“The tool is fine - it was the delivery that was my issue I ordered specifically for next day (FRIDAY) delivery and adjusted my work schedule - delivery did not happen It was rescheduled by DPD for next day which was useless for me as I would be out I went onto the app and as it was raining heavily and I would now be at work - asked to leave the 300 pound tool in the shed at the side of the house He left it on my doorstep in the pouring rain in full view of the street, easily stolen and / or damaged I complained to PowerTool - their reply said basically that at least they tried to deliver next day and being a SATURDAY this wa basically going the extra mile What a load of tosh”

“Ordered the tool and expected to have an update on the order e-Mail etc, but it went quiet for a few days. All fine and delivered well though. Nightmare time trying to register the tool for extended warranty-but probably nothing to do with Power Tool World. Shame you only get a discount code After you’ve bought the tool. Great service overall though.”

“Beware of the ‘next day delivery’ promises. I ordered a dewalt table saw and took advantage of the ‘order before 7pm to guarantee next day delivery’ promise on their website. The order processed and I completed at 5:15pm. I received an automated acknowledgment of the order, followed by another email from DPD to say that they were expecting the parcel. Naturally I expected further emails with tracking details, but none arrived so the next morning I telephoned Powertool world to see if they could find it in their system. I was told very matter of factly that as I’d placed the order after 5pm they had closed for the day and the order wouldn’t be shipped until they’d come into work. When I said what their website claimed I was told that that would have to be taken up with their web design department and that nothing else could be done. I was told that the parcel would be collected by dpd that day and it would be delivered on the next working day, a Monday, as it was the weekend. I suggested that they’d falsely advertised the next day claim and that they might wish to offer a consideration to compensate me for the inconvenience of waiting in for another day until the parcel was delivered. That suggestion was quickly shut down as they maintained they had done nothing wrong. Further emails of complaint were similarly dismissed. To our surprise the package arrived on the Saturday! Fortunately we were at home, as I dread to think what dpd would have done with £500 quids worth of table saw if we weren’t there - probably left it on the doorstep and sent me a photo saying ‘delivered’ The tool itself is brilliant btw…”
