my glasses were very poor and did not do what was promised. I was refused a refund and offered alternative that I did not really want Go somewhere else!

Don't use this Optician's for Glasses, They supply poor quality frames, they were very expensive for the awful quality I received and the customer service wasn't great, they didnt seem interested after I had left the shop and spent a fortune. Screws came out of the glasses and I had to buy more. The frames were very flimsy and seemed to feel like they were falling apart after a few wears. Won't be using Scrivens again.

I am a really disgusted customer. I have been waiting 3 weeks for a simple pair of reading glasses. The original prescription was of no use. This has been very poor for a pensioner who has recently had 2 cataract operations. I was going to recommend you to a friend, but shall not do so now.

I had to change a booking which I had made online so called the link on the appointment confirmation which was my local shop. No one answered the phone after several attempts and I was repeatedly transferred to the customer service team. No one answered these calls either so I emailed to complain to be told I would have an answer in ten days after they have investigated… guess what? No response. You are a service based company right??

New Brighton store badly managed. Give me the wrong information re my glasses . Waste of time. Do yourself a favor.Go somewhere else

Very poor service. My appointment was rushed. I was given very little explanation of my hearing loss. My hearing aids were shoved at me , again with little explanation. I was told someone would phone me after 2weeks. Nobody phoned. Very disappointing service

This company is a disgrace. Not dementia friendly. They have left my grandad with 0 hearing aids for over 3 weeks pending (despite reading other reviews where they replace hearing aids immediately… including spares) and refuse to discuss/ make appointments with family members… even though they have met my grandad so can clearly understand how hard it his for him to do these things himself. He cannot drive, he finds it hard to understand things… and He CANNOT HEAR. Their customer service team are rude. I would avoid if you are looking for somewhere that is capable of respect for the dementia community. On another note… my grandad is now ill and cannot understand/answer doctors questions because he cannot hear… luckily the drs don’t have a problem talking with a patients family.

I had my eyes tested by your options also bought the glasses from you when they came I couldn’t see through them so they gave me a refund for the glasses fine ,so then I went to another options and had to pay £25 because I had already had my free test from you. The option I went to couldn’t understand why my prescription from Scrivens was so different from the prescription he did I told him that because of your mistake I was out of pocket for the sum of £25.00 so he told me that because the error was scrivens I was well with in my rights to be reimbursed, both prescriptions have been to you and when I phoned customer service Ales told me to get it off specsave who did the right prescription although it was your error. So you can understand that I find that scrivens isn’t taken responsibility for the error which was made by there opticians. I am a 68 year old lady who can’t afford to be out of pocket over a mistake that your optician made. I was been generous with the one star. No recommendation from me

Scrivens have just sent me mail despite the fact that I told them that I was no longer a patient/ customer of theirs. I wouldn't trust scrivens to provide a decent usable set of hearing aids ever again. Also they are completely deaf towards anyone's leaving them. You will get unwanted mail and communications from them for ever. Anyone but Scrivens.

Would never recommend Scrivens service to get an appointment is awful gn resound are according to Scrivens unable to manufacture a correct size ear piece for there top range hearing aid which I find totally unacceptable having paid over £2500.00

I purchased a pair of Emporio Romani varifocal spectacles in 2003 but after a few weeks the right arm became loose so the local branch tightened it, only for it to happen again and again. They then replaced the item with the same frame but it happened again. Then, the silicone sleeve on the left arm split asunder, leaving a sharp edge to rest on my ear. I asked about another replacement oh to find that the producer had been withdrawn (I wonder why?). Even though it less than a year since the second frame was produced, Scrivens claimed that any warranty related to the first pair and refused to replace them or make a contribution to a different pair. Now, the silicone sleeve to the other arm had failed completely and I am relying on a sticking plaster to stop it cutting into my ear while I am away on holiday. Thanks, Scrivens, for nothing!

You ask what went wrong,very simple . The aids in spite of return and “repair “ more than once would not recharge . By trade standards I was within my rights to reject and have a refund. Scrivens would not refund a penny so my £600. was gone and I had no aids. I will never trust or trade with them again. I would likewise recommend that others do not use them either.

Literal thieves! I went in for a new eye test and advice on a new medical condition - I was charged £400 and left with unusable glasses. They couldn't even get my sunglass lens colour right, leaving them patchy & unusable

It took six weeks for my hearing aids to arrive. Upon arrival I had problems but the call centre assisted me and I wore them for three days. Since then I have experienced great difficulty getting assistance with them. I have called in to speak to them and they were too busy to speak to me. I have rung the call centre and was given an appointment in Royston, Herts when I live near Royton, Oldham. In conclusion, in the fourteen weeks I have been in the customer care of Scrivens, I have managed to wear my aids for approximately 3/4 days.

Many months ago at an appointment with a Scrivens audiologist at my local medical centre I asked him to check my ear for me as the dome on my left side hearing aid was no longer attached and I was concerned it was lodged in my ear .The audiologist immediately expressed doubt but did check my ear and said the dome was not there but there was hard wax present . After being literally deaf in one ear and periodically in some discomfort for 4 months , despite using medical grade olive oil to help disperse the wax throughout that time I consulted with a nurse whilst having a routine blood test . I asked her if she wouldn't mind checking my ear for me . She immediately advised I had a foreign object in my ear which was confirmed with a senior nurse. She was so concerned she made an appointment immediately with the ENT clinic at the nearest hospital . The missing dome was extracted a few days later !!!!!!! I emailed Scrivens customer care on 14th May and sent them a photo of the dome found in my ear . I received a response 16 days later apologising and saying the matter will be dealt with by senior management and investigated internally . Meanwhile they would post some spare tubes and domes to me . They did not arrive so I sent another email and did receive them . Eventually after much reflection on 4th October I emailed Scrivens customer care and said I felt they had failed in their duty of care and I wished to return the hearing aids and asked for a prepaid envelope in which to return them .Their response was to send me an email saying they were very sorry I had not received the tubes and domes !!!!!! On 7th October I replied and asked them why they responded in such a way to my request . As of today , 22 days later they have still not responded !!! Meanwhile I have received two letters asking me to complete a questionnaire to check whether I need any further assistance . You couldn't make it up .
