I purchased a few items one of which was a Dewalt inlay tray for a DCG412 battery grinder. The inlay was not as advertised and was to small for the tool, I contacted Powertool World customer service (Mike) but as far as they were concerned the tool did fit even though the photographer provided clearly showed that it did not. I asked about returning the inlay and was informed that I could but would be at my expense. I will not purchase from this company again

My first order from Power Tool World and most likely my last. I ordered a professional Karcher pressure washer from Power Tool World. To be fair the order the price was very competitive and it was delivered in reasonable time. Upon opening up the package I noticed aside from the damaged packaging that the plastic cover had been cracked whilst putting together. I contacted customer services and asked if they could either send out a replacement panel or even to save hassle a £20 credit as I thought I could put up with the crack and it would be least expensive option for the company. The customer service representative said most the company would refund was £10 for damaged goods or would need to take the item back. To replace the panel would likely be nearer £60-80. (Surely the courier insurance on the goods would cover more than £10 damages?). Having spent the best part of an hour already putting the pressure hose together, I thought just sending out the replacement panel was the obvious solution. I was trying to explain this to the customer service representative and explain that was I was offering would be fairest option, but every time I tried to speak, the customer service representative interrupted me. This really got my back up and eventually I terminated the call. After further email correspondence I finally accepted the £10 refund as the company was not even be able to replace my unit (I was told due to lack of stock). To date I have not even received this refund. I am sure this company is fine when everything goes well, but my experience left me very frustrated, and wasted quite a bit of my time. I just found the lack common sense in dealing with situations like this staggering.

Hi , thank you for the feedback. We would like to apologise that your pressure washer arrived damaged & also for your frustration with the outcome, which I would like to explain. As the parcel was not signed for as damaged , there is no likelihood of a claim against the courier & as such the damage was probably caused during the manufacture or assembly process , hence our need to collect the unit & take it up with the manufacturer. Unfortunately we do not stock the offending part so were unable to fulfil your request on that . You are right that we sold out of this product so our only option was to collect & refund in full or offer a small refund for the damaged part , which I can confirm has been processed. Didn't leave in porch, returned to warehouse, refunded cost of item minus the delivery. Cost me £4.95 for nothing.

Don't buy anything from this company! I bought Makita coffee maker for my husband from them, and it came faulty! I contactedseller next day for return, BUT they refused and said that I should contact Makita and send my coffee maker to them for repair!!! They even didn't want to listen about 14 days buyers protection scheme! I am very disappointed!

Terrible experience. The website advertised both 240V and 110V being available, but with no option to select. Being in the UK I assumed I would receive a 240V, but was sent a 110V. I had to return it at my own cost, which was extortionate. PowerToolWorld didn't accept any responsibility, apology or offer anything towards the return fee or an exchange process. Zero customer service. I took the purchase refund and went shopping elsewhere

Hi , thank you for the feedback. Most of our professional power tools are available in both 110v & 240v with the required voltage selected via a drop down menu displayed on the item page . It would appear that you selected the 110v version as the 240v was not available at the time so unfortunately we were unable to provide an exchange machine when this came to light. We could have been more empathetic regarding your return & will look to improve our provision in this area. Apologies for any inconvenience caused , dave@powertoolworld.co.uk

Hi, I would say the services has not been good. I bought a Makita still saw to compete a project. The equipment turned up but the handle was missing. Been waiting over a week for the missing parts. As a result I have had to pay a builder to compete the works for me at a cost of £70. Not a good experience, i appreciate the fault may be with the equipment manufacturer but I would have expected Power Tool world to open up another box and post the missing parts but that’s not been the case. Not how I operate when it comes to customer service.

I bought a Makita E05418 tool box which was delivered promptly. 9 days later the clasp broke so I emailed Power Tool World and asked for a replacement. The customer services didn’t want to know and directed me to Makita’s customer care. I emailed again and was hastily fobbed off for a second time. As of now I have a useless new tool box and no reply from Makita as to when it will be changed. I will soon be demanding my money back and going elsewhere if this isn’t sorted out within the next 48 hours.

Brought dewalt 2nd fix nail gun for £395 dpd said they delivered my parcel but never received it powertool opened a case against them told they delivered it closed case now £ 395 out of pocket no nail gun no help from powertool world

Still waiting for a replacement for item that has been collected by Power Tool World’s carrier 11 days ago. Last week I have been told that I’ll need to wait for max 14 days for processing. Today I sent an email to chance for an update, and discovered that the item hasn’t been back to Power Tool World at all and it is now missing! Don’t really know how to write a review, but I can say that customer support guys response quickly overall, that’s good. However, the information may not be accurate at all. I wish I would able to get my replacement or money back (great to have both due to a long waiting)

Disappointed I bought this drill to replace existing same model which ha a faulty Chuck!! New Drill arrived faulty Chuck contacted power tool world passed responsibility gave me a link to find someone to fix it! Still problem ongoing still without a drill!! 😡

Never received my item, apparently it has been lost by parcel company. More likely to me was, that they sold me something they didn’t have in stock. Got my money back, but I lost a job. Bad experience with them
