“The plant was very nice and healthy but a bit disappointed that the lead shoot had been cut out to make the plant look more busier as I really wanted to grow it on as a small tree in my garden”

“The two trees were left in my front drive on their sides, nobody knocked. The larger tree (15 foot) has litchen of n the bark. I and my gardener with the aid of a wheelbarrow managed to manevoure the tree into a prepared hole in the rear garden. Despite copious watering every evening I'm concerned for the trees health. Unlike the smaller tree which is green the larger one has drooping brown leaves I hope it is temporary as a result of the heat wave.”

“i was advised of the delivery date when I purchased the hydrangea and it was delivered on that date, but it was a very long time between ordering and arriving, so if you order something be prepared to wait about 3 weeks, can't understand why it took so long. The plant was in good condition but it also came with the added bonus of a plant pot full of weeds too. Would have been much nicer without the weeds.”

“Bought a few things from Paramount Plants and their care and attention to packaging and delivery plants safely is good. But the lead time for delivery is slow with poor communication to special requests. But the last Laburnum differed from the image provided (not stock but individualised photo). I got a 2 stem shrub where the image showed a 1 stem tree. Disappointing.”

“Tree isn’t the type of goldcrest I was expecting, it is 2m but has possibly been forced grown with no pruning to shape. Delivery was very tenuous. It was late and tracking was by repeated phone calls to their delivery company. I have previously bought trees from this company which were delivered quickly and the trees were as described. I wouldn’t currently recommend this company.”

“Bought a mature tree to plant in memory. Maybe it was the time of year but it didn't look in the best condition and arrived dry and totally unprotected. A bit disappointed but I'm sure it will look better by next year.”

“Delivery and service is great, however the trees I ordered this time round barely have any foliage and will take a long time to offer any kind of real privacy. Bit disappointing for the money spent. However the pleached cherry laurel I ordered previously does the job.”

“Probably, my fault for planting at wrong time of year as two of the four are fading despite having been kept moist but not wet since planting. They certainly looked excellent on arrival. I will buy more but will try to go pot grown plants next time.”

“The ordering process was straightforward and the range on offer very good. My Acer palmatum Shirazz arrived in a timely manner. Although the tree is healthy I am a little disappointed with the lack of branching and leaves, in fact one of the smaller branches was completely dead. Overall the specimen isn't the best quailty. Overall experience was OK but not great.”

“I pain £95 pallet on top of the price of my tree , on asking if it could be sent any cheaper i got an email back with simply "No?" As a response, on delivery day a waited in all day and it didn't turn up, even after ringing the pallet company that said it was on its way, apparently My first order was sent to a pallet company that broke the top off my tree, unbeatable for a company that specialises in instant hedging and mature trees , communication from Paramount was appealing, I had no idea what was going on, I had to keep chasing it, it took about two months at least before I got the tree, this was a £415 order, when the tree came it was beautiful, but would I go through that stress again, definitely Not”

“Some plants had some non variegated branches which had to be pruned out, reducing their size and density significantly. Also leaf spotting/rusting evident on all plants indicating either fungal infection or kept in stressful conditions. Hopefully will pick back up now planted.”

“Following my adverse review (below) and to their credit, Paramount Plants immediately offered a partial refund and have given a commitment to review their procedures. Packing for all the plants was very poor. Loose packaging in large boxes just doesn't work. Pots were received with only partially filled and compost spread all over the boxes. The Sarcococca is a very robust plant and has grown away well after planting. The Miscanthus are now growing strongly. The Calamagrostis were very poor plants some of which were so poor you replaced them but even the replacements are very weak. The main problem is undeveloped root systems and pots delivered with virtually no compost in them because of poor packaging; they were delivered unlabelled.”

“Am concerned as one of my potted grasses is showing no sign of life at all. Miscanthus sinensis zebrinus is apparently still dormant/dead? i ordered a large pot so that there was potential for dividing into small parts to plant on. I don't want to wait until midsummer and to find it was dead. Any advice or comment please Paramount Plants. Valerie Bowden”

“Excellent sales service and communication but delivery was poor. Expensive trees arrived chucked on the back of a van on their sides with branches broken. They were very heavy and the driver could not help me move them to the back garden”

Good morning, thank you for your valued feedback, we are sorry to hear of your displeasure upon delivery of your trees. The trees need to be laid down during transportation on the back of our trucks as this is best practice for safe delivery to our customers. Our drivers are on strict tight deadlines to meet for loading/unloading of deliveries and unfortunately, as per our terms and conditions, drivers are to leave deliveries at front of the property. This is also stated on your order confirmation upon order placed.
