I have been trying without success for a week to retrieve a deposit of £11 as 2 had gone through PayPal. Shiply are now not replying to emails. Very poor customer service, will not be using again.

I am quite disappointed that the delivery is listed as 'complete' even though I have only paid the deposit. I feel like once the deposit is paid, Shiply washes their hands of the transaction and begins spamming me for feedback, on a delivery which is still in the future..... Strange way of operating.

My personal experience has been very negative as the Carrier I chose to find out more about turned out to be abusive and dishonest. I was not able to find this out until after I had paid the deposit as this site enables these bad companies to hide behind the " no contact" rule until after you have paid your deposit. I wasted my money and will not recommend Shiply to anyone else as I feel it is wrong to accept a quote and have to pay before you have any details of the carrier, which I was able to do on other sites.

Are you kidding me ? I had goods to transfer from UK to France. For some reason, details of pick up and delivery were mixed up as the form was being filled, but I did not notice. Only after having accepted a quote and paid the deposit, did I realise with the transport provider that there was a mistake. So we did not pursue. I tried to get a refund but was told to wait for eight days before I could apply. I entered a fresh, correct, application. I again accepted a quote, paid a deposit and eventually the goods arrived. I resubmitted my request for a credit on my first, aborted, application and Sheeply refused to give me a refund, although they say that the credit could be appplied to another job. I further learned, talking with several transport providers that they are incensed at the attitude of the owners of this Sheeply website as their commission is now at 20% of their work, pricing their work so high that they are experiencing lower business. Would I recommend Sheeply ? What do you think ? Will this be published ? What do you think ?

Too expensive for both the courier and the customer. Very little protection offered for the customer.

After accepting a quotation via Shiply I paid a deposit of £55.00 and contacted the Company concerned to arrange transport of the vehicle I had purchased. Unfortunately they were very busy & kept changing the proposed times of collection & delivery. Eventually they agreed to cancel the deal altogether and said they would ask Shiply to refund my deposit. I have now spent several days trying to obtain this refund. Based on this experience, I would not be inclined to use Shiply again or be able to recommend them to anyone else.

getting invoices from the couriers is nearly impossible, and then they never give invoices for the deposit paid to Shiply

If you happen to need your deposit refunded because of a service you never received, you only get a credit to use again on shiply which is out right wrong,a full cash refund should be issued, also if you happen to purchase again off shiply you only rightly want to use your refunded credit but ,only a percentage of your refund is used for the deposit for your next purchase so you are still left with some of your credit left in your account,so then you should be able to use all of your credit that you have in your account to pay the next deposit, seeing as you had paid for a service that you never received in the first place.Terrible

Driver delivered item and took payment then stated that he would go back to van for screws and never came back. Emailed to ask where screws where and denied all knowledge. Poor communication, would not recommend.

Once I accepted the quote I was unable to go back and send a message to the courier providing collection and delivery details. I had to phone Shiply and I was told I should have received an e mail which didn't happen. This delayed contact with the courier for a week. This is apparently a common problem and should be addressed.

Nowhere on the Shiply site does it say how the balance of the payment is to be made. I was expecting to have to pay it through the Shiply site either after collection or after delivery. Luckily when the item was delivered I had enough cash to pay the balance to the delivery driver. It was delivered in the middle of the night miles from a cash machine so it would have been very problematic if I didn't have the cash on hand.

The movers themselves, Richard and (I think) Ryan, were fantastic. Really went above and beyond, very committed and capable. They did a great day's work moving the contents of my flat across London, even helping me with a most unorthodox method of moving a sofa that was too big for the front door! However, there was an accident with an old mirror, which is where the fun began. Advie, the man in charge, initially tried to get the movers themselves to pay for the damage. This seemed extremely unfair given their great performance, and I told him so over the phone, at which he got very defensive and edgy; not at all a professional way to deal with a customer complaint. Then I got the mirror repaired and asked him to refund half the cost; that was seven weeks ago and I've received, as yet, no money. The only reason Advie gets two stars is that his colleagues put in a really five star performance.

Avoid Shipley if you can. Much better to go to the courier direct if possible. Shipley customer service is very very poor. If a courier lets you down Shipley will not refund your money.

Shiply offers a good service, and the idea behind it is solid. However, I did have a bad experience initially when a contractor failed to complete a delivery. After 2 weeks I had to revert to Parcelforce to do the job, at higher cost. Not just that , but Shiply did not return my deposit, they simply reposted my delivery request for a job that had already been completed. Effectively I lost not only my deposit, but paid a higher price, and lost two weeks. OK, circumstances were bad, there was flooding in the area, so I cannot criticise one bloke who was doing his best. But sometimes it's simply best to have a bigger organisation behind you.

The quote indicated delivery within the week but the shipper didn't contact me until late on Friday and was planning to deliver after 7pm on Saturday! I had plans to be out of town for the weekend. My other option was to wait an entire week more. In the end they delivered a very large bookcase to my new neighbour. Nothing like making a good impression with the
