The size of the 1:1250 scale location plans are too small. Please be generous to make it look like something on the A4 paper. Thanks

Website looks and feels a bit cack, dated. When you purchase the two scales of map together (e.g. 500 and 1250) the innterface doesn't feel quite right. Should use tick boxes instead of radio boxes so you can select the two scales and add to basket in one go, rather than have a mess of buttons and arrows on the basket screen trying to offer that facility. Money for old rope really but it works and is quick and accurate.

I only needed a small 'one off' OS plan to include in a minor planning application. The plan cost £15.90 representing 8.5% of the planning application submission costs!!

Good service, outrageously expensive.

Buying a plan for our location was very simple, but the ability to buy a second plan of the same location (at a different scale) could have been simpler as I had to start again from scratch, instead of just selecting multiple scales. Also, the accuracy of the plan was not brilliant. Not only did it not show my neighbours existing extensions (which I can accept and understand), it also showed my neighbours houses in the wrong place by comparison to my own!! I had to amend the plan to put the actual buildings in the correct places! I would use the service again as I am sure these issues will be common across all services as they are based on the Ordnance Survey maps, and they are the ones that are wrong!

This service is too expensive. These maps and plans should be in the public domain and become available during e.g. a planning application as part of the fee paid to the Local Authority. Its just another case of Government collaborating with business to extort money from the hapless taxpayer!

Thanks for the message. As you can imagine, surveying and maintaining a nationwide mapping dataset of this detail does cost a considerable amount of money and unfortunately it cannot be made available for free.

I tried scaling the plan and found that it was incorrect, the 50 meter line scale measured 56 Meters!

Plan locating good. Scale selection very clear. Purchase process smoth. These features better than some competitors. But vendor logos on final plan too intrusive. Heavy colouring as a default on OS plans is a problem. Will have to think hard before coming back.

Thanks for the feedback. You're not the first person to mention the logo size so we'll review that. In terms of the colouring of the plan, there is a black and white option if you want a plain plan. Hope that helps.

I feel you would get a lot more business if you lowered your prices. It was only out of a speedy result that I used your service. There were other sources / avenues I could've taken . After all their are not even accurate drawings and I feel I have been robbed . Your mission get a fair bit of detail Regards Andrew cozens

Sorry to hear that. The drawings are provided by the Ordnance Survey who supply all of the mapping providers so unfortunately you'll be faced with the same issue, so I suggest contacting them directly to request an updated survey. In terms of 'being robbed' can you elaborate?

Ability to zoom on area you need to draw around is required, local authority nearly rejected my application as red line around property not fully correct.

Dear Customer Thanks for the feedback. There is a manual drawing option bottom right on the viewer for this requirement. Hope that helps.

Easy to do. However just a little disappointed that landscape/portrait view could not be chosen as an option, as then the map I required would have fitted onto A4 at 1:200 instead of 1:500 which I then had to choose, as I do not have facility to print A3

Confusion overy site plan and block plan . Site plans normally 1:200 block 1:500. And then not entirely clear on which plans are being purchased. But I got there.

What is a point when you can send e-mail to customers and your side is no reply...what a useless customer service. The problem is, I have been forced to buy from you, where I can't find others offer the same service. I am sure many of your customers will have the same experience as me. Even my husband who is an architect he used to do before, but different purposes. He is now retired, without his help. I would go no where to get the map. This is how your system for new user like me. To improve your total service delivery.... You should put more words to explain for new user to understand and to follow and you should do research what UK, Scotland needs for each permission ie. Click line for Permission for advertisement sign. You should tell the user that generally...the council will need....then click, click to follow. Your system don’t provide help in the way. Your system is not suitable for new user because lack of clear information to follow. It is suitable for those who use all year round. They know what to click. You should put telephone contact clearly in every page for those who have difficulties after they have paid. This is not good enough, customer paid then faced problems. They spend ages to sort out solution. If you can get money easily from customers, you should think more of customers. Yours sincerely, Ru ................. Plans were clear and downloading easy, but we'd been told we needed a 1:100 SITE PLAN and the nearest available was 1:200. That could easily be remedied, surely.

Dear Customer Thanks for the reply. As you can see from the Planning Portal guidance, the plans can be 1:100, 1:200 or 1:500 (see http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/uploads/1app/maps_plans_and_planning_apps.pdf). We don't offer a 1:100 plan as it would mostly just consist of a few lines and would not show a typical house and garden in its entirety. Hope this helps.

£25 for 2 virtual plans? this doesn't represent good value to me. £8.00 buys a beautiful, high quality physical OS map with a digitised version as well. Your service is incredibly overpriced. I hope that there is some market shake up that brings the prices down to something that is more reasonable. I am so disappointed with what you produced for the money asked. Sorry that I have nothing good to say Darren dot sleeth at virginmedia.co.uk

Dear Dareen, thanks for the feedback however the plans come from the Ordnance Survey and you'll find the pricing is roughly the same from all suppliers. You can get less detailed plans for less cost but they won't be acceptable for planning applications. Hope this helps.

Tha plan is out of date (but I checked with planning and they say it is adequate for their purposes). It does not include some adjacent land we purchased in 2001, which was recorded by the land registry at the time but which is still shown separately. Nor does it reflect major alterations to our house in 2012, all of which passed through normal planning regulations so should also be reflected.

Dear Customer Thanks for the feedback. Our mapping is provided by the Ordnance Survey and in rare cases their mapping does not reflect recent changes. Unfortunately all mapping providers use the same source so I suggest you contact the OS to see if they can add this change in. Hope this helps.

The system seems straightforward until the payment section. I spent several times trying to pay by PayPal but got nowhere other than increasing the number of plans ordered. Thus I had to delete the additional ones and unfortunately I deleted the good one and was left with the wrong one that didn't show the whole site. So have spent too much on a plan I can't use. Regards

1. I would find it useful to be able to leave a specific mark at a specific point e.g. in order to show the position of a tree. 2. When tracing boundaries I would like to be able to trace a boundary rather than have to click at each change of direction. Boundaries can be very irregular and I think that tracing would be more accurate. 3. It would be useful to have a third colour so that I could show a proposed new building.

plan meets planning requirements for size however the required detail cannot be put on, need to be able to create larger screen to allow full details to be put on and then shrunk to fit.

Dear customer Thanks for the feedback. This is the first time we've heard this need but if we get similar other calls then we'll add it in as an option. Hope this helps.
