“Bought on advice of builder to try to prevent water ingress through brickwork. Have raked and repointed before use. Seems to do the job. Easy to apply with a brush needs 2 of three coats on new pointing. Awaiting serious rain to see if it’s worked.”

“5 litres covered two coats and a little bit over for my cellar floor which is 16’x14. I know it’s not the bridal product to repel moisture but I wanted to try it. I’ll know how effective it’s been after the winter months but it’s covered really well and I feel confident that it’ll do the job. One slight criticism: as others have mentioned, it was very difficult to get the lid off.”

From what you’ve described, the most likely cause is the rubber sealing ring at the base of the plunger not being tightened with a spanner, which can prevent a proper seal and affect flow.
