“Very disappointed in this company. Would not cancel my order even though it was just two small items. Dispatched the order the following day over 24hrs after my cancellation request. Would not confirm whether would give full refund, maybe only a credit note.Checked returns policy and realised there could be restocking charges. Didn’t want to waste any more time as they are not customer friendly rather money orientated. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. My advice is to check the reviews and the return policies before you purchase.”

“I placed an order for a drill, chisels, batteries and a charger, but only the chisels and charger were delivered. I contacted customer service straight away to report the missing items. Unfortunately, the way I was treated was extremely disappointing. The woman I spoke to told me it was “strange” that I had received the chisels and charger and said that the warehouse had CCTV to check the order. The way she spoke to me made me feel as though I was being accused of lying or trying to make a false claim. She said she would investigate the matter and get back to me within 24 hours, but I never received a response. Two days later, I had to call again and explain the whole situation from the beginning. After being put on hold for around 20 minutes, the call was disconnected. I then had to call for a third time and explain everything again, this time to Annmarie in customer service. I was put on hold for another 30 minutes, but thankfully the issue was eventually resolved. The rest of my order finally arrived a week later. Mistakes can happen with orders, but the way this situation was handled was absolutely shocking. No customer should be made to feel like they are a liar or a thief when reporting missing items. This is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had. After all the hassle and the way I was treated, I will definitely not be ordering from this company again. I would strongly recommend other customers think twice before ordering.”

“I would strongly advise caution when dealing with this company. I ordered a drill driver set and paid in good faith, but unfortunately the goods never arrived. DPD failed to deliver the order and subsequently lost the parcel. When I contacted PTW, I was told there was nothing they could do. Customers should not be made to feel responsible for problems with deliveries, particularly when the issue is entirely outside their control. Staff should be properly trained to handle situations such as missing deliveries professionally and sympathetically, rather than simply referring customers back to the courier. While I appreciate that PTW uses a third-party delivery service, the customer’s contract is with PTW, not the courier. I would therefore expect PTW to take responsibility for resolving delivery issues rather than simply passing the blame to DPD. Fortunately, I paid by credit card and was able to stop the payment. However, had I paid by debit card, I would have been concerned about how easily I could have recovered my money. Overall, a very disappointing experience and one that could have been handled much more professionally.”

“The selection,purchase and delivery of the two products ordered was simple and efficient. However as I live c 40 minutes away from the warehouse I attempted to return and exchange the initial item purchased for the second. The initial response was negative/no can do you can only deal with us by post and online. After some discussion the person manning the front shop agreed to take the first item to the refund department and advised me that to obtain the 'exchange' item I would have to order it online and get it delivered. So a process that could have been done over a counter, in minutes, took 4 days. This type of situation may occur very rarely but it was frustrating to be met with a 'computer says' mindset when the easiest thing to do was to get the exchange item off the shelf and do the transaction there and then. Obviously if the 'old way' of purchasing/exchanging goods is too difficult and does not fit well with your business model then I understand but the 'shopkeeper' who was in front of me was unempowered to access the warehouse/shop and complete what should be a simple customer centric process.”
