The worst ever company. Scam artists. I was charged 4 times the cost of the work. They didn't know that I would go and speak to the garage to find out what work was actually done. They charged me for work. They charged me for work that was not done! Also , they overcharged me for lots of other work... 4 x the true cost!! No way to speal to anyone except when they want to take your bank details! Shambles of a company.

Aw yea hidden costs and "extra work" galore. Got my car MOT'd last year and what was a cheap MOT turned into over a grands worth of work that they "had" to do to release my car. Avoid at all costs, Just pay the extra for the service and MOT!

Just had my car serviced by this company, absolutely fuming. A full service was offered at £130. I was charged £465 + the initial £130 for the service. I have been told for the work which was carried out was £85 tops. Steer well clear! Utter disgrace!!!

I would urge anyone looking to use this company to give it a very wide berth. It does present as a slightly cheaper option initially but beware the hidden costs. I was contacted by the team telling me I needed a full system flush before they could change the oul, this was utter nonsense and when I called the appointed garage they advised that no such recommendation was made and the oil change had been completed. Attempted to speak to the individual trying to get me to pay for the “full flush” but lo and behold unable to speak to him. In addition to the sales tactics and the greed for more money it is so very difficult to contact the company. Before you make this choice, just try to reach them by phone on the customer services numbers selecting that your car is booked in and see if you can speak to anyone. It’s a simple Test and will take moments saving you hours of frustration if you need to contact them.

I think your company needs looking into. Reading reviews I’ve had a bad experience today.after my car going in for service. Basically forced into. Getting work done or no car bk. I spoke to local garage for advice said. They would automatically do what I’ve been charged for in with the service an extra £187.00 got on top of £176 upfront. Full service

My experience with Servicing Stop was shocking. When I declined their overpriced “recommended” extras, the adviser became extremely aggressive, pressured me, and even shouted at me. He falsely claimed the items were legally required, which is completely untrue and highly misleading. Despite paying for a standard service, my car was returned without the service record updated. Customer support offered no meaningful help, and the overall attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. This company relies on pressure-selling tactics and intimidation to push unnecessary work. No customer should have to deal with this. I strongly advise everyone to stay far away from this company.

Ripped my son off (a student with no income) by completing work without consent then forcing payment under duress by withholding his car. Purely fraudulent business - avoid like the plague 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I booked an MOT and service with Servicing Stop, after making it very clear from the beginning that I also wanted a quote for a rear diff service. When the day came, they suddenly refused to quote for it or carry out the work — despite this being the whole reason I booked with them in the first place. The MOT passed with no issues… yet according to the “service”, my car apparently had a huge list of faults, including “unsafe” brakes. Funny how the brakes were “too unsafe to drive” but somehow safe enough to pass the MOT on the same day. The contradictions were unbelievable. The phone call that followed was even worse. Instead of advice, we were met with pressure, scare tactics and arrogance. The member of staff spoke to me and my husband like we had no clue about cars, and made it sound like we were obligated to approve hundreds of pounds’ worth of work we didn’t need. It wasn’t a recommendation — it was a hard sell. The so-called “77-point service” was honestly a joke. They changed the oil (for an extra charge), changed the filter, and that was about it. £172 for something that barely qualifies as a basic service. The whole experience left us feeling uncomfortable and misled. This company absolutely preys on people who aren’t mechanically knowledgeable, and I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT USE SERVICING STOP — especially if you don’t know much about cars. They will try to take advantage. We will never use them again.

Started off ok but then got a call saying brake fluid, fuel filter and air filter needed changing. £700 for just these. I said yes as I wasn’t well and didn’t even think about checking elsewhere, as the guy on the phone made it sound like the MOT would be in jeopardy otherwise. Have since checked around and it’s double the cost of elsewhere. Customer service claims it’s because they use OEM parts and they’re so freaking amazing they couldn’t possibly charge what normal garages do. Total rip off. Avoid like the plague 😡😡😡😡

DONT DO IT unless you enjoy being ripped off by a bunch of untrustworthy people out to steal from you. I was given a quote of £217 for a full service, then - once they had my car the price went up to £598 with a smarmy person on the phone justifying the extras that would have cost £160 from any other garage max.

I'm not sure where to begin! I wish I had read the reviews before I booked, as I would never have contemplated booking with service stop if I had.Can I also say that every thing that all of the 1 star reviewers have said is fact, and I'm certain the majority of the 5* are fake. To begin with, the way it is set out online, it makes out that it is a comparison site set up, but unfortunately not, as you deal with the company 'Servicing stop' no matter which garage does the work. I booked for a full service and MOT, and the only thing that was done right, was the car was collected when the garage said it would.I was told I would receive a call around 4pm for my car to be returned. I did receive a call at 4pm to be told my car had failed its MOT on incorrect rear pads. I had new discs and pads replaced a few months previous, so questioned this, but was told this was the case and the vehicle was now classed as dangerous and they would not release it until it was rectified. It was a pressured call, talking very fast, wanting a quick answer, but needing the car for going away, as I tow with it, had no choice. If I'd looked into it further, I would have realised they cannot keep your car, and could have had it towed back home. The charge for the work was £505 on top of the £178 I had already paid for the service/ MOT. The guy I was speaking to then went into a list of items he said needed doing to the car. I won't repeat them, as others who have reviewed have mentioned the same as mine. Seems to be a theme! The total now quoted for all the work was almost £1400, which I couldn't believe, as being on a pension, would make a massive difference. The only grace was he offered to let me pay over 6 months interest free, which I had to agree too. I then contacted the garage who did the work, asking which parts were used, their labour charge etc, and found a huge difference between what they would charge and what I had been charged. For example, to have the brakes replaced would have cost £225 and not £505 charged. As for the rest. at least double/triple what they would have charged. What an absolute rip off! I sent numerous emails complaining about the issues I had and the reason it failed, but received no replies whatsoever. I then messaged customer complaints, and again, no replies at all. Is this how a good company conducts itself? I then contacted Citizen's advice, who tried to be helpful, but unfortunately couldn't. They mentioned getting in touch with the Financial ombudsman, which I did, and they are being very helpful in trying to see if anything can be done on the credit side. The work was done in July, but waited until now to review, so I had as much information as possible. I'm surprised the company has been allowed to get away with this sort of underhanded business practice, and something needs to done to prevent others falling into the same trap. Whatever you do, read the 1* reviews as they are totally accurate of the way the company deals with it's customers. Even the replies to the reviews are majority generic replies. Please do not contemplate booking with 'Servicing stop' as I guarantee it will not be a positive experience.
