Excellent booking service, Emma Gray our cruise concierge, was extremely helpful in finding us a cabin on the Rhine discovery river cruise. We wanted to meet up with friends from Canada who already had a reservation on the Viking longship Ksvasir. This she managed to do for us even though it was a late booking and only one cabin left. Not to sure about how we will feel with being partly below the waterline and a tiny window but will find out very soon! If the trip is as good as the booking experience it will be great.

Very confusing and frustrating booking process. No one seems to actually know what holidays are available.Having booked one room suddenly it wasn't available,we then made a substantial upgrade on the basis that a particular cabin was available but in fact it took a couple of weeks before we knew whether we had secured that cabin. Staff (cruise concierge !) whom I guess are telephone home workers, were less than helpfull and I felt that we were simply presented with take it or leave it options. And the confusion over the date for final settlement did not leave us feeling good. The cruise company asks for full payment 3 months before the holiday starts (which I think is quite onerous) but River Voyages suddenly asked us to pay 5 months in advance and were quite difficult when we resisted - not least because there is absolutely nothing on their website or anywhere else to suggest that this is part of the deal. We are virgin river cruisers and are now quite fearfull of what the actual cruise will turn out to be like. Hopefully the cruise company is simply badly served by its agent.

I had thought about a River Cruise for some time, but wanted to do it on my own, so my initial call was to find out single supplement costs etc. Hannah (cruise consultant) not only found me prices with no single supplement, but also specific cruises with itineraries as examples. I have now booked a River Cruise for November - there was no pressure, no 'you'll need to hurry', and everything was conducted in a very professional consultative way. If I enjoy my first ever River Cruise, I would immediately come back to this company to book again!

Our booking was handled very efficiently by Hannah, who responded very quickly to any questions that we raised. Now we are looking forward to the cruise in May.

I have recently booked two cruises one for this year 2015 & one for next year 2016 with River Voyages. Very pleased with the overall service & the price was very good as well.

The cruise concierge, Sandie Collier, was most helpful, giving me advice as I have not been on a river cruise before. She was patient and informative and sent useful information about the excursions. This made the booking process relatively easy.

As the river cruise was with The Royal Crown it was a holiday we had to have. The booking was easy and your representative took much trouble in arranging all we asked for. He managed to obtain a suite for us on the boat, and arranged for Business class on the flight. Excellent service.

Yet to go on the cruise (July) but the choose and booking procedure has been painless and straightforward. Went on a sea cruise with their sister company (Sixstar Cruises) last year and the organisation & programme was faultless and the cruise delightful.

Very pleased with all the help I have received with the booking of my holiday but fail to understand why I have to pay balance in April when we don't go on holiday until August this seems to be very wrong and bad practice for your firm and if this is so I will not be using you again.

Maura who did the booking was excellent nothing was to much trouble for her and rang me back a few times getting things sorted. Now we just have to wait 16months before our cruise starts.

From the very start I found it was easy to book with River Voyages. The staff at the other end of the phone were so helpful. From time to time I have phoned up and they answered all my questions giving me plenty of information. Based on all this help I am looking forward to my holiday with River Voyages. Jane Hill+
