the customer service received yesterday was less than 1 star, i wanted to know about the electric mazda, since my 2018 mazda is due a change, the staff didn't care when we walked in, pointed us in the direction of one electric mazda, didn't offer any assistance, didn't attempt to switch it on, so we could have a proper idea, no information at all, infact he walked away and we walked out non the wiser, after we couldn't find anyone to ask anything, waste of my time, i had to come back inside the show room to ask if i was in the right place. While looking for the mazda show room in sunderland, i had gone to Bristol street motor by error and the customer service was so brilliant that I consider getting the new electric mokka, a car I have never thought off. I hope the management can reconsider the Sunday workers as they must be getting paid to sit not sell. the staff member has done Mazda a disservice

Took my Peugeot 2008 in for a diagnostic check for an emissions fault code at 9:30am. I was told they may need all day to find the issue but I'd receive constant updates. Never received any updates throughout the day. When I called at around 4pm I was told they "think" it's the adblue injector but would need to perform a further check at my expense. The first check involved a road test and health check of the vehicle which wasn't asked for which makes me think this is just a quick and easy way for them to get more money from the customer which isn't right. Asked to speak to a manger about it but never received that call. After the second check, I had to call back again to find out it needed a new Urea Tank at a cost of £1500. Fortunately Peugeot Customer Care agreed to pay for everything (including the diagnostics) due to the low mileage and age of the car. From that point, I was constantly having to get in touch with the garage to find out what was happening. I was constantly met with "I was literally just about to ring you..." even though it should have been hours before. Throughout the whole process, the service was very poor and slow.

It was bad enough that the green car that we ordered was actually blue, forcing us to send it back in exchange for another one at a significant financial cost to ourselves but when the second car eventually arrived the roof didn't have the Fiat logo as promised and the pedestrian warning music didn't work and the speedometer was calibrated in kilometres per hour, demonstrating that the car wasn't road tested before we took delivery. We were told that Fiat would be in touch to sort all of this out but we haven't heard a peep from anyone in the last 5 weeks so it's off to Court and Trading Standards.

We are really disappointed that even after vehicle exchange into a more favourable colour choice you are still not satisfied. The vehicle supplied was current UK specification which is subject to change. If you have concerns with the pedestrian assist noise please book the car in with our service department and they will look into this. The vehicle had a pre delivery inspection and road test prior to delivery my apologies the speed was still showing in KM this can be swapped the MPH at the push of a button. Purchasing a vehicle and taking it for a service when its due is very straight forward. The problem starts when you have an issue with the car. I was told the strange noise from the engine that I was hearing was just the noise of the engine, being a lady driver, what would I know! I took the car to local garage, told to take car back to dealer as issue with coolant system, had to wait two weeks before car could go to garage, then found the head gasket had gone, in a two year old car!! How could they have missed that the first time? Car in garage for 4 weeks to get repaired, no courtesy car, despite having to care for my 92yr old blind mother who lives several miles away and buses run infrequently. Customer service appalling. Return telephone calls don't exist. No apology, nothing, Certainly won't be purchasing my next car from this dealership, Darlington branch.

I recently purchased a 2017 BMW 218i Luxury Active Tourer from the Durham branch. During the negotiations, I was assured the car would have a service, to BMW specification with the computer updated, before I collected it. I have since discovered that the car was overdue a service when traded in and the previous owner had been assured that he need not have it done as they would take care of it. Their idea of a service is an engine oil and filter change. I paid £12,795 for this car and I will now need to take it to a BMW workshop to have the rest of the service completed. This will cost me about £300. The dealer principal at Durham, Stephen Petch, is not interested and passed my complaint back down to the sales advisor, Sharon Condron, who has no authority to resolve the issue. Very unsatisfactory and very poor customer service. Buy from this company with extreme caution.

