“Purchased a plan which was rejected by my planning authority as the scale did not match and the image supplied was poor. Waste of money & would not use or recommend - had to purchase another from another company which end up cheaper and far better & clearer. Disappointing.”

“My plan is not valid for planning as the road name is missing. There is no email address in order to ask for a refund When I phoned the office number no one was available to make the amendment or process a refund.”

Dear customer, we're sorry to hear you're not happy with your plan. We do offer chat, phone and email support through our website. Regarding the plan the website can only provide what's on the preview. In some areas it may not be possible to fit on two street names due to the way the Ordnance Survey mapping has been created. This is particularly common in rural areas. Our plans (PDF version only) also show an OS grid reference (an easting and northing) which will help locate the planning office into the exact location thereby negating the need for street names. “I am extremely disappointed with your service I order and paid for a red line outlining my plot conveyance the plan arrived without the red line and with no compass point on the plan, a complete waste of money. I had to pay a architect to do a proper plan at additional expense.. get your act together!”

“I bought a plan of my property, which is not large. Unfortunately the plan I received did not cover the whole property & the company refused to send a complete one. This was for my first planning application, so I am not experienced in planning matters. I am not expecting to plan anything else, but if I were I most certainly would not use Buy A Plan again”

We understand that receiving a plan that didn't cover your entire property can be frustrating, however as explained the website is automatic and can only produce what you've added to your basket and previewed. Each plan has different royalties and we cannot send a larger plan from the one that you ordered. We recommend contacting your planning office to explain this as the alternative is to manually add a street name on after printing it out.

“Buy A Plan You recently charged me £9.59 for a site plan exactly the same as I had already obtained FREE from eMapsite MapShop. On your web page I asked for, and expected, my property to be outlined in red, the same as the Land Registry's product, but it just arrived 'naked' by email. I am disappointed and will neither use, nor recommend, your website again. Dr Robin Hendy.”

Also you simply need to click on the red boundary tool for this to be added to your map either manually or the automatically. “The Plan scale did Not enclose the total area of the property 1:200 , I assumed it would on payment I obviously needed 1:500. Then it had some sort of message that I only had seconds to download the plan just bought I immediately clicked cos like most companies now they try to screw you and thought I would have to immediately download. Very disappointed did not even let me put in the boundary but I thought that this option is available after you pay. Sorry do not buy from this site, wasted my roubles. Just before I submit this review noticed that you must include your email why? the only way you can submit a review is by them knowing your email address. Oh! well another disappointment roll on death.”

Dear customer, thank you for taking the time to provide a review. There is no time limit on our website so please so we are not sure why you felt that the service is rushed. You can download your plan using the link provided after payment but if you lost that, a link is provided by email as well and you have many weeks to download your plan. If this is lost as well, you can always reach out to us and we'll be happy to resend the plan to you. There are clear instructions and a help video on the website to help you with your purchase as well as phone, chat and email assistance. We'll be happy to help you in the future if you need a plan again.

“Absolutely dreadful service - what a rip-off. I had to pay £20 for a thumbnail map of my own garden to send to a planner (who let's face it - already has a copy of the map) just so that they would have a pre-application meeting - and the boundaries on the map are wrong! Complete farce. But now the planner has their inaccurate map they have agreed to have a meeting with us. Enjoy spending my £20.”

“Not impressed. I clicked on to red lines which when I paid for and downloaded the plan, no red lines were there. I contacted you twice, maybe three times for assistance. I'm still waiting. Won't be using your organisation again or recommending you!”

Dear customer, we have responded to both of your messages (emails) on the same day. The first one was on the 9th of June and the second one on the 14th of June. “The website is quick and easy to use, the downloaded plan is of no use whatsoever; just appears as a square despite clicking A4 size, no scale bar so can't check it's printed to scale, so £13+ wasted. Had to click 1 star as couldn't give anything less!!”

Hi Andy, we are sorry to hear your experience was not what you expected. Please note that all of our plans have a scale bar at the bottom left of the map. The plan should cover an entire sheet of A4 if printed at 100% size. The map portion however is only a portion of this otherwise the scale would not be correct. “The pdf was lacking in detail, the outlines in 90% were faint, there was no way I could trace over the outlines, this file was imported on to my drawing, to be fair you did replace it with a different file which worked, unfortunately I can only give one star”

“They only outline the property, planning asked to outline the boundaries but this wasn’t possible apparently so I had to do it manually … I could of printed this and marked it for free online”

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. You can outline the area that you want using the manual tool provided. You will not find OS Mastermap for free anywhere as it is copyright protected. We do not charge for the lines to be created, the charge is for the actual map.
