“So far so good. Used the fillet seal beforehand on the stone joints and for a bit of levelling up. Tanking straight forward to mix and apply, drying to a hard finish. Ready for renovating plaster …..”

“I am now on my second delivery of Permaguard. It’s brilliant stuff ! I live on the end of a terrace and the end of my house is subject to all the weather. The walls would go black in the winter and wall paper even came off the wall once. I have a dehumidifier going but still the wall would go black. Using the permaguard system of washing the wall down with the bottle of solution in the kit and then adding the small bottle of solution to my paint has solved the mould issue. I haven’t had any issues with any black or condensation on the wall since I redecorated this time last year, so have been through a winter. I am now decorating another room and am using this kit as it’s not let me down yet !”

“We have made 4 orders for various products from Permagard over the last few months. Every product has been great quality and delivered quickly with regular updates on couriers. I have also contacted customer services twice. Once for advice on the order in which to use products and another time when we needed to add to an order. On both occasions the company were excellent. They gave me the advice I needed and sorted the order out for me quickly and efficiently. I don’t often write reviews but Permagard definitely deserves the best feedback. I would recommend them to anyone.”

“Really struggled to open the cannister!! Application went OK but won't know if it has worked and stopped the 'bubbling" of the plaster for at least a year.”

Hi Penny, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We’re sorry to hear you had trouble opening the canister. The lid is secured tightly to reduce the risk of leaks or spills in transit. You can ease it open with a flat-head screwdriver if needed. We’re pleased to hear the application itself went OK, and you’re absolutely right that the real test is how the surface performs over time. As with any damp-related issue, the final result can depend on the underlying cause of the damp, the condition of the surface, and how the product has been applied. “It never arrived, DPD MESSED UP DELIVERY 3 TIMES. I got a refund promptly then bought the same stuff £245 instead of £375 🤷‍♂️”

Hi Kenneth, We’re very sorry for the frustration caused by the DPD delivery issues with your order. Just to clarify, both orders were refunded in full, so no payment has been retained by us. The price difference mentioned is because the two orders were for different products. Our membrane kits are shipped in two parts: a box containing the fixings and accessories, and the membrane roll separately. In this case, the fixings box was delivered successfully and kept, while the membrane roll delivery was unfortunately affected by DPD’s service issues. Our customer support team worked hard to resolve this at the time and liaised with both you and DPD to try to get the roll delivered. We’re sorry that, despite those efforts, the courier issue still wasn’t resolved successfully. We’ll be feeding this incident back to DPD. Given that both orders were fully refunded, and that part of the kit was successfully delivered and retained, we’d be grateful if you would consider updating your review to reflect the full outcome. “Hi, The product in principle is excellent, however, I am unable to comment on how effective it is till it has been tested over time. I would offer the following. Your product direct from Permagard is cheaper than other (online) options. The plasterer told me to get 10sqm online which was (£140) I corrected him and sent him the link to your site. Do check in down the line and I will rate your product.”
