Lack of communication on delivery delay due to IT outage - had paid for next day delivery too. Had to force an update out of the company - not the best customer service. Product itself great as always.

Beautifully packaged cheeses and chutneys with cool blocks inside. Slightly disappointed in the cling wrap of the stilton cheese, looked as if it had been wrapped in cling film in a hurry - would have like vacuum sealed or wax paper with it's origin (no date or where from) but other than that, a lovely gift.

The goat curry was lovely, unfortunatly the package had defrosted when it had arrived,so ordering a few at a time may not be possible

I bought the chicken deboned and stuffed with sage & onion, the chicken was delicious but the stuffing was not seasoned at all thas why i only gave it 4 stars. Next time i will mix some softened butter with garlic and salt and put this under the skin. Also i will add a chopped lemon and some rosemary around the chicken inside the tin foil. This will make it delicious. The cooking instructions Pipers Farm gave were perfect but do take it out of fridge 1 hr before cooking.

Very nice meat - I made a lovely shoulder of mutton curry. The website stated many items were out of stock, there were no estimated dates for being back in stock. Also, the website could be clearer on the fact that the meat will arrive frozen. I didn't realise this and only found the info when I searched for it.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by items being out of stock without estimated restock dates, there is the option to be notified via email when these items do come back in as we do work with small, local farms so various cuts are coming in at different times. I apologise if you did not find it clear that your items would arrive frozen, we do state this on each product under the 'How to Store' section but we do understand that this can easily be missed at times. I love their food to bits and get a monthly/bimonthly shipment. Every product I receive has been 5/5 and the packaging is top tier for freezing and thawing. I do find that quite often they are out of stock of products; chicken hearts, some flavoured sausages, pork skins in particular. Also since the change to Piper Perks I don’t seem to have received any of the perks.

Chicken was very flavourful, only problem was when it arrived and I looked at the size I knew it wouldn't be enough to feed 4 adults and an 8 year old child so had to pop to local butcher to get another. I purchased the recommended size for 5-6 people so a little disappointed.

I am unable to comment on the taste of the produce as it went into the freezer on arrival. Unfortunately, due to the courier my requested delivery date could not be achieved as DPD have a two day delivery policy to my area of Scotland as was pointed out by Liz(?) when I called to see where my order was. Consequently, though the order was well insulated and packed, the items were about a third defrosted. Not being one who bothers too much about sell by dates, they went into the freezer anyway. I fully applaud your ethos and approach to farming and wish you well but because of the two day delivery issue I'm afraid I won't be ordering anymore produce but looking forward to cooking what I have. Maybe bit soon for review - not had time to eat everything ordered yet! However can say that the lamb shoulder was delicious. As far as delivery concerned - this was disappointing as parcel of frozen meats was left by the gate at the bottom of our long drive on a sunny day and meat had started to thaw by the time we found it. No idea why the driver did not bring it to the door or let us know it had been delivered.

Have use Pipers farmer for awhile however my latest order of sausages arrived with them being very nearly fully defrosted on delivery. I did email Pipers farm for advices to whether they could be refrozen but I have not had a reply.

The handmade pork pie was the best we have eaten for a long time. Crisp pastry and proper jelly. I would rather have less emails from Pipers Farm. A certain amount of information is of interest but too many becomes an irritation and is likely to make me unsubscribe. Anon
