“We had an emergency situation where some critical data that had not been backed up was on a hard drive that failed Thursday afternoon and it was Easter bank holiday time. Without any help my niece would have lost all her coursework (a major tranche to be submitted that Tuesday). After trying all realistic local options R3 Data Recovery provided a service that was exceptionally fast which worked and enabled my niece on the Sunday to continue working and get her work in on time ensuring she passed her course. Despite this Seagate drive having already been declared unrecoverable with a faulty PCB but we managed to find a donor from our stock, only to find that the drive heads had suffered as well. A donor drive and a rebuild by one our engineering team achieved the desired outcome - a successful recovery and a quality of 96.80% of the 363.8GB of data. Many thanks for the work and the review.

With Water damage to air book and Apple Store Genius Bar unable to assist we were pleased to solve the corrosion and contamination issues that had resulted in a short circuit. and get a full recovery. Although SSD have some advantages, in the event of water damage and corrosion they can be much more problematic but once the circuitry repairs had been made a surprisingly full SSD drive of data was rescued in perfect condition.

Many thanks for the Review Martyn Fortunately we were able to get the data from the drive despite it having a scratch affecting over several million bad sectors, whilst there were a significant number of unread: 205209 and unprocessed: 2570537 the recovered data was in good condition. It may be possible to improve the results with another set of heads but the improvement would require considerably more time and cost whereas we were able to deliver the majority at the price quoted at the outset despite it being one of the more severe platter damages which many other data recovery services would not be able to process cost effectively. Many thanks for the review of the team John In this particular case PCWorld had already said the drive was mechanically failed and had offered to send it away. Gareth was able to give an accurate price for the recovery based on your description and on assessment in the lab it was confirmed the drive had suffered a head crash and had a severe scratch in the Firmware Zone, Lead engineer Lucio was able to stabilise the drive and effect a recover contents of almost 1.5 Billion sectors with only 500 being unreadable. The data was fully recovered and processed within the service level and pricing given at the outset. All the team involved at R3 take pride in giving the best quality Data Recovery Hospital service, be it an Accident & Emergency or a standard recuperation of data. “Like many people I feel like I live my life on my computer. I'm a creator with hundreds of files of writing on my drive, as well as the large amounts of media that we all accrue. When your drive fails at the eleventh hour in transferring it from an old and failing computer to a new one, it can seem like all is lost.
