“Everything was fine except bus driver would only let us off at designated stops - it's not as if there was a lot of traffic that would bhe inconvenienced. Also, at the ticket barrier I was told there was a charge of £288 to get out; despite me having pre-paid. Your agent sorted it but it was a bit of a heart-stopper after an overninight flight.”
Thank you for your review. Due to health and safety regulations the shuttle bus drivers are only permitted to pick up and drop off passengers at the designated bus stops within the car parks. It sounds as though our automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system hasn't registered you upon entry. When this occurs, it means our system doesn't match you to your booking and you are then charged the roll-up rate in error upon exit. I'm glad you managed to get it sorted at the time.

The plus side first
I use the mid-term and long-stay carpark on a regular basis, up to five times a year.
I find the booking system straightforward and easy to use
The location of the parking is excellent and costs are competitive and OK for what I need. In fact they are much better than many other airports.
When I have had a problem i.e. overstaying due flight delays, obliterated (but unknown to me) number plate due to snow on arrival( automatic camera failed) the assistance has been excellent.
The negative side.
I have regularly, and the last two occasions in a row, on activating my ticket, being asked to pay around 485 pounds despite booking and paying on-line and in advance. This has involved having to wait at the gate whilst I go through the rigmarole of car registration or proof of payment reference. This has not only delayed me but caused the cars in the queue to wait. It would seem that there is a glitch in the system.

“Plane Parking is very convenient and the buses run regularly to pick up/drop off at Edinburgh Airport. My only issue is that the last couple of times we have used Plane Parking, the buses have had literally nowhere to stow luggage. Two very small sections that would hold about 4 cabin sized bags. The only area for larger cases is in the Disabled Seating area and, even then, that can only hold 3 cases in total and you need to stand in front of them to stop them moving around when the bus is in motion. This area is also unusable if there is a disabled passenger on board.”

“All good, very very busy car park so finding a space can be tricky. Good courtesy bus service but need more racks to carry suitcases. Definitely lacking there. Prices were OK. Would use again.”

“Instruction received to park were inaccurate. There were multiple barriers all labelled and none matched the instruction I received. This resulted in me having to go through a barrier as another vehicle was behind me, and cost me £6 to get back out and a further £5 to get out of airport as it was the only road available. I represented to one of the barriers and pressed call button as barrier did not automatically raise. I was let into the car park. I parked. On my return at 11pm, the barrier machine wanted £145.00, so I called for help and was eventually let out of car park.
Not the stress free experience I was anticipating”
“Great car park but after three heart operations I booked to return a day early and had to pay 45.00 pound more for one night .An insight on my mistake as I put a day early so it was nearly double I paid for the week
I did this once at NCP car park and they gave me a refund for the xtra day .as I had already paid 56.00 pound for the sat to sat with you I feel an extra 45.00 is a bit steep
But may mistake and I have to soak that fee up unless you can help out
