The actual installation on the day was fine and the installer was good and helpful etc. However my overall experience was poor. My installation is probably not standard, but the process was protracted, took a lot of my time up, was provided with incomplete information and overall was tortuous. Had I known at the start I would not have bothered to proceed.

Almost impossible to get a reponse from Podpoint - none of the many telephone extentions seemed ever to be manned. Very frustrating!

Absolutely awful.... The project manager on our Acc, nice guy but needs to possibly go back to Uni to see if there is any degree course in common sense. End up costing us additional £200 due to his lack of common sense. Find a different company to use.

The process to installation was appalling. If I haven’t taken delivery of the car I would have cancelled. Emails that were set ti me were unnecessarily rude. The gentleman on the phone prior to installation was polite as was the gentleman that installed the unit was very polite too.

Installation was cancelled twice with no forewarning, adequate explanation or compensation. Wasted two days of not being able to work Eventually happened on the third try

My app won't link to the charger and still no contact from Pod point 5 days later. My wife waited in all day on day of install to be told at 4pm that they have ran out of time today.a

Firstly my Pod point was installed in November 2020 and we were extremely happy, but 3 weeks later it stopped charging. After numerous emails and calls to customer service this issue still hasn't been resolved,, the customer service team at Pod Point say that they will pass the message on but still awaiting. This is an expensive charger and do not expect something like this to only be working for 3 weeks. Hopefully Pod Point will be in contact!!!

Our engineer installed the charger and when it came for him to leave, it wasn't working.... He claimed it had a "little bit of water in it" and it will be fine in a couple of hours.... He stated he didn't have time to wait and he had other jobs to do so he left. Low and behold, the charger was completely faulty and started making clicking noises 10 minutes after he left. After calls to head office and the service manager, the engineer eventually returned to fix the charger, where he sulked and acted as if he was doing me a favour. The whole installation from start to finish was 11 hours....Genuinely the worst experience I've had from a tradesman.

Once you made the payment they will tell it should take 2-3 weeks but what they actually mean is 2-3 months to even a get a response. Literally they're the most incompetent people, I have submitted my forms over 15 times and everytime I was told that everything is fine with the form and we will send you a date of installation within 10 working days and when I called them back in a week time, I was told that I have to re-submit my form due to few error! I would highly recommend you to avoid this company and try somewhere else. Kam

Charger itself seems to do a good job, however cannot say the same for our dealings with Pod Point staff; in particular relating to the installation process. Advised the prep work the electrician did when we built the house was unsuitable - turns out that piece of Pod Point advice was totally incorrect. Asked to pay extra for cable that turned out we didn't require. Catalogue of poor communication, requirement to chase up, frustration at being told someone would get back to you, but then didn't. Issue with being given one date for installation that wasn't really suitable, then effectively being told if you don't take that date it could be weeks before your charger is fitted (meeting the needs of the installer, not the customer). Final frustration was having to wait over 3 weeks to receive the Electrical Installation Certificate.... a delay that impacted on our ability to get £300 grant money back. All in all, pretty woeful.

I'm afraid I found the booking process very complicated and unclear (helped by having a phone conversation, in the end). I did get worried when, with a day's notice, the installation was cancelled (very pleased when I pointed out that we were in Tier 2 (not Tier 4) that it was re-instated). The Pod Point installer sadly didn't make a neat job of the trunking (photos attached) and left bits of chopped up wiring scattered around the fuse box (a minor thing but a quick brush to clean up the mess is a mark of a professional) - I'm considering re-doing the trunking myself. The poor man also installed the wrong pod-point (which thankfully he noticed just as he was about to leave -so had to dismantle the pod point and replace it with the one with a 7.5 m cord).

It has been a disappointing experience and I would look for other brands. It took over a month to get all the forms done and then further couple of weeks for an install date. I sent through all the information requested and images etc pre the install and it was being installed less than 1m from the mains and consumer unit so anticipated a simple install. It was installed but then advised we could not use it as we were on a looped electric main and not direct off the main electric on our street (not an easy or quick issue to resolve) and as the earth for our gas was not visible and under the new wooden floor upstairs they could not make it live without proving it. They also could not connect it to the router to put it online as we needed a 2.4Ghz option. Had these questions been asked up front then we could have resolved them in advance or not ordered. Engineer then leaves us with a nice Pod point charger we cannot use. In the coming three weeks we are told they have permission for it to run off looped main so one problem down. I paid £75 for our electrician to come out and write a report and prove the gas is earthed to save taking up a new wooden floor to find it. Problem two down. two weeks later new router arrives and I connect it to the Wifi problem three solved. So after 9 weeks of having the car and similar number of weeks since starting the purchase with Pod point, charging the car looks promising. Sadly not we then find problem 4 in that the charger is not giving enough power to charge it even though its wired to the incoming mains. 3 calls and 2 emails later and no one has come back to us to resolve it so I have cancelled the order before my 30 days from install is up to ensure I am entitled to a refund, and now await it being removed and a refund as of yesterday so I can buy from another brand and hopefully find a company with better service and products. One other small thing is that the installer left a mess from the install no clean up at all brick dust everywhere.

Absolutely ZERO customer service. Took my payment in March then was informed that they could not install due to a 'looped supply'. Now I have emailed and called many times and i have yet to get a response other than the automated email reply. AVOID..AVOID...AVOID

I understand that Covid is affecting many businesses, but it looks like it got to the point that it has become an excuse for some. We are expecting the new electric car to be delivered to us in a week time, and haven't heard anything from Pod Point after sending documents they've requested. This morning I've decided to call them and find out when will they be installing the pod at our property only to find out that the document I've forwarded from the leasing company is missing full date. No one informed me about it, but apparently they had a note on their system so I'm really frustrated knowing that we might have a car, which we cannot use because we have no means of charging it. The whole week has passed and I'm no wise as to when my installation will take place. Their customer service is non existent - I've been promised phone calls - they never reply. I tried social media - no answer either. Emailed several times without any reply at all. Tried to call today twice - their answer machine hangs up on me so cannot even talk to anyone. They took the money and I don't even have means of contacting them.

I have given one star because thats as low as this site will go. Pod-Point do not even deserve that. From the time I placed the order and paid for my charger I had nothing but radio silence despite chasing them. Two months later the charger was fitted. A month after installation, it has worked twice and now despite days of repeated calls to the so called support team nothing has been resolved, no surprise there. There are far more reliable providers out there so avoid at all costs and do not be guided by the dealerships.
