Good Afternoon Kevin, Thanks for taking time to leave feedback - We find it odd that we have a 1 star service rating however. Looking at the notes, we can see that you had placed your order in the morning and a refund was processed within a matter of hours later that day. The 'cheaper' product you referred to was not a like-for-like item, rather from a completely different manufacturer that uses less expensive materials. When you called back to request a price match, this was explained by the operator but you became rude and aggressive and ended the call. This was all while your client was in discussion with another member of staff, as they were putting together a quote on other items. Unfortunately for your customer we declined to offer that quote based on the call we had prior. Rude, patronising, sarcastic unprofessional and incompetent. Thankfully I didn't part with any money. I went to the Redcar showroom for a pre-arranged appointment. I was immediately greeted with a "your late and I cant see you as my next customer is due". I wasn't late they messed up my appointment and David who did my survey was double booked but chose to see the other customer. Before he left, he showed me a design of my bathroom on his laptop saying the pipe to the toilet was a problem and they would have to dig the floor up, he had mentioned this as a possibility when he came out to do the survey. I told him I didn't want the floor digging up as it was concrete and because he had also said there would be a risk, I didn't want to take the risk and said I would just like a replacement toilet where the current one is. He said "I assumed you wanted a bathroom in the 21st century" and walked off. I should have walked out at this point. He then left me with an assistant who had no measurements or photographs of my bathroom despite the fact David had taken several and he asked me to describe the plumbing of my toilet! He said he couldn't show me a toilet that would fit and didn't have the measurement of how far the box might be at the back and my door may hit the toilet as it is only a small bathroom. A very odd comment to make as my current toilet isn't hit by the door. He was so patronising I had completely had enough, I thanked him(god knows why I did that but I am a polite person), I said I would be going somewhere else and walked out. My advice is to go somewhere else, they made me feel belittled, upset and completed wasted my time, I had driven from Northallerton.

4 attempts to receive delivery. Still outstanding one part of it. FedEx very unreliable and everything damaged on more than 1 occasion.

We do our best to make sure orders are delivered ASAP without issue but we're aware that couriers at times can be a little overzealous during the busier periods, however. We listen and learn from customer feedback and we are looking into ways to negate the increase in courier damages during the busier periods. I ordered 4 acrylic shower panels & they were delieverd as two packages Yhe first package was obviously damage with a piece of timber sticking out of the middle of the panels. The delivery guy had carefully leant them against a wall with the damage facing the wall The second package was also damaged along the long edge where the package had probably been dropped. This wasnt obvious until I unwrapped the panels completely sometime later. I had two replacements delivered in 5 days which was good and they were ok Then I had another two replacements delivered a few days later & both of the panels were damaged along one edge again. The whole charade has been extremely frustrating & embarassing having to explain to my client why they still cant use their new shower. Fedex who seem to make all the deliveries obviously dont take enough care when handling these packages and it is a lottery whether they arrive undamaged. In my opinion Rubberduck should either change their delivery company of substantially improve the packaging so the panels are protected against mishandling during transportation. I would be very reluctant to oreder any more acrylic panels from Rubberduck in the future. Paul in Surrey

These items are packed using heavy cardboard edge protection and plastic wrap to ensure the protection remains in place during transit. We are aware however that, during times of increased demand on courier networks, damages can occur a little more often. It's great to see our team reacted in the right way and dispatched replacements as soon as we were made aware of any issue. We do listen and learn from customer feedback and we are looking into ways to negate the increase in courier damages during the busier periods. I ordered three panels for our new shower room, they arrived on time but due to the fact that our plumber had to go into hospital our work was delayed by four weeks. The panels sat in our garage unopened and undisturbed. When opened all three had damage. The plumber managed to salvage two due to the fitting size but the third no usr. Contacted Rubberduck and explained this but they refused to provide a replacement so we had to pay for a new panel. They said it would be delivered on the following Tuesday so we arranged for our plumber to be with us on the day. The panel did not arrive. My wife called them and was told they would contact the courier to see where it was. Three calls later Rubberduck said it had only just left their warehouse so was never with the courier in the first place. We have incurred a full days cost for the plumber and will have to pay a further days cost when the panel eventually turns up. On Thursday 1st December I was at work, on return the package was outside set against our house wall. My wife told me there was not knock on the door and first time she knew the package had arrived was when she went outside to put something in the bin then noticed a card fro FedEx in the hall. No signature provided from us and no opportunity to open and inspect the contents. When I returned from work I carefully open the package, thankfully I found no damage but if had, even without a signature, I don’t think Rubberduck would have replaced it. Customer service absolutely ZERO. Understanding customers concerns absolutely ZERO. Responding to customers needs absolutely ZERO. Members of my family have property portfolios in Chester involving many properties and are always refurbishing, there is no way I would ever recommend Rubberduck as a supplier of this product. When a customer has a genuine issue your company should respond by making the fault good no matter what the time frame is. You cost us more cash and your courier company failed to deliver and sign off in the required and expected procedure. Very disappointed customer Norman Roddy

