“The council wouldn't accept the plan as the red line was not bold enough and couldn't clearly see the pavement.”

“I am a newbie to buying a plan for some work for which we need planning permission, and using Buy a Plan couldn't have been easier. The instructions on how to use the site and get the plan appropriate for my application were clear and simple with help available throughout, if needed. The entire process from initial log on to receiving the plan was quick, painless and very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate on recommending Buy a Plan for everyone, both novice and professional.”

“The location plan I bought from Buy A Plan was rejected by my local council (Inverclyde) for not being accurate, rather than helping, this is now delaying planning, thanks a bunch Buy A Plan!”

“Plan was not as seen on screen. Had planning department question boundary as the line was thick on the screen view, but on actual plan was thin and missed the edge of boundary. Far too much money for what you receive.”

Thanks for the message. In some areas it may not be possible to fit on two street names due to the way the Ordnance Survey mapping has been created. This is particularly common in rural areas. Our plans (PDF version only) also show an OS grid reference (an easting and northing) which will help locate the planning office into the exact location thereby negating the need for street names. We recommend contacting your planning office to explain this as the alternative is to manually add a street name on after printing it out.

“I bought two plans one was of wrong street and there was nobody I could call about the error. I emailed about this and was told I could only get a partial refund. I opted for the partial refund and then there was no more communication. Very poor customer service.”

Sorry to hear that. The web site will only deliver the area that you would have previewed online prior to ordering. If a customer orders the wrong area, we're happy to give a refund however we do incur substantial costs in this case, hence our policy of a 70% refund. I hope this clarifies for you.

“Impossible to get it accurate, maps not up-to date, when they make an error (Colors not as you put them) they blame you. Con artiste and £££ for 2 pathetic electronic pieces of rubbish - don't bother. And they are not sorry, just ignorant when you email them with the mistake.......”

Sorry to hear your issue. As with all plans from the OS, they are never 100% up to date but for >99% of times they are. The web site will only send you the plan you ordered and any lines you added. You incorrectly added the lines and the site sent you what you ordered. We did offer the refund your mistaken order at the time however.

“I ordered and paid for 3 plans, all in A3 paper size. One has downloaded in A4 size and no matter how simply I explain the problem they seem incapable of understanding. They keep replying that I have ordered the wrong size and I can re-order but they will keep 30% as a royalty fee. Easy site to use but if you get the wrong thing forget about any sensible resolution because the staff seem to be completely incapable of understanding simple English. Would not recommend purely because of inadequate dispute resolution, like most poor companies this is where they fail”

Dear customer Sorry to hear this. We do offer a preview of the plan before ordering. This should allow you to select the correct area. It sounds like there maybe an issue with your printer.
