I bought the calix and was super excited to receive it, however it doesn’t really serve much purpose :( There is no closure on the lid so the flask is permanently open which is only helpful when not on the move ? So not much more helpful than a mug Also it’s the only flask I’ve used which has a metallic taste :( when I tried to drink my coffee you can taste the metal of the lid which is really gross. Very sad :(

Hi Rachel, Thanks for your review :) I'm ever so sorry for any confusion caused when ordering the Calix. Unfortunately, at the moment it's not leak proof but we are hoping to release a spill proof lid in the near future and this will be made from plastic due to the moving parts. Great service fast delivery Very poor in keeping my food warm, very disappointed after been highly recommend by my friends, I think the lid doesn't sit fastened properly..... possible faulty 😥

Bought a Kalix and Pacto using key worker discount. Keeps drinks hot. Pacto doesn’t fit into car cup holder and lids are leak proof. Over priced even with a discount code.

Was really looking forward to using my new SHO travel cup which I purchased with 50% off for being a health care worker. Unfortunately the metal lid makes it unusable unless you want 3rd degree burns to your lips and mouth!!! To say I am disappointed is an understatement, the only way to drink my hot coffee is without the lid on or wait over 6 hours for it to cool down!

Hi Alison, I'm really sorry to hear this. If boiling water is poured into the Calix (as in with instant black coffee for example) and the lid immediately put on, we would not recommend drinking from the Calix at this point as the insulation means that the liquid inside will not cool down quickly & if drunk, will result in the liquid burning your mouth. A good way of looking at it is if the lid is too hot to drink from, the liquid inside is also too hot to drink and could burn. If this is the case and you're brewing a tea or cup of instant coffee, we'd recommend allowing the drink to cool down a little before putting the lid on - otherwise you'll have to wait a few hours to have the drink at a perfect drinking temperature. Alternatively adding a few teaspoons of cold water to the drink will do the trick. Food flask isn't that great. Followed instructions to the letter but food still gets cold. Won't be buying again. Very disappointed 😞

Really disappointed as bought two after reading some reviews. Not suitable for what I wanted ( taking a hot drink to watch son play football) as it does not seal so you can't carry the cup without spilling hot contents if you have your hands full. Not very clear on the site that it's not fully sealable. Couldn't return it as I washed it before use before I realised !!! Will not be buying another one

I wouldn't waste your money on the Pacto or Calix coffee cups. The rubber seal has never fitted back in the lid after washing so now leaks even more (it leaked a little before). When I queried it with SHO they told me the seal isn’t designed to be removed. When I questioned how hygienic it was to design a lid that can't be washed I was then told it could be washed but not often as it expands and won't fit! I've been in hopsital isolation for 2 long and stressful months with my 8 year old who is recovering from a bone marrow transplant and bought the Pacto to keep my tea warm and the Calix to treat myself to the odd Costa from the hospital foyer in a reusable cup.  Given that I have been told not to wash the lid, I asked for a refund as they aren't fit for purpose (who wants cups they can't clean?). Apparently that isn't an option. But if I hadn't used them I could return if i pay the returns postage. I have posted this review on their Facebook adverts but they have complained and blocked me from commenting in future so I guess other honest reviewers who give a poor review have also been blocked from the doing the same meaning the only reviews you get to see are the ones they want you to. Awful products and even worse customer service. AVOID.

Hi there, Thanks for your review. I can see that you've been in contact with us regarding this one? The Calix and Pacto lids both can be washed but we advise against removing the Pacto seal completely and unfortunately, when you removed the Pacto seal to wash it, this was stretched beyond repair. I can see that we offered to send you out a replacement lid was was declined and your order has been refunded instead. Best wishes, SHO

So disappointed that my beautiful calix doesn’t seal at the lid. Cannot use it like this as I walk to school with it in my bag. Don’t understand why you would make a cup like this without a closable lid.

The lid is very difficult to drink from. And when I asked for a refund I was told because I had washed it through they couldn’t refund. What a waste of money

So disappointed with my Patco mug, the lid does not have a cover over the little hole you drink out of, there for can only be used as like a normal mug you have in your house for a cup of tea ect. So save yourself some money and just buy a normal cup from a supermarket for alot cheaper. When emailing to enquire about this I was sent a screenshot of it apparently not being advertised as ‘leak proof’ (you need to click a little question mark somewhere, so unless you click it there is no other way of knowing) with there also being a hole in the lid im not sure how it is meant to keep drinking hot for 4 hours. Also be careful and read the returns policy, cause even after the false advertisement you are still expected to pay to return the parcel. Overall very disappointed

Unfortunately, at the moment the Pacto is not leak proof and we do state this on our website on the product page and in the FAQs but it sounds like you may have missed this. We are hoping to release a splash proof lid in the near future so keep an eye out for this. We cannot accept a return of an item that has been used or washed out due to hygiene reasons. Useless. Never arrived and when I asked to resend using a different courier they said they couldn't use a different but wondered if I had a different address to send it to!?!?! Like it was my address which was the problem. 😡

It's our policy to ask if you'd like us to have this sent out to an alternative address in case there is an issue with the original one. We can have replacement orders sent out to the same address if not alternative is available.