Good Morning Norman, We're sorry to see that you have revised your initial 5 star review of our service. In your initial review, shown below, you mentioned you had opened and inspected all items and everything was in order. We're not sure what happened in between then and this review but it seems something isn't quite right. "Currently refurbing bathroom to shower room and replacing sink, toilet etc. buying all the bits myself and with a friend doing the install. Placed an order with Rubberduck for Aqua panels and found their price very acceptable. Within a day they gave me a delivery date followed next day with delivery details, courier etc. Next day time of delivery. Product arrived exactly on time, well packaged and once opened found a quality item exactly as described on their web site. Very pleased and would recommend." We do try as best we can to inform customers of the polices regarding damage on delivery. Given you had checked the items initially without issue, we could not then accept a damage claim over a month after receiving your delivery. For reference, we replace any damaged item regardless of signature received. So long as were informed within a reasonable timeframe. Rubberduck Bathrooms Team

Product good quality. But wrong item was ordered ( my mistake). But return’s policy shocking. Had to arrange my own courier that would have cost more to return than the items price.

Hi Mark, We're sorry to hear you're a little upset about having to pay to return an item ordered in error. We're not quite sure why you feel the returns policy is shocking however. We operate the standard UK returns policy as do 99% of other bathroom retailers. We appreciate that mistakes can be made when purchasing items online. To help all our valued customers, we look to display full product info with product images, specs and details surrounding delivery also. We operate a customer service line 6 days a week for any customers that need anything further too. If we were to offer free returns as suggested, we would have to significantly increase the prices displayed across the entire website to cover the cost. We would also significantly increase waste materials through use of extra packaging. We hope the above helps give clarity to our policies regarding returns. Rubberduck Bathrooms Team

It was over 10 days delivery time, I had to email and ask where the parts were. It seemed nobody had ordered them in from your supplier. Its a shame your dropshiping. They never came in time for our installers to fit, having left over 2 weeks for the fitting date. Had to source from elsewhere. Now im stuck with an order I dont need. Will not risk using again.

Good Morning Jason, We're very sorry to hear about the initial delay here. We can see the order was placed on the 20th and looking at the tracking links provided the order appears to have been delivered on the 28th. We typically stock and dispatch these items on a next day service however, in this instance, we were waiting on a stock order coming in to us and had to send them direct through the manufacturer instead. The order would normally carry a 2-5 working day ETA and we can only apologise for the extra day that it took to arrive. If you contact us within 14 days of receipt you could always return your items. Once accepted, a full refund will be provided so long as the items arrive back to us within 14 days after we confirm the return. Rubberduck Bathrooms Team

Th most difficult and harrowing experience at the hands of nice people on the face if it but systems and incompetence have left a bad taste in the mouth and finally a £700 order has been cancelled and after some heavy pulling if nails out the refund has been agreed. Buyer beware!

