We were informed that our shower screen was dispatched a week ago, but it still has not arrived. The company that it has been assigned to (Furdeco) cannot give us a projected delivery date, so we are having to put off our installer, with even more delays. The shower has been unusable for two weeks.

Good morning Kelvin, We're sorry to hear you've been without a shower for a couple of weeks. We can see you ordered a shower enclosure displaying a 3-7 day delivery ETA on Saturday the 23rd. We provided dispatch information and a tracking link for your order on Tuesday the 26th. The tracking link shows the item has been dated for delivery tomorrow on the 3rd, which is 6 working days from placing your order with us and within the ETA displayed. A quick call could have could have been made to confirm any details and avoid any unnecessary confusion with fitting dates. Thanks for buying with us Kelvin, we hope you enjoyed the Easter break. Short and fast delivery but not sure if that was a good thing as the 5 litre waterproof compound bucket had been severely damaged and leaked everywhere. Lucky enough there was bubble wrap around otherwise probably would have lost alot more. Didn’t have to time to return as I had a timer booked in and needed to tank asap, so had to suffer it. Everything else I ordered was fine. Would still recommend I was just unfortunate this time round

Ordered 3 WHITE SPARKLE mega board shower panels when they arrived 2 were the same colour one was much darker, unfortunately it was only noticed when the fitter had fitted them. Rubber duck didn’t want to know so we are now stuck with bad non matching panels. If I had ordered them at different times u could have explained they were from a different batch but I ordered them all together so buyer be very aware!

Good morning Toni, We're very sorry to hear about the issue with your installation. The items purchased are dispatched direct from the manufacturer and it's very rare to see a colour mismatch on panels purchased on a single order. Had we been notified prior to them being installed we would have happily replaced the board. Unfortunately once an item has been installed, we cannot process a replacement with the manufacturer. To help avoid instances such as this we advise all customers to check items for any issue on arrival or shortly thereafter. In terms of the installation, the guides also advise on dry fitting to help with any pattern or colour match from one panel to the next. Excellent prices and reasonably acceptable delivery times. However, it was only when I had paid for the order that I was informed that the delivery of mega heavy and awkward items would be kerbside only, that I would need to find someone strong and healthy to help both the delivery driver and me, and getting the items into my house was my problem. A pallet with extremely heavy shower base, shower doors etc was left on my driveway. I am 66 and not in the best of health. My son helped me and he has had 2 craniotomies for a brain tumour. Had I known the ludicrous assumption that every purchaser has a couple of big strong men available, I would have shopped elsewhere. I appreciate delivery drivers aren't insured or trained and Rubberduck is not alone in this. So why the hell can't they provide their own trained drivers to get the items inside the purchasers house, if needed? Charge an extra £30 or whatever and take the stress, worry and physical pain out of it for those of us who need it?

Hi Jacqueline, We're sorry you found the delivery service less than desired. We do display full info on how items are delivered to customers across the website pre-sale and in any email sent after purchasing too. We also operate a telephone line, so customers can speak to someone in the office to clarify any details before making a purchase too. If we could offer a UK wide delivery service to our valued customers without pricing us out of a very competitive marketplace, we would have done so many a year ago. As with most things in life however, it really isn't that simple unfortunately. It's great to see the item prices were appreciated and that the goods arrived in due course all without issue. Having placed an order for Highlife Bathrooms D shaped Rounded Soft Close Toilet Seat Code: 27620, the fixings showing on the web site are completly different to the seat that arrived. Once you take the seat out of the plastic bag you can not return the seat.

Good morning Derek, We're very sorry to hear the seat isn't what you were looking for. We can see you had emailed in asking about the hinge fixing prior to placing your order in Jan. We replied to say unfortunately we didn't have an image showing the hinge. Instead, we provided the details of the manufacturer, so you could confirm with them directly. That appears to be the last we heard up until reading your review this morning. Toilet seats are of a hygienic nature and, once any protective seal is removed, the manufacturer will not accept the return of the item. We detail this and how to check seats on arrival without removing the seal across every toilet seat listed on our website. Again, we're sorry the seat wasn't what you were looking for Derek. More of a problem with "direct from supplier" and their courier than Rubberduck themselves, but unfortunately this still reflects back to yourselves and affects your own reputation. Partial deliveries due to courier not putting it all on van, with main part on second delivery "been walking round it at depot all week mate". Appeared well packaged by supplier so not immediately inspected, but once opened damage rendered product unusable, and not able to be replaced as it had not been inspected within 2 days (i have to accept fault for that). Third part of delivery was "lost" and was re-sent swiftly by Rubberduck though. Not very communicative. Would now be very wary on what i ordered and where it was sent from.

Initial delivery arrived with an essential part damaged. The replacement part promised for the following Friday. At 3pm I called the company. Told that the part would not be delivered until Monday.All this time workers were cancelled 3 times. They required to be payed. This was extremely inconvenient as I was unable to shower for 10 days !! Cash of £35.00 was paid to the installer. Compensation of this amount would be appreciated. Ian McCallum

Items delayed shipment as was not actually in stock despite what web site said and when shipped missed items in picking so had to chase for missing items

Hi David, We're very sorry you were left unhappy with a recent order. We can see your order was picked up on the morning of the 24th Oct (Tuesday) and was dispatched using a tracked next day service on the 27th (Friday). The items arrived the following Monday, and you contacted us to say an item was missing. We dispatched a replacement without delay using a next day service. The service was very good and deliveries from suppliers turned up on time. However the wall panels that arrived were badly bent ! and if it had not been for the time it would have taken to get replacements we would have refused them. We ended up having to cut some of the panels in half and fitting extra joints in order to get the job done! Not ideal, and cost us a lot more in the long run. We feel this is a supplier issue more than Rubber duck as the service from their staff was exemplary.

