“I ordered 2 maps but what I got was different to what I ordered and did not match the preview. The scales were totally different to that ordered. The red outline added to the colour PDF was missing and there was a red outline that I didn't add to the black and white PNG file.”

Thanks for the feedback. In terms of the wrong area, you can preview your plan before ordering and the site will send exactly the same area you've previewed. I hope this clarifies for you.

“I was a first time user of the site & must admit not very familiar with terms such as PDF & Dwg. I bought a plan & found that my laptop, iPad & iPhone could not open it. Even the local council office were not able to open the plan attachment. It seems that I bought a plan that could only be open with CAD software. As my application for friend was urgent I had to get a plan from another source. I have been refused a refund because the organisation say that their terms & condition say I am not entitled. I am a pensioner & did ask for help by way of them sending me a plan I could open by email but it was not sent. No compassion terms & conditions over ride any sense of ethics & allowance for the less IT literate. I don't think I want to get any plan from them again.”

Thanks for the feedback however the Buyaplan site does not sell DWG or CAD plans so I think you must be confusing us with another site.

Hi Shaun, Thank you for your review, however there is 100% definitely an option to add a red line. You cannot order without seeing the preview of the map with 2 x buttons on the lower right side, one with a red pen on it and one with a blue pen. You just click once as instructed on one of these and click on the shape on the map you need to outline.

“I bought a plan without a red line around the site and had to buy a second plan to correct this. I assumed a red line would be automatic given this is for planning purposes. It would be useful either to make this automatic or provide a prompt.”

Hi Victoria, thanks for the feedback, however it's not possible for us to automatically outline property in red as every planning application is different and we do not know what you requiring planning for. No other supplier offers this feature either. Hope this helps.

“The apparent new limitation on selecting a centre point for the plan has meant that I was unable to get the coverage I wanted even though it did fit on the size of plan I had chosen. Previously I have been very happy with BuyAPlan because of the speed of the process. Your advice to use eastings and northings did not make any difference as the plan still didn't centre properly.”

“The plan I purchased had no road names identified on the plan, and as a consequence was rejected by the local planning authority. I then had to manually amend your plan accordingly to identify the road names. This cost me a week in delay.”

Thanks for the supply however local authorities do not need 2 x street names on the map as there is a grid reference below the map. In country areas there are often no street names visible.