Our team sent over a quote and provided an ETA as requested at the time however, as the quote was never paid for as instructed in the email, the order was not placed with the manufacturer. This caused some frustration when you called about the delivery a few days later and found the order was not placed. Our team took payment at this stage and placed the order with the manufacturer immediately. This is a company that has highly predatory business practices! I ordered a toilet seat, which had a squared edge on the picture on their website, I received a toilet seat with a round edge. I contacted them for a return and full refund. At first they tried claiming that they did not have to accept a return after 14 days, despite the item being not as described and therefore falling under the consumer right act with a 30 day return. Now they have issued me a refund for the toilet seat but are refusing to issue me a refund for the cost of delivery and return postage. I am now 20 pounds out of pocket! I would have happily kept the toilet seat if it had been the one I ordered. They have tried claiming that their terms and conditions state that there might be small variations to the design, I have informed them that they are not legally capable of excluding themselves from the law, no matter their terms and conditions, which clearly state that I am entitled to be refunded for the cost of delivery and return. I have even spend my time sending them all relevant status as well as practice notes, yet nothing. Trading standards fully agreed and have launched a formal investigation. I highly recommend not wasting your time with this company and placing and order with them. If you still happen to be out of pocket due to their fault, please contact citizen advice, who will pass on all information to trading standards. Its obvious by the reviews that they have done this on a number of occasion, and are trying to get away with it by making false statements. I am sure this has worked on a number of occasions, with people who are not well versed on the law. I will most certainly not be one of them and have already issued a letter of claim and will be going to the county court next if they continue to avoid liability. I truly hope that if you find yourself in a position, like many others according to the reviews, where this company is trying to breach your rights as a consumer, through false and illegal claims you'll do the same. Read up on the consumer rights act 2015 and do not let yourself be fooled into believing they are able to avoid this through their terms and conditions.

The panels will arrive within the windows stated across the website before placing your order with full communication provided post-sale, so you know when to expect them also. Staff are very courteous and TRY to be helpful. However, as far as my product was concerned, they did not take responsibility for their suppliers; namely Shore Laminates, who provided me with a product ‘unfit for purpose’. I am still considering action through the Small Claims Court; it’s a pity I have to take this action against Rubberduck but they were my retailer. They should have been well aware of Shore Laminates track record which is well documented in their reviews.

This is the second time I have put an order in for bathroom ceiling cladding and both orders have had atleast 20% of the boards damaged, both times I have been in the middle of a job and I have had to buy replacement boards from other tradesmen I know to be able to finish the jobs putting extra cost to the job. On my last order I asked for the boards to be packed with extra packing to try and avoid this which was completely ignored. On my latest order I was promised my order would arrive before the Friday as the job was booked in for the Friday they actually turned up the following Tuesday I called Rubber Duck on the Friday and was told I would have a phone call back on the Monday however nobody ever called me on the Monday to confirm what was going on, cancelling the job and putting it back left the customer unhappy with our company. Poor service and absolutely no commitment to the customer as I should of been refunded for all the damaged boards on both orders. Sooner or later I'll be taking my business elsewhere

Good Afternoon Karl, We're very sorry to hear about the issues faced on your order. As with most online retailers, your item was supplied by one of the UK distributors used by Burlington. We appreciate things didn't go to plan and as a customer of ours, we can only apologise. The delay on receiving your missing part occurred due to the fact that the UK distributor who initially completed your order in Smiths-Briten, no longer distributes on behalf of Burlington. When you informed us of the missing part, we reached out to Smiths immediately but they no longer stocked those items and had to order them in before dispatching. We can see your part was due to be delivered this week on the 26th but failed as there was no answer and the redelivery attempt on the 27th also failed. We can see a message was passed so you can arrange for a more suitable time for the 3rd attempt. Thankfully, we don't see many changes at distribution level so this was an isolated incident. Non existent communication, which may have made the process 100 times better. I have had to call 3 times to find out the status of my product and although I was told yesterday it would be delivered today, I recieved an email this morning that it would be delivered tomorrow. I have had to take a total of 7 work days to stay indoors on it's arrival, when a simple call or email letting me know it's exactly delivery day would have worked. Bitterly disappointed.