Good morning Alan, We're sorry to hear about the bow in your panels. Looking back at the order, we can't see any communication on the matter. Had we been made aware we could have made an assessment and if necessary free of charge replacements would have been dispatched without delay. The panels purchased are 3/4mm thick and are made from a solid core composite plastic however. As we mention on the website, these panels do need to have some flexibility or they would be too brittle and cracks/breakages would occur more often. Also, we advise on how to install any panel that exhibits a slight bow and how you can remove a bow that could hinder installation on the page too. Ordered Panel Adhesive, Mastic and Bottom Trim for wall panels. 2 part base profile had a slight crease in it but that could have happened in transit and will not be a problem. Delivery was £25 which seems excessive but could not get it anywhere else. Came to use the panel adhesive and it had turned to putty as it was out of date. Contacted RubberDuck who apologised and offered replacement or refund. As I was in the middle of the job, I took the refund option.

Good afternoon Wendy, We'd very much like to apologise for the service received. We would never expect any customer to have to make use of a damaged item and would have happily sent across replacements using a next day service if the situation allowed. We try as best we can to protect the profiles by paying extra for guttering tubes to transport them inside. While this increases the packaging and transport cost to us, we've found this is the only way we can ensure the items arrive with minimal risk of damage. This is the first time I've used Rubberduck Bathrooms, I needed an Abacus Elements single fall tray and wanted to deal with a local supplier (I'm based in Durham) which is why I chose them. The order (which was sent direct from Abacus) was shambolic with items missing (twice), items damaged in transit (transported by a delivery driver who couldn't communicate with me because his English was so poor) and replacement items (for the ones missing) being incorrect. Would I use Rubberduck Bathrooms again, yes I would but only due to the real efforts made by Gary Murphy (Ecommerce Manager) to resolve the issues I experienced - a true 'customer experience' focused member of your team.

Good morning Nick, Thanks for taking time to leave feedback on the item. This review request was in relation to the service offered by us rather than the product delivered. We can see you ordered on the afternoon of the 17th, the item was dispatched within a few hours using a next day delivery service and was delivered without issue. The item itself retails at £6.50, which we find is more than competitive when you compare us across other online retailers such as Screwfix (£14.99), Amazon (£19.99), B&Q (£14.99). The bath panel arrived very well packed. Unfortunately there was a small, half a little finger size, dent on one side and this must have been present before it was packed. The dent was very near to the edge of the panel and was unnoticeable when fitted, as under lip of the bath. Would have been sent back otherwise

Hi William, We're very sorry to hear about the damage to your bath panel! The panels arrive pre-boxed supplied directly by the manufacturer. We then look to apply extra package protection before sending them out using a tracked next day service. We do check an amount as they come in to us for QC purposes and it's very rare that we find any issues. In the rare instance there are any issues, we send out free of charge replacements ASAP. Whilst searching online for bathroom products, this is just about the best website I came across. It seemed to have everything we needed, plus handy hints for things we'd missed in our basket, and a range of things that were great quality and cater to all tastes. So, "front of house" operations are pretty great to be fair. But in equal and opposite measure, the "back of house" stuff is dreadful. Items dispatched totally willy nilly, no notice of when you need to stay at home to receive your items, if you don't happen to be at home, no delivery note saying they missed you is left. You call customer services and get told "Tuesday" this week and then it turns out to be Thursday. With no notice it swapped from one to the other. They claimed they'd called but if they did, they never left a voicemail and e-mail would have been far more practical. The items, when they did finally come, were in a shocking state with packaging near totally destroyed, its a wonder none of the items had to be returned. Total shambles.

Good morning Lloyd, We're sorry to hear you feel the service could be improved. We can see this order was placed on the evening of the 14th and a dispatch email was sent over on the morning of the 16th. This email contained your ETA of the 19th, which was the Thursday. The panel ordered was distributed directly by the manufacturer. We pay for a delivery service that allows your delivery to be booked in VIA a telephone call prior to dispatch. Which helps customers to be present at the point of delivery. If the call was made and a message was not left we can only apologise. Rubberduck Bathrooms Team

The product supplied by you is first class and has made a great job. How ever the tub of water proof sealant was completely slit down one side of the tub. This was obviously known before dispatch because it had been sealed into a plastic bag, which on opening was very messy.

Good afternoon Stephen, We're very sorry to hear about the issues with your delivery. We can assure you however that we would never knowingly dispatch any damaged item. To dispatch a tub of sealant (that could have ruined everything else contained in the delivery) would have caused numerous issues from a customer service / reputation management point of view. As well as impacting what small profit we make on each order, given the team would have to organise replacements etc. It simply would not be worth the hassle. The installation kits arrive pre-boxed and are supplied directly from the manufacturer and we send them out as is. We do check an amount for QC purposes as they come in to us and it's very rare that we find any issues.
