Many thanks for the review. Despite a long and busy life your Hitachi Desktop drive failed after 6 years of continuous use. Our lab carries stock of donor parts and our engineers are the best in the business. Despite a head crash and bad sectors the quality of the recovery speaks for itself 99.98% 218.6GB and within the budget quoted at the outset. “Great communication with everyone via email & phone, they recommended not to settle the bill until satisfied with the service and managed to recover my files which another company were unable to, returned hard-drives safely packaged and quickly delivered! Many thanks for the review Scott, As is often the case all that is shiny is not necessarily gold, and when told your hard drive could not be recovered you did well to select a true Seagate data recovery specialist. Our team of engineers have recovered many Seagate drives declared unrecoverable by UK and European labs and we are used as an escalation route for some of the most severely damaged and degraded drives which other labs and data recovery experts do not have the time or resources to handle. However this expertise, experience and the resources of the R3 Data Recovery Hospital based at Security House in Sheffield does come at a what appears on first glance to be a premium price. In reality we are cost effective and realistic about the cost of carrying our data recovery at the highest success rates and most economical cost. Unfortunately even a nearly new drive can fail if it is subjected to external interference beyond its design parameters. But WD drives are generally better quality and providing they are not subjected to software recoveries after a drop or knock, they will be fully recovered by the team at R3 Data Recovery. Many websites claim to be engaged by well known companies and emblazon the brands and logos of well known organisations that they claim to work for. As a company working for some of the largest international and British companies we are under NDAs not to publicise data loss or data breaches. but we appreciate any personal reviews and do our best to assist those affected by those who mislead their clients. “R3 Data recovery was able to completely recover all data on my crashed external hard drive when several other data recovery specialists said that data could not be recovered. The old hard drive could not be used but R3 Data Recovery provided a new external, proprietary brand hard drive with all the data on it in the same file format and folders as the original. It was ready to use immediately with no need for review and editing. Turn around time was only 4 days and there was after hours support as well. Most of the data was my professional work data and so its complete recovery saved me immeasurable trouble and time. “They literally came to the rescue! Hard drive failed on the Friday before August bank holiday, our magazine had a deadline for 31st August. R3 Data Recovery picked up the hard drive from South London, took it to Sheffield, rescued the data the next day and started to upload the most important files to us, available to download on Sunday... deadline met, no embarrassed faces required to explain what happened. The young people working on the project have only enhanced their reputation and it's all down to R3 Data Rescue. Forever grateful! Hi Andy and the Disorder Team Keep up the good work, glad we could assist. Despite the travel distance and London being a city full of London Data Recovery Labs - when it comes to data recovery R3 are actually more cost effective and successful in recovering data from dropped hard drives. Our emergency courier collection service and data recovery cost is still actually a lower overall cost thanks to our higher success rates and investment in engineers and equipment, and economy of scale of operation. Despite a scratch at the start of the platter the drive was fully recovered and over 80GB of video and post production project files uploaded for fast availability. Thank you for the review. “Like most of us I had intended to "back up" my data. I even had a hard drive separate from my computer - but this tended to be used as frontline data storage and the "back up" was included and thought "safe". When it failed I thought many precious and unique files were lost. My local repair shop could not help and then I saw R3 on an internet search. Perhaps it was a bit expensive, but the return of those files together with a new hard drive and the confidence of all those to whom I spoke were worth every penny. I even have two extra hard drives now. Having R3 and all the team on the other end of the phone is totally reassuring and I cannot recommend them highly enough. As they say, a friend in need is a friend indeed!”

“After a nightmare experience with a DIFFERENT company, who took a large sum of money for nothing but corrupt files and spent another 2 weeks prolonging the problem, avoiding calls and being unfathomably unhelpful - I went to R3 for help, who managed to return all my files within 2 days at half the price. Even after the job was complete they have still been helpful and reassuring in every way. I would highly recommend R3. I have found negative reviews in regards to the other data recovery agency, I wish I saw them earlier.”

Hi Anne This was a quite involved case to recover a Microsoft works .wps file which was overwritten by a blank version of the same file name and then an upgrade of Windows to a newer version further compounded the corruption in the recovered versions of the file needed. This required an extraction of the text from damaged files and piecing together as much of the 135 pages of the document as possible which made up several chapters of a book. Thank you for your feedback and I trust you recognise the lengths we go to as a company to help those unfamiliar with computer files, file systems and the complications of a finding a lost document within millions of results purely from a few keywords.
