For the second time in succession despite booking online i was requested to pay£140 at the exit. This was resolved via the intercom but there is clearly a disconnect between the online system and the car park itself.

A cheap and cheerful place to park your car if you are leaving from Edinburgh airport either on a short break or a long haul. It is not as good as some of the others but it's not the worst and it was the cheapest when we were going away on this occasion. Always book before the day of your arrival as the costs can be astronomical. There is no security/reception box. I presume it must be mobile patrols they use, I say that because when we were there we did not see any security or the usual security box/reception, just a barrier and about a 5 foot fence round the perimeter. There are no staff on site, If you have an issue as we did (auto recognition system did not recognise my car so gave us a bill of huge proportions) you need to press the buzzer at the barrier and someone will answer it in order to resolve you issue. The vast majority of the car park floor is like little balls instead of the usual tarmac or gravel, and this is also a little annoying as I am still removing them out of the floor well of our car. A bus runs every 10 minutes or so that takes you to about a 5 minute walk to the check in area. The drivers were very professional, friendly and helpful. So no staff except bus drivers, doesn't feel the most secure, in fact it feels quite insecure. Would I use Plane Parking again? Probably but it does depend on how much cheaper it is than any of their rivals at Edinburgh Airport. If it's a big saving I would take the extra risk but if it is only a £5 or so I would go with one of the others I have used in the past.

Normally excellent but not a good experience on Sunday night. Bus eventually arrived at the pick up stance then proceeded to drive round the terminal and pick up the Long Stay guests. The bus was overcrowded while it made its way to the Long stay car park first then eventually to Plane Parking last.

Due to road closure I was send to terminal carpark. It was really difficult to contact plane parking. I had to use airport carpark website. Overall terminal carpark was really good. Communication with them was good as well.

Buses stop far to away from terminal. Both going and coming back.

Good value parking. However a very long wait for bus pick up ( almost 30 mins) on the return flight

On return to Edinburgh Airport yesterday we were told the bus was not available to shuttle us back to the car park, there did not appear to be a substitute bus available from plane parking. We then had to join a lengthy queue of people to get on a bus via long stay car park. Certainly did not live up to expectation of frequent transport to and from airport, When you just want to get home quickly after your flight, this was not satisfactory!! Would think twice before booking again.

The parking is fine, the bus is reasonably frequent, but it does drop off at the furthest possible stand from the terminal building. A long walk with your luggage.

The Plane Parking car park at Edinburgh airport needs a few more bust stops.

Overall the experience was okay. Parking is quite a distance from the airport. It used to be much nearer. There are only two pick up points in the car park. On returning to Edinburgh we also had to pick up passengers for the long stay car park and drop them off first

Was OK until I tried to leave the car park. My flight had been delayed by 2 hours and when I put my ticket in machine it told me I needed to pay £176.00. I had prepaid for 1 weeks parking and had to contact an attendant through the intercom, which was very difficult to identify. Eventually the attendant agreed I should have been allowed to leave without question and the barrier was lifted. Could have done without the hassle.

There is a lack of signage from the A8 at the Edinburgh Airport exit slip and roundabouts to advise the customer where to go. I travelled down to the last roundabout before the airport entrance and it was only after getting to the 3rd exit that I noticed the signs for Plane Parking. Signeage needs sorted out!! The bus service to and from the car park was good and the drivers were helpful when customers asked them questions about returning etc. The service was good as buses were every 7 or 8 minutes. Value for money is reasonable considering that you do get a free bus service to the terminal and would use Plane Parking again knowing what I know now and would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Process was ok, except when leaving the parking- there’s no guidance regarding ticket clearance/ exiting procedure! Despite having paid online to make the booking, I was still presented with a £140.00 fee to pay, both at the machine and the barrier! Only got resolved once I got through to the helpful attendant (at 11.30pm) who was able to remotely acknowledge the pre-payment and let me leave!! I bet a good few people fall for the error and pay the hefty charges! Why have ANPR cameras at the barrier when the ticket issued thereafter doesn’t tie in with prebookings?!!

Good value for money. But too few bus stops/shelters for cold wet days. Our prepaid ticket not recognised at exit barrier. Needed help to exit.

Cheap, but a long way from the airport. An annoyance is that there are only two bus stops do it can be a bit of a walk from car to bus.

Everything was so smooth until we returned from our flight home. Our ticket into machine at barrier and it was trying to say we owe £176!!! I had prepaid parking. It was rectified but did give us a fright and we had to obtain help. There were 2 other customers with the same problem.

parking our car was easy - directions to parking area where clear it was dark when we arrived and had a short time to catch our plane so parked at nearest parking to exit. There where pick up points (2) both at the other end of the parking area- we waited near our car as had a large case. Driver reluctantly picked us up from this area saying we should have parked nearer to the pick up areas(limited parking around them). On our return the driver refused to drop us at near our car again stating we should have parked nearer to the pick up points. The other passengers who had children also had to walk a fair distance to their cars. I understand that the driver has to adhere to company policy but perhaps there needs more pick up points put in. How would a person with a disability be treated (keep in mind that some disabilities are hidden).

I’ve used PP a few times now, because they’re cheap. That’s about it. Their ANPR is a bit rubbish, and I’ve been delayed getting out both the last times I used PP. Last time took about 10mins to get through to a grumpy staff member who managed to let me out.

Arriving as per the "Plan Parking" directions at Edinburgh airport to discover a sign saying it had moved and to follow signs. Just takes you further along the same road - quite a way really. So that was a little disappointing as it was described as being very close. Seems it is also for airport staff parking. Took card at barrier (I had prepaid/booked online) and the first thing you notice is that it is tarmac, and the spaces are pretty wide - both very positive points for airport parking. I was pretty certain that it has said online that the parking was very close and just a walk to terminal, so I was unsure what to do once parked. It was dark, but I could see a bus coming down towards the exit. Driver allowed me on, but said that there is a proper place to jump on/let off. 24 hours later I went to the exit and was quite amazed to find the machine telling me I was due £75.00,,!! Pushed the help button and the person I spoke to raised the barrier and all was fine. So probably some pluses and minuses. For the cost is was probably on the expensive side compared to other park and ride options - some of which are closer.

Very cheap price in advance for 7 to 8 days parking . New parking area is further away from airport building (only issue need to use bus instead) . Preferred old parking area with solid surface in parking spaces .
