“I recently had hearing aids from Scrivens and they have changed my life as I can hear again .The Lady who sorted my problems out was brilliant couldn't do enough for me so Thank you to all at Scrivens in Fleetwood”

“Still waiting for my glasses 4 weeks after appointment, and now advised have to wait another 2 weeks!!??? Paid a lot of money for the glasses and advised usually 2 weeks. Poor communication and service very disappointed. Instead of an apology, a partial refund would go some way to address the above!!! Going to write to head office to complain”

“I attended both the Opticians and the Hearing Care departments. Appointments were easily made and flexible. No waiting time to be seen. All staff very professional and very helpful. I would highly recommend Scrivens in Huddersfield. 😊”

“My 91 year old Dad had his hearing aids made by Scrivens and they took months to get them. They would not go to his nursing home to fit them. He has Vascular dementia and cannot walk. He constantly needs the toilet. I had to take him with a carer from his nursing home 1 mile to the local clinic to get the ear moulds Measured. We then eventually got his hearing aids weeks later after chasing them up many times. Due to his condition he has now lost them in the nursing home. He has no quality of life as he cannot hear without aids. We asked if they would replace them at our cost and they refused our request. Scrivens do not answer the phone all the time and do not reply to email unless you specifically ask them for a reply. They state this on their email. What's the point ? Scrivens seem to be running their business on a shoe string and very under staffed. When i asked them for Dad's personal data they had lost his earmould details. Very careless of them. Now a 91 year old, who can't walk and has vascular dementia has to go through all this process again . Not good service at all.”

“Do not go to Scrivens in Widnes! I paid £99 for 2 pairs of glasses that are no good.I cannot see through them and they don’t fit properly.Sent an email expressing my dismay, to no avail. Very unprofessional in my opinion.”

“Very professional and helpfull. Accurate diagnosis and prompt direct referal for caterac surgery. Post-op after care was effective and reassuring. Reading glasses were available for collection 5 working days after eye test.”

“You sent me an email reminding me that my current hearing aids were now 2 x years old. You also asked me to complete a survey, yet nowhere in that email or survey was I asked about my loss of hearing condition, which has deteriorated over the past 2 x years. Isn't the whole point of the communication to check up on the patient?”

“Had good service at my Doctors surgery,...now at last I can hear my GUITAR..lol...had Trouble at first fitting into Ear ..but after about a week have no problems,...”

“My hearing test was easy to book and was very thorough. The practitioner was very friendly and reassuring. When I collected my hearing aids, everything was explained and any questions answered. I was impressed with the service and know that if I have a problem in the future, help is readily available. I will certainly recommend the Thornton branch to my friends!”

“I have been a customer of this practice for many years and have stayed loyal to them because the service is excellent. Friendly helpful staff plenty of choice when choosing a change of specticals . Its a pleasant place to visit and always a positive experience. The opticians are very thorough, patient and offer sound advice. Very satisfied.”

“Staff are very friendly in my experience for my local one this last experience was really good as I had an eye problem which led me to have to goo to the hospital and the problem has be rectified I have been using scivens for the last 30 odd years”

“I was unwell last week and had to go to A&E with the sudden onset of blurred vision, the Doctor at the hospital wanted me to see an optician that day, I rang Scrivens in my small town of Fakenham in Norfolk to see if they could get me in, which I thought would be highly unlikely, they had a cancellation so slotted me in straight away, the two ladies in the shop were so helpful and so caring, the optician Henry was very thorough too, I’ve got eye pressure behind my left eye, the optician saw me again the next day to check them, as soon as I walked in the young ladies I saw the day before asked how I was, they made me feel relaxed and a valued customer, even though it was my first visit.”
