on arrival the electrician said the wiring going from the garage to the attic wasn't, so he couldn't run a wire that rout, they were and you could. I managed to do just that.Every suggestion I made he said no to. He then said the gas and water supply needed bonding he then left leaving no instructions as to the size of the bonding wire. I then got an email with an estimate of £229 which included extra cable,in fact it was only 5 meters. He came again and still did nothing. The engineer who came on the 3rd visit was excellent and could not be faulted

The fitter Ian was fantastic, really nice guy, super friendly and helpful however he was given a charger with the wrong plug so I know have a charger fitted that I can't use and at the moment I am being told I have to wait until next week. Very disappointing as I paid a premium price but still can't charge my car.

I've had 2 visits from installation engineers. The 1st engineer said that the distribution board in the garage was not up to spec. I asked for detailed requirements. The 2nd Installer arrived at 12:10, after waiting at home from 8:00. The installation went ahead only to find an earth problem at the end. and so the job has been disabled. Surely there are some prerequisites that should be checked prior to an installation. Ive lost nearly 2 days work so far. Might have been cheaper to buy the unit outright and pay for my own electrician. - Not Happy

The person came with the wrong attitude and without all the tools and equipment and unprepared. He did not have the sheets to put on the floor contain the mess from the drilling, he charged his drill at my home, he wanted to choose and enforce the path of the cable that was easiest for him with no regard for the customers wishes or desires or aesthetic appearance following the installation. He drilled unnecessary holes in my property and when challenged, instead of admitting to his mistakes he tried to play mind games by stating the opposite and told me he will be leaving if he is challenged. (I continued to challenge him and told him that he had the wrong attitude). He did not follow the plan agreed by myself and pod point customer interaction team. He said it was not possible, and said that theory was different to practice (paraphrased) - I was told by pod point "I feel the best way to run the cable is out of the stairs and then along the ceiling until we reach the exterior" - the installer said that holes cannot be drilled in the staircase or near it. He installed the wire like an unprofessional using an off-white colour in the plastic trunking at the joints and said this is what was available at the wholesalers, after he returned from his second visit leaving my property in his vehicle. He also left for half an hour to make a phone call for half an hour before this. He left my property after 6 hours, he wasted a lot of time. He initiated a negative discussion with me about who was funding the pod point installation and said it was a government grant and his taxes were paying for this, I responded that everyone’s taxes were paying for “this”. He did clean the mess near the meter, He did offer to hoover inside, and I had to let him borrow my hoover during the early part of the install, at the end of the install I said I will hoover up the new mess, inside. Outside my property he did not ask me for a brush and left the mess outside. He said his equipment was stolen two weeks ago. I now have more trunking visible, on an entire side, vertically, in my living room than what was possible i.e. to drill earlier and put it in the hallway. He told me I was the worst customer ever. He has done a bodged-up job with the trunking around the corners instead of proceeding around a corner at the same height and making a 90degree turn, he has gone around the corner, up, then proceeded straight, he has put unnecessary angles and turns in. I categorically told him that I will remove the hook rail (for jackets) in the hallway which only has two screws, yet he has cut the trunking around this and left some of the wire exposed which is shocking. I want another installer to come out and fix this.

Dear Mohammed, Clearly this falls well below our standards in execution and service. The team will be in touch to set about putting this right. We apologise unreservedly.

Power point trips fuse at every plug in. Contacted barid electrical and no reply.

The engineer that actually installed the point was fantastic. Professional, on time, hard working and did a great job. The admin staff in organising the installation were a shambles: multiple miscommunications, did not have a grip on what was going on, poorly trained, amateurish, clueless.

We do apologise for the difficulties experienced, but are pleased Darren performed admirably on his return. The team here worked very hard to process a challenging install with changes to availability made at short notice, managing to find ad hoc availability from installers. At the point this was meant to be completed the key installer called in ill. We managed to bring another to site after a cancellation, but they were not equipped to complete the job. Eventually he returned on another day to complete it. I am very sorry, but not surprised, that this all appeared as incoherent management, but it was simply concerted efforts from the team to go above and beyond and manage on the fly, instead of flowing through the standard channels which would have taken a very good deal longer.

have also send you the below via email. Hello Just had my installation aborted. Understand you have an issue about cable running along a path way in a public street with human traffic. I live in a private estate with a private road to which only eight houses are located here. Only people who walk on this area of the path are one set of neighbours and the postman. Other issue I have is that the cable was not long enough to reach the car. Questions by you staff only asked if car was parked with 15 metres of electricity supply. It did not mention anything about the cable only being 4.5 metres long. Had to book holiday from work today - not happy!!!

