When ordering my Makita Hammer drill DHR171 l rang yourselves and asked for advise which was given and found very helpful from placing the order on line things went down hill from there. l received a text from DPD at 8.47 on the following day to say my parcel would arrive between 12.15 - 13.15 the parcel was not delivered between these times at some point l received a text to say the parcel had been delivered with a photo attached showing the parcel out side some white PVC French windows showing a lady suede slippers receiving the parcel and the address was given as Leeds and a name of Whitehead. We live in a Grade 2 listed Cottage and the doors are solid oak not PVC this advised the parcel had been delivered at 12.20. Once received l called your office at 12.51 and explain this to the lady she advised that she had a picture of the parcel outside a green door at N03 South Clough Head we own no 3 that is also a solid oak door all the information was incorrect she said she would call me back this never happened which is very disappointing. l came out of work to take delivery which never occurred. South Clough Head is a private track so on my back to work l thought about the green door there is a pastel green door on the Barn next door so l knocked on there door the Delivery driver had knocked on the door and left the parcel on there door step the neighbour handed the parcel too me . l still have not received a call from Power Tool World again very disappointing l look forward to that call. At present l am looking at buying the Makita site radio and l wanted to buy this from yourselves but undecided at the moment

placed a big order one item come that was about 4 days late the other one come and used it I've got to now send it back as it's not working not very good at all

We can see that the Saturday delivery charge has been refunded to you and an investigation is underway with our courier. Regarding the faulty item received, as you can appreciate, on occasion products can arrive damaged or faulty. We can appreciate your frustration here and can see that a member of our customer support team has sent you a pre-paid label for you to return the faulty item for a refund. I’d expect replacements for faulty equipment to be sent out rather than customers having to buy replacements at their cost.

We offered a number of options to get you up & running as quickly as possible including buying a replacement which we would then credit on receipt of the faulty unit. I can confirm that although perhaps not ideal , your replacement charger was with you the following day & that your refund has been processed. The drill is great as you would expect from Makita. Unfortunately delivery and aftersales was poor.

Order arrived two days late, if you offer a next day delivery please be able to delivery the next day, people use that service when they are in a hurry, if you can’t provide the service don’t offer it. A 2 pound refund for shipping is missing the point.

Item sent to me in a really shoddy very damaged box with no manual or packing insert - clearly a return - should have never been sent out as a “new item”. I have no issue with receiving a return, but not in this state. Should have been sold as new item - warehouse soiled or such

Really disappointed as my new Makita brushcutter broke within 2 days ! PowerTool World referred me to Makita, and I'm now waiting to hear from them about next steps.

Purchase was great and postage on time , however the delivery from DPD whom powertool must use was not great. I requested twice that they leave it with my neighbour and both times they took a photo of my doorstep and said they could not deliver. My neighbour waited bothe times for the delivery in the slot they promised and wasted her time. Just for reference I get multiple parcels from hermes,amazon and the Post Office and never have an issue . I will not use them again as I can't rely on their courier to follow the instructions they requested I give them on where to deliver to. I also contacted powertool World and informed them of the 1st missed delivery and they informed me they would advise DPD , only for it to happen again.

Powertool world need to bin DPD. Never recieved my order, DPD advised a delivery schedule and I had no intention being in so instructed to deliver next door on the link they sent. They did not attempt too Next day delivery, I knew again i would not be in but understood from DPD they would deliver next door or return to depo. (No biggie its a few miles away, I am happy to collect from there) DPD again made no attempt to deliver next door and then I got an email saying my order would be getting returned to powertool world... not to the depo as they had stated on all thier previous correspondence. Spoke to Powertool World who said nothing they could do and would issue refund. Powertool World are less than 40mins drive away, so asked if I could come and collect order from them. No, they won't do that due to covid restrictions.. ( the restrictions that for the most part have been lifted and now all shops are open?) Recieved a refund, but seem ridiculous that businesses can operate in such a fashion, surely Powertool World have made a loss on the order by DPD collecting, trying (half heartedly) to deliver, then returning it. Whoever is managing online sales at Powertool World needs a kick up the .....

Our staff safety is of paramount importance & we , as you note do not have a Covid compliant collection point . The Dewalt torch I ordered as a present for someone’s birthday came and the dewalt box was in a shocking condition. It was ripped and damaged on every corner and there was no seal so it seems like it had already been opened. I emailed the pictures and was told I could send it back for a full refund (not an option as it was for a birthday that was very soon) or I could get a £5 refund which I chose. However I am yet to receive the refund.

customer service was no help at all there product knowledge was terrible even down to telling me this item was now discontinued ??? its the very latest model??? got the feeling they just wanted to do sod all to try and help out not good at all

Pretty dreadful. I bought the Senco air gun starter kit (pc1010) and the gun was missing the male fitting that should be in the bottom of the gun. I rang up and was told it would be sent direct to me from Senco. That was three weeks and several phone calls ago. Nobody seems to care about the problem, and I get fobbed off on every call. Today I was told I would get £10 refunded and details of the correct fitting to buy so I could go and get the part myself. Recieved no info, and no refund. The mark of good customer service is not the sales that go right, but how the ones that go wrong are handled. Super disappointed in my purchase. Shouldn't have to pay an extra £10 after spending £300+ to get a product to work. I get that its poor QC at Senco but it can't take three weeks plus to get an airline fitting. Won't be using power tool world again.
