Placed a courier request via Shipley. Got an automateds reply saying there was a problem and the order was not processed, but PayPal showed the deposit debited. Was told that 2 couriers had submitted quotes but they didn't know anything about it. Rang Shipley who had no record of the order, but wanted to caancel some different order I didn't know about. Resent the request and got the same message. Eventually a courier did quote, and gave a very good service but Shipley made the whole process harder

This was the second time I posted job and even after lost deposit and reported it to Shipley I have heard nothing from either the person that u accepted first or Shipley

Nowhere on the website can I contact shiply. I would like to report a courier who delivered a broken item and is refusing to refund the item and shipping charges Atif Azmil is the courier. I would like Shiply to look into this and help collect a refund from this courier. It's dealing with him which puts me off using Shiply.

I have yet to receive my item - 8 days after paying the deposit. I don't mind delays but I do mind when no one even bothers to contact me and tell me what's going on. It is inexcusable.

My £17 deposit was taken from my account twice , I rang and spoke to an advisor and was assured my account would be credited with the amount but as of yet I am still waiting so I am rather annoyed by this so therefore would not recommend you to any one

Shiply is a great idea! Unfortunately, I ended up with a couldnt-care-less transporter. This feedback is about how Shiply encourages this type of transporter. The guy didn't turn up to collect the item on the date arranged, and then didn't respond to any calls, texts, or emails for over a week - resulting in significant time wasted for me and for the seller of the item to be shipped, and in delay in getting it over to me. Shiply plays a significant part in encouraging cowboy transporters as these because of their flawed feeback system When a transporter doesn't turn up and stops communicating, you have no choice but to cancel the quote and start the process again with a new quote. In this situation, you are not entitled to provide feedback to warn other users. This is not only frustrating, but encourages cowboy transporters who post unbeatable quotes, and then only pick and choose the easier ones, leaving the others abadonned. This in turn means less business for the serious transporters. I can imagine it might even force some to follow the same bad business practices in order to stay in the game. Shiply support ignored my attempts to explain this, simply re-iterating that I was not entitled to giving feedback. --- Feedback is flawed. Don't trust it. But particularly suspicious of transporters with positive feedback but many customer cacellations.

all the "deposit" goes to shiply although they make it look like as if it goes to the removal company. in the end i didn't had any problems but read the reviews, they do very little background checks on the removal companies so there is a real risk of ending up with a cowboy company. apparently many of the positive feedbacks are left by shiply itself. so if you use (which I did), make sure to make a company that has plenty of good feedbacks that look genuine.

Shiply website is a gd idea but my first time uaing it and was very confusing. Like u been messaging sme1 bt when u accept the quote u cant measage nomore until u get eachothers details that is just stupid in my books

there is no where to write info on the job, there is also only a calender for collection days but you cannot choose times. i had a collection that nee3d to be collected on either one of 3 days one day was morning the other after 2 i could not write this anywhere in the listing i put on

Too many e-mails from an agent called CLM asking to confirm whether details are correct & then advising of possible extra charges that had not been mentioned previously. All these unnecessary e-mails when this information could have been collected previously prior to the deposit being paid. Also there was no mention that a deposit should be paid until the actual booking process had taken place. I rang Shiply to advise that I had sent the couriers' several e-mails as I needed to clarify information but I had received no response to these questions from all the couriers' I contacted. The Shiply adviser was very polite but only advised that I should contact another courier if I received no response to yet another e-mail to the couriers'. I am unsure whether collecting & giving the information regarding terms and conditions is the responsibility of Shiply or the courier. If Shiply have these couriers on their books then they should monitor or have a standard set of rules that all couriers should abide by including that consumer law is followed correctly so that the consumer should be advised of all the terms and conditions prior to booking the courier & paying their deposit. A lot of the information given prior to booking the courier was misleading. It seems that Shiply take very little responsibility for this part of the process.

Misleading advertising - they state that there are no fee's and that a deposit is paid to the courier but this is incorrect. There is a fee - I was quoted £100.00 for the service but paid £125.00 - a deposit is either taken from the final amount or returned if paid in full, Shiply keep the deposit!! Also expensive, 25% of the transaction is very high for a website of this sort.

the Shiply website is poor and needs to be redesigned from the point of view of someone who is using it not the owners of the site. Buttons on menus are literally named the wrong thing, and it is very misleading. Feel free to get in touch with me if you want more detail

Shiply charges a huge commission! The say you have sent a deposit to the courier when they actually keep the full amount. I do not recommend Shiply as they do not show you the actual facts regarding their fees.

delivery companies are not honest with pick up and delivery times, just tell us what we want to hear then once we accept bid they take their time. Also Shiply not responsive to concerns/complaints as never responded to my online complaint.

This was my first use of Shiply, needless to say there were a few teething problems. Firstly I sent an message requesting support help and the message I got back from Katie in customer services was entirely inaccurate or relevant. Secondly, on accepting a quote I discovered that there was an unkown postcode displayed for the collection address, when the details had been imported from ebay. This error was not explained, again by Katie. Finally, the courier I chose was a mistake, didn't follow your instruction or mine and quite frankly not a good advertisment for shiply. If you would like me to expand on this I will be happy to do so. In the mean time I have placed another quote request hoping that this one will run more smoothly and avoiding my first courier. The service from the courier was superb, the service and Information from shiply was not. They send you through a receipt stating that you have sent a deposit through to the courier when infact the couriers get nothing! Shiply pockets over 20% of the overall cost which is ridiculous and very unfare for the couriers involved. I strongly recommend using another service rather than shiply, they are making a huge profit for doing very little and are covering up the actual costs to the customer!