Dear Scott. I apologise for the difficulties experienced. Unfortunately we are bound both by the terms of the govt grant and also our legal obligation not to install a charge point that will foul a footpath. I believe the team are looking at quoting an alternative approach for you.

Very low cost product/materials charged to the Government/client at very high price. I would have rather received the grants from both Nissan and Government and commissioned a certified electrician locally.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Boris. We work hard to provide an excellent offering with market leading safety and reliability, as well as a very high level of customer service, all at competitive prices. However, we've clearly not given you that impression, so your feedback is valuable to us.

Hi, 3 months after purchasing a Nissan Leaf EV I still have no pod point fitted. I am over £90 out of pocket as I upgraded to the 32A option. Poor service, no help and no back up. Regards.

Charger installed at our driver's address no problem. Assured that all data usage will be visible by a simple login. I have had to pester for the data every month and all data is incorrect. I have been provided with excuse after excuse but as yet there has been absolutely no urgency or desire to resolve my issue whatsoever despite the costs we have paid to install this unit and the assurances we were provided with prior to arranging the installation

My pod point unit and the holder for the charger have come away from the wall - the wrong raw plugs were used. I feel it was put up with out care

Poxy charger spent as much time out of order as it spent working to the point we returned the car to Nissan as "unfit for purpose" purely due to the poor service from Podpoint and the crappie charger. Go on display this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. No thought not lol.

I AM LEAVING A BAD REVIEW BECAUSE OF A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE REGARDING THE TYPES OF CHARGING CABLES THAT CUSTOMERS NEED AND LACK OF ADVICE GIVEN BY POD POINT. WE HAD A POD POINT INSTALLED AND THE LINK WAS PROVIDED VIA TESLA MOTORS. SO YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE CONNECTOR POD POINT INSTALLED WOULD BE SUITABLE FOR A TESLA CAR? WRONG! EVEN AT THE INSTALL I ASKED THE ENGINEER ABOUT THE TESLA AND HE INFORMED ME THAT THE CONNECTOR WAS UNIVERSAL AND WOULD BE SUITABLE FOR A TESLA. WRONG! I ASKED ABOUT THE CABLE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE CAR WOULD COME WITH A CABLE (IT DID BUT IT DID NOT FIT THE POD POINT). I PHONED TESLA AND WAS TOLD THAT THE CABLES SUPPLIED ARE STANDARD AND THEY COULD NOT HELP. THEY TOLD US TO CONTACT POD POINT. WE CONTACTED THEM AND THEY SAID WE HAD THE OPTION TO CHOOSE A TETHERED CONNECTION OR A NON TETHERED CONNECTION. WE DID INDEED CHOOSE THE NON TETHERED CONNECTION. BUT WOULD YOU THINK THAT THE CONNECTORS WOULD BE DIFFERENT? WE WERE TOLD YOU CHOSE THE NON TETHERED CONNECTION AND THEY COULD SUPPLY THE CABLE TO ATTACH THE POD POINT (WHICH THEY INSTALLED FOR £485 (PLUS GOVERNMENT GRANT) ) TO OUR TESLA FOR ANOTHER £150. WE OBVIOUSLY HAD THE POD POINT INSTALLED BEFORE THE CAR ARRIVED AND WERE A BIT CONFUSED THAT THE CABLE SUPPLIED WITH THE CAR HAD A DIFFERENT CONNECTOR TO THE POD POINT. THE BASIC CHECKS YOU WOULD EXPECT A COMPANY TO PERFORM WERE NOT CARRIED OUT. WHAT IS THE POINT OF INSTALLING A CHARGING UNIT THAT A CUSTOMER CANNOT USE WHEN THEY NEED TO CHARGE THEIR VEHICLE. I AM VERY ANNOYED! I AM CURRENTLY CHARGING MY TESLA USING A TESLA SUPERCHARGER WHICH IS SEVERAL MILES FROM MY HOME UNTIL I SORT OUT A NEW CABLE.
