard you expected. If there's anything further we can do to put this right, please don't hesitate to get back in touch — we're always happy to help.

“I live in Northern Ireland, so next day delivery doesnt apply but the turntable I ordered STILL arrived in two days. Really fast delivery and great service. Extremely positive first experience with this business. Great job guys, I'll for sure be a returning customer. :)”

“Very chilled atmosphere( by the looks of the YT vids) I hardly ever watch anything on YT but decided to upgrade my home cinema system. SONOS is a quality product but sadly has a lot of negative reviews. That did not put me off as i just think some folks do not use the Sonos app correctly. I only had one glitch with the app , so i forced stop the app and started again and everything runs smooth as silk now. Getting back to YT i did watch all your clips on the various speakers i own from Sonos. And thank you for the discount ( i threw a small wobbly when i saw the delivery charge was £14.99 , i apologise again for that , you were proffessional and kind enough to give a a £15 discount code. By doing this your business gains repectability and does not show 'corporate greed' to me. Thanks again folks at Smart Home Sounds. My home set up is incredible now , better than most cinemas!!!!!! Cheers guys and keep well.”

“I bought a record player and speakers from this company and the delivery and price were excellent. I purchased Audio-Technica AT-LP60XUSB & Edifier R1280DB which I am very happy with. I contacted the company again later as i had a damaged grille on the speaker and they have gone the extra mile for me and I would not hesitate to recommend them again to buyers”
