“Competitive on price and easy to order, however, part of my order was missing. I had to make 2 phone calls to get this resolved, despite being told I would be kept updated by phone/email. The box was a bit battered when it arrived but the item was in tact and works as sold.”

“Ordered and paid for drill. Received package with totally wrong three days later. Contacted PTW same day. Nothing from them after seven days, so I managed to speak to an assistant who set up an account for me to effect a Return. I was asked to return the drill [which I had not been sent!]; I objected to this only to be told that it was how their system worked [not fit for purpose], so I lied on request and the wrong items were collected 15 days after placing my order. Once they had their goods out of my hands, they said they could not supply the drill I wanted and gave me a refund for the price of the drill; however, I had also paid £11.95 for carriage which was not forthcoming - it appeared that I would have to pay for PTW sending me the wrong stuff. After protest, they did refund that too. So: lots of hassle, loads of emails, episode ran from 21st July to 7th August - but no drill. I was delighted that they were eventually unable to send one to me since the thought of another [deliberately induced?] Returns shenanigans had me terrified. Customer service people did their best [especially Abbie!], but they procedures are canted towards the company being always right and in regard to Returns, the customer has to lie to be permitted to return an item wrongly sent since, as one of their Customer Service agents noted, the system does not permit them to admit the return of wrongly sent items, my emails evidence this. My advice: before ordering, stock up on your blood pressure meds. If you have any spares, send them to Customer Services - they probably are in need of them. NEVER AGAIN.”