Awful customer service, worse ever; there literally was none !!! On entering both Hyundai and Mazda showrooms we weren't greeted. We took it upon ourselves to start looking at cars and still no staff showing willing, just sat on their phones !!! Absolutely fuming having travelled some miles to view certain cars; business taken elsewhere

I bought a two year old car from SG Petch with 2 year warranty. The vehicle was supplied without a Handbook and necessary ancillary items including nut to remove wheel locking nuts - Please be aware after sales service when you have a problem is appalling and Senior management are not helpful, call backs are non-existent and my family will no longer be dealing with this branch, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

Car developped a fault. Would not exced 2500 revs. (Due to intervention of recovery man Fault code cleared). On dropping vehicle I passed on fauilt code. I collected it the next day .... Alkl fixed on Warranty. Road tested and now in order. As soon as I entered the A64 I accelorated hard. Still would not eeceed 2500 revs. Took it to a Kia Dealer nearer my home town. Fixed by replacing Turbo Actuator under warranty. So the repairswere 'Warranty' so did not cost but your service was poor and you misled me at the time of collection. Thankfully thereare soime reliable dealers out there.

I bought a brand new Hyundai Kona Hybrid from Petch on 23d April 2021. 14 days after purchase it broke down with a transmission fault. 12 days after getting it back fixed it had a collission with a telegraph pole and was written off. The like for like replacement was identical in every way-even down to the transmission fault as it broke down after 12 days! The cars are automatic so nothing to do with my 43 years impeccable driving record

Purchased a second hand Hyundai i 30 from the Middlesbrough. Branch, they informed me, I would receive a call prior to picking up the car a week later to confirm the exact time and date for pickup by representative Indie, this didn't happen. When picking up the car informed the car was taxed and I didn't need to road tax the car however when asked to confirm this fact in writing, I was then told the car was not taxed. A few days later phoned representative Carol to confirm all DVLA documentation was in place and I to say a wheel unlocking nut was missing, received one call on the documentation she then said she would call again concerning the missing wheel unlocking nut however she didn't bother. The experience summed up is that of dealing with dodgy second hand back street car dealer disguised as a main dealer.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Having booked a service and mot online I had to chase SG Petch for confirmation of the booking only to find that they had not booked service, mot or courtesy car as requested and were offhand and dismissive on the phone when I had to chase them. No offer of any discount or anything so I will never use them again. Appalling.

My car infotainment system was not updated so most of the media systems didn't work.SG Petch didn't know how to work on my car so update took 4 days and a month later I am no better off. Worst off all S G Petch tried to change the terms of my purchase contract 4 days after I picked the car up putting me £270 worse off. I had to complain and threaten FCA before being resolved.

Had my car for a month now and wen collected it had big scratch on the side who’s home wasn’t there wen I bought the car , took it back had it for 2 weeks didn’t receive 1 phone call at all to let me no how it was getting on very dissatisfied with the service all the way through

Car was booked in for work as part of a recall - I told the team when I booked it in that there was a problem with the exhaust - they said that they would 'have a look'. After the work - I was told that I would have to book the car in for work to be done. I then booked the car in for a Service and asked them to work on the exhaust - was told on the day that I would have to book the car in for a specific appointment to have the work done on the exhaust. Trying to book a date with the Servicing department - all phones lead to reception by the way despite you having 'options' to select from when you get through on the phone - I was told that I would be 'called back'. No returned call, had to speak to reception again today - told that the message would be passed again. Getting VERY frustrated with this poor level of service - having been a Hyundai owner for over 10 years, I'll now be looking at anything other than something from SG Petch.

Stay well clear of these people. Two days after contacting their rather surly receptionist (Tues. pm) I received no response. Their very unprofessional receptionist lost the company a sale. If I refrained writing this review, I would be doing the community a MASSIVE disservice. avoid this company like the pandemic.

S.G. Petch Middlesbrough ( Mazda ) Twice I have taken my Mazda 6 to here, and twice it has been nothing but stress. I could list the full unsavoury 22 days it took in total, but I think the edited version makes the point sufficiently well. It started with a diagnostics test, and did end with the issue sorted and a free M.O.T. , that is the good news. Firstly I didn't get calls returned when promised. I was verbally abused by a workshop technician, with no provocation from myself. I was basically called a liar by the workshop manager ( or to use his words, " we only have your word for that " . To top it all off, the dealership manager/director/part owner made offers of financial reimbursement, which were never forthcoming. This dealership has severe issues with some of their staff, and I am still unsure whether taking over 3 weeks to solve the issue with my car was down to, equipment, the staff, Mazda themselves or a combination of those. Whatever it was, my advice is steer well clear. Fortunately I have now sold my Mazda.
