“First time trying shadowfoam, bought along with a halfords modular tool box to replace a worn out case on a 22 year old socket set. Its expensive for what it is, theres no getting around that, though it pretty much does what it says on the tin. Its more difficult that I thought it would be to separate the layers but like I say it does the job.”

“Excellent product with plenty of online tutorials on how to do a good job. There was a bit of a delay with my order as they had run out of red foam, but I was happy enough to take orange.”

“I ordered a sample of shadow foam as a trial, arrived as promised and included a £5 voucher on my next purchase. Arrived as promised and the sample was more than expected which was nice. I have yet to investigate further but the videos are useful.”

“Quick delivery. I used it inside a toolbox to keep things separate and give them protection, and it does the job well and looks good. The surface at the bottom of the cutout is a little rough when you peel out the layers above, but I suppose it’s a balance with making a robust product. I recommend it and will buy again.”

“Easy ordering process with very reasonable prices. This is the second time I’ve ordered from Shadow Foam and am a happy return customer. The foam was well packaged and as described. My reasons for -1 are that this time it did not come with a scalpel to assist with cutting, and also that I found some of the layers difficult to separate when compared to the last order I made. Otherwise very happy with the product, generally easy to work with and will order again in the future.”

“Great product/concept. I've reduced the number of stars only because I couldn't easily find guidance when cutting deeper patterns. I replaced a failed attempt to firm up cubed pick & pluck foam that I had applied PlastiDip paint to. It certainly firmed up the foam but just "shrunk" it. I had a 30cm deep case and rather than like the tool boxes or even the bicycle project, my gear wasn't being stored "across the surface" with just a simple cutout but rather stored "pointing down" into the depth of the case. I used multiple layers that I alternated between 3 & 5cm layers (even went for alternate colours to funk it up). I started at the top layer, cut out what was needed to allow the kit (3 cameras + accessories) to sit down through one layer, then cut the outline of what was next - often difficult given my main camera was a little like storing a pyramid in a point down manner - and so on. It's not massively neat but it certainly does the job very very well.”

“Product is great, however international shipping options and pricing is terrible! I know you guys are from the UK, but to charge £90 for a standard box to be shipped with one shipping supplier but then ACTUALLY using a different shipping supplier is a BIG NO GO! We are in 2023, one would think every online store has figured worldwide or at least europe-wide shipping out, but doesn’t seem to be the case herr.”