We can see the order confirmation email went out at the time of ordering and we can see a tracking link was also provided on dispatch from the warehouse. It's unfortunate but sometimes emails can filter in to spam or junk folders and can be missed. Also, we do have the telephone lines open for all customers. Good Morning Lee, We're sorry you feel the delivery cost was a little too high. These wall panels are large bulky goods that are dispatched direct by the manufacturer. The delivery fee you see is simply the cost we incur in order to transport your goods to your home. We do not state anywhere across the website that these items come with free delivery. If you look across other suppliers, we're still one of if not the cheapest supplier online. Looking at this order specifically, we can see your items were delivered without issue within the timeframes stated across the website. I ordered 2 wet wall panels from this company (white sparkle ). I had a cheaper quote from another supplier by all most 140 pounds but decided to go we this company after readying the reviews. My order was placed and took longer to be delivered. Due to me been on holiday at the time of delivery my joiner took in the delivery. He checked over the wet wall products and all looked fine with no damaged or marking so all goods the 2 panel was taken in and installed to the bathroom. No recipe was given on delivery as E mailed to me. ( We didn’t think they was faulty ) When I returned home I found that the wrong panels had been delivered not white ones but 2 black ones with white end caps. Total cost to me was 375 pound for the panels. I made a compliant to the manager this morning to find him extremely rude to me on the phone offered no help for their mistake and basically started to laugh down the phone at me. If you are about to place an order with this company please think twice before doing so I wish I had this kind if info before placing the order. The customer service is one of the worse I have ever dealt with. I was told by the manager that human error happens and it not there fault for sending the wrong ones. please stay away from this company as if anything goes wrong with your order they will be no help or refund available.

Good Morning Tommy, We're very sorry to hear about the issues faced here. Looking across the details, we can see that Black Sparkle panels were delivered when you had ordered White Sparkle. We can only apologise for this error and any inconvenience it may have caused. The problem was compounded by the fact the items delivered were accepted and then installed. As a retailer, we cannot arrange for a collection and replacement panels to go out from the manufacturer several weeks after installation. To account for rare issues such as this, we advise customers to check deliveries on receipt or as soon as reasonably possible for any discrepancies. On reporting, we arrange for replacements to be dispatched ASAP to minimise any delay. We have offered to replace the panels at a heavily reduced cost however this was declined. Shower wall panel was damaged. But as we didn't open the packaging until 3 weeks after the delivery (to ensure it was kept safe) we are now left with a broken unusable panel. Sticker on panel is dated 12.01.2020 so it's obviously been sat in a warehouse for 18months and has been stood on

The panels purchased are distributed by the manufacturer directly and are stored at height on a shelving system within their warehouse. We find damage to the corner of the panels is more typical from either poor courier handling when in transit to the customer, from moving the panels after arriving on site or duriing installation. As we're aware that damages while rare can happen from time to time, we advise customers to check deliveries on receipt or as soon as reasonably possible for any damages or discrepancies. Delivery driver turned up this morning at 7:40 without any notification from Rubberduck or the delivery company of when to expect them. The driver rang the doorbell, waited 20 seconds and then got in his van and drove off with my order. No phone calls or any form of communication to say a delivery was attempted. A call to Rubberduck customer service was pretty pointless as they basically said delivery is usually "Between 7am and 5:30pm" (which is just a tiny bit vague unless you expect people to sit at their house all day with no toilet or bathroom, waiting for a delivery) and it's out of their hands and a redelivery won't be attempted today (Friday) and will only be reattempted on Tuesday....really??? Sounds like you guys need a better delivery company because that is just complete rubbish!

Good Morning Craig, We're sorry to hear that you missed your delivery this morning. We can see your order was placed with us on the afternoon of the 5th and a dispatch notification was sent an hour after confirmation of that order, which contained a delivery ETA scheduled for today. As detailed in the dispatch email, the panels themselves are delivered directly by the manufacturer themselves and they operate an all-day service between 7am and 6pm. Multipanel deliver in certain areas on certain days to help minimise delivery windows for customers. As they plan driver routes for that day, they can't simply turn around and go back to customers that missed their delivery. If they did they would potentially miss one of the later drops for that route. In any event, with redelivery taking place Tuesday, your panels will still arrive within the windows stated across the website at the time of ordering.
