When I set out on our booking journey, back in February, I was entranced. My contact was courteous and prompt and informative. But all that now is a distant memory. Back in May I was contacted by Seabourn with the offer of a !0% discount if I settled by the end of the month. I checked with Six Star that the offer was genuine, and when they said yes, I accepted their advice that I should settle in full, with them, and they would deal with Seabourn. Since then, I have had one email confirming receipt of the money but nothing about the discount. By settling early I have given Six Star six months' use of the equivalent of a house deposit in the fast receding hope that I would get back £2K or so as recompense. Given their claims of industry-leading customer service, this lack of communication and assurance is disgraceful.

We have had in the region of 30 cruises and every other agent we used took care of every detail for us. However with this company anything you wanted such as changing seats on the flights, downloading boarding passes etc they threw back at you to do yourself. Furthermore we were given conflicting information by different agents which could have resulted in missing our flight. The final thing was disembarkation, I don’t know if this was the fault of the agent or Azamara, but it was a complete shambles with the promised transfer to the airport not arriving. I will never use them again.

It took 4 days, two incorrect quotes and 7 and half hours of my time on the phone. Finally on Monday our holiday was booked. Tried sending three emails since and none have been responded too. Never experienced this low level of service from Sixstar cruising before. Always dealt with Andrew freeman very professional, shame he is not around still. Helen Scroggs

I had to cancel my cruise that we booked due to our financial situation but 6 weeks on and I have still not received my refund. Impossible to get through on the phone unless you want to make a new booking.

Terrible customer service, quick to take your money but do not answer the phone or emails when the cruise is cancelled and you want your refund. Over 100 days now and still nothing.

I was told at the point of sale I was booking a package. I was told I could cancel up to the day before . I was told Azamara do not use budget airlines such as Easy Jet. Upon cancellation due to Covid ,I was told my booking is not a package although the. Definition of a package is at least two elements of the booking must be done through a travel agency . the lady who took this call advised me Azamara will refuse boarding anyone who has had Covid within the last 10 days . I am now aware Azamara do use Easy Jet and I could have booked from my local airport direct other than Lufthansa with stops in Frankfurt. So no I have had a misleading costly and worrying time booking with Six Star Cruises.

Dear Alison I have just been trying to ring your company to enquire about changes to my booking that I requested a couple of weeks ago. I have not heard from your representatives. On my call I was waiting for 45 minutes without my call being answered and I could not wait any longer so gave up. To call this company SixStarCruise is a complete misnomer. OneStarCruises would be much more appropriate. I was led to believe that their "concierge" service would be first class but I have found that not to be the case. I booked in good faith a cruise followed by three days in the Italian Lakes. The finish point was changed from Venice to a port further down the coast which meant that there was additional travelling involved. I was unhappy with that and asked to change my booking to an alternative. I suggested, after researching the market myself, an alternative cruise which fitted in with our other holiday arrangements which by then had become impossible to change. It took weeks to get information on this option from them and way beyond the 72 hours suggested by one of three different concierges I had to deal with. The delay caused my wife and myself considerable anxiety as we were left in limbo as to our special holiday. I feel that the company lost interest in my booking once I asked to change and it was put firmly on the back burner. In addition out of my deposit of £800, £500 was retained for a future cruise despite the fact that the change to my booking was not initiated by myself but by the cruise company and £418 was retained by "SisStarCruises" for other cancellation costs. I feel that that was far too excessive and profiteering by SisStarCruises - a company with a lot of hype about being first class but in reality delivers one star service.

Extremely disappointed! Paying six star prices for six star cruises but got less than one star service from this company. Not proactive, long gaps with no communication, queries not answered promptly, telephone calls not answered or returned promptly, general lack of information regarding progress. Just absolutely not a Six Star service. Something with your approach to customer service is very broken and needs fixing! Will not be using again in future.

Poor communication and customer service plus no response to complaints. This company had a very good reputation among cruisers. My recent experience has been very very poor. I found it difficult to complete payment, there has been no reply to emails or calls to the concierge. Phoning the company means a long long wait and sometimes being cut off. Something has gone badly wrong. I have another future cruise already booked via Six Star, but would not risk using this company again.

I won’t book another cruise with this company unless they do some apologising and explaining. They’ve been great in the past. The dedicated concierge system appears to have broken down. I spent 6 hours trying to pay the balance of my cruise. No one emailed or phoned when asked, I was cut off while phoning after waiting half an hour. Our flights for next years cruise plus stopovers have not been booked 2 months after they were supposed to be. A shambles this time. I don’t trust this company any more.

Wanted to book a cruise was told i would get call back it never happened . Did get a call after 8pm and was promised a call by 9.30 on wednesday i am still waiting

cruise booked, you then cancelled the cruise the day after we paid the money it has now been 65 days and you have not sent the money back even though i have contacted Azamara and they confirmed they have sent all the money in full back too you, you keep promising to sen the money back and yet you don't

To the extent that my booking experience was conducted by email it was entirely satisfactory. To the extent that it was conducted by telephone it was a disaster. I indicated to Sandie Collier that I abhor business dealings by telephone and asked that we continue to deal by email. No, Sandie indicated, it was necessary to speak by telephone in order for her to get credit/debit card details (agreed) and in order that she could run through matters generally (strongly disagreed). To what end I do not know our conversation dealt with the following topics. The merits of a room in the bow of the ship or midship. The need for flights at the beginning and/or end of the cruise. Special events for my wife or me during the cruise. All of these I generally understood, though I did not understand why they could not have been dealt with by email. And then began a lengthy exposition on the subject of alcoholic beverages generally, champagne and premium beverages and the presence of alcoholic beverages in the room which I did not understand at all. All this absorbed fifteen minutes of my time, took place one hour later than I had expected and caused my wife to have to hold our dinner, there being a two hour time difference between the UK and South Africa. We booked a cruise and paid a deposit in January 2021. The cruise itinerary was completely changed. The embarkation port was changed and the length of cruise changed. The whole holiday was not what we had booked. We asked for our money back which was eventually agreed by telephone in December 2021. But we have still not received our money back despite emails and telephone calls. Six star cruises are a cheating company who will keep your money at any cost. I am now looking into having to go to the courts to reclaim our deposit which was £1200 Alot of money which we could have received interest on if it was in our savings.

Having waited several times for call backs, one that happened just before closing despite waiting from 1.00pm! The next I called at around 3.00pm 2 hours after expected call. Only discover the next day that I had been wrongly advised, I would lose around £700 worth of cruise line extras! I am still waiting a resolution to this that may result in me cancelling the cruise. Not at all happy!

Still awaiting refund for a cruise booked 2020 for September 2021. The cruise was cancelled in May and still awaiting refund. We have now been told that we will receive the refund on 25th September 2021, after being given other refund dates. This is actually, not only after the original departure date but also after expected arrival home! Thank you Six Star Cruises for having the use of our money for over 12months. Be assured, we will never book or recommend yourselves. We have had other cruises cancelled and have been refunded within 14 days. Sandie Collier has constantly passed the complaint from one department to another. Thank you Sandie you have been absolutely useless.

Dirty and floor in shower room has broken floor very dangerous . Windows so dirty that we couldn’t see through them . The off shore tours are extremely expensive.
