“Recovered 99% of data so on that front cannot be faulted. Price, although whilst may seem expensive was cheaper than most other competititors. Customer service at times I found to be lacking - e.g. poor communication and keeping you in the loop of what is happening. Andy can be quite defensive when challenged. Would probably give another company a chance if ever in need of data recovery again. Would rather pay a bit extra for high quality customer service.”

Many thanks for the review Joseph. We both have things to learn from life and experience. Losing data and the implications can be distressing. Myself and my companies willingness to help those affected by such calamities is of course for a profit. Without which we cannot offer this service next month. But it comes at great investment, both in capital, people and resources. Your wishing to maximise your benefit from the cost of the situation at my companies expense is understandable from your point of view, it is your money to spend but my companies services have to be managed as a disaster management 24/7/365. Only front line emergency services recognise the level of investment and commitment R3 has undertaken in order to deliver a Real low cost data recovery lab in the UK. For both sides we do not need any unwanted expense. But to think that you could expect more for nothing from a company and its Director because it is willing to be available late at night and at weekends for less cost than another company that you had already visited who quoted more for what I had assessed your drive would need at the outset does make me defensive of my companies position. My team successfully recovered the data at the cost quoted. Your issue is we were unable to meet your expectations of someone else repurposing the failed unit to a working state. Your case is for us still a success, we are here to recover data, some may feel that we should be able to do for the money but we have considerable investment in staff, engineering capabilities and growing the company to meet the demands for our enviable success rates. From a single memory stick to a large server array. Those who recognise the dedication and investment that I have brought to the UK Data recovery market understand my defensiveness and unwillingness to back down to anyone who would attempt to manipulate a situation to get more than can be offered in the circumstances. Others will also have experienced that where possible and appropriate we go the extra mile but on some days and in some weeks of heavy demand we have to keep focused on the task at hand. “I guess I was like most people. We think, "Yes, of course I'll back everything up. I'll do it tomorrow." But that all important 'tomorrow' never comes. Out of the blue and with no warning, your hard-drive dies. Everything is gone - yes, everything - photos, presentations, reports, balance sheets - the lot! You research the possibility of recovering anything at all and if you're lucky, learn about 'R3 Data Recovery.' Although you believe everything is lost you hope that, maybe, somebody like R3 can help. You remove your hard drive(s) and send it/them off and hope. Then, like me, you receive a small external hard-drive with all my lost data on it. I sigh with relief and have since been using that external drive to back up religiously every week. I am determined that R3 Data Recovery will not get any further business from me - not for any negative reason though. Yes it cost me money but they did what I was assured was not possible and lets face it, the impossible has to cost something doesn't it? I'm no expert but believe that R3 Data Recovery technicians are. They did an excellent job for me. If your hard-drive dies, give them a chance and if anyone can recover your data, R3 Data Recovery can.”

Hundreds of resources I needed for work, and photographs from my university years. Many thanks for the Review Frances, and although negative from your point of view and understandable I would like to respond to help others reading this. Your case involved the recovery of files overwritten by new data and an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The recovered file quality report showed that 72% of the previous data had been corrupted and you felt the 28% of good files in the file list were of no use or not worth the cost of the recovery. We do try to help in every case and our charges were negligible compared to a competitor in the same situation who would have charged you £1200 for the same work and the exact same results. Unfortunately this is not an engineering level situation, it is matter of fact logical problem, data can be corrupted by overwriting, but the files may still have useful content. Deleting data or upgrading an operating system and losing access to files means the data is still there just not accessible, and the space is now available to be written to, never continue using the system and do not add more files until the previous data has been recovered to a separate storage device. “After finding out that the hard drive on our camcorder was corrupted and my husband hadn't backed everything up we were devastated as it contained all the videos of when my daughter was first born including her first Christmas. “My Mac book wouldn't boot and had 6 years of work on, I was told by local firm it was a fault in the hard drive and it won't let you just copy the data. I found R3 on a Google search and I spoke with Andy who clearly knows his game, I sent my laptop off in hope and was praying for all my documents, 4 days later I get the most amazing news they managed a full recovery of all my files. “Back in the early part of this year (2016) my memory stick got snapped after the cat jumping on the laptop caused the lap top to fall to the floor (not from a great height) but it was enough for the memory stick to snap between the terminals and the memory card / board. I had so much data on the memory stick that was very valuable and in need of being retrieved. I did the most silly thing on this occasion and that was not pre backing up the data on another memory saving device. I did the silly thing also by trying to resolder the broken parts using a self repair kit which unfortunetly made the situation worse. I searched the internet an came across R3 Data Recovery - the first company I came across and the instant decision I made to use the services they had on offer. R3 Data Recovery collected the memory stick by courier, took it back to their in house hospital, located all the data, sent it back to my home address by courier and had located all of the data that I had thought was lost all within four days total. At first my computer didnt recognise the memory stick and I could not download any of the work which R3 Data recovery placed on to a new memory stick. I made instant contact to R3 Data Recovery and they arranged for courier to collect, sent back to their hospital and realised it was a corrupted memory stick. Within three days the data was recovered once again, placed back on to another new memory stick and sent back to my address. All of the data was recovered once again and I was one very happy customer. I would certainly use R3 Data Recovery for any future data issues I might have and would definitely recommend to any one I know who might come across data issues. Fantastic service right from start to completion with the cost very reasonable indeed knowing the data was priceless. Thank you so very much indeed.”
