“Received some very nice potted plants after quite a long 4 week wait. 90% of the plants were in tip top condition and one was passable. Overall one of the best online plant retailers I've used and would recommend to others.”

“Trees arrived as scheduled and described. Only four stars as currently only showing a tiny bit of green on each tree. However, the trees were planted and continue to be watered as per instructions, so hope to see further signs of growth soon.”

“Top Quality Plants I've used Paramount for most of my landscaping this past 2 years and all plants have been superb. I have struggled with online access following orders - e.g. I've requested top up of an order for which there was insufficient plants at the time of order - these simply vanish in the ether, so I suggest a telephone call rather than relying on their web site. To be clear, online orders are a snap - it's the follow up that's difficult.”

“I ordered a Dicksonia Antarctica - Tasmanian Tree Fern and Taxus baccata hedging plants, about 10 and 1 died within the first 6 months. All others are fine. Unsure of Paramount plants warranty on plants given some plant companies do provide a 12 month warranty so definitely good to check this prior to purchase.”

“I bought six mature standard trees plus compost, stakes and feeds this year from Paramount, total order value approximately £2,500. The trees are as described, in good condition and were carefully and competently delivered. Contacting Paramount is a weak point: the phone was never answered in about a dozen times of trying and return of left answerphone messages was slow. Email seems to be the best method of contact though this too doesn't always get the quick response one needs for advice. The advice is first-rate; I simply suggest you carry a phone around and take it in turns to answer it. Simple: I've done it for years. The supplied wooden stake posts are much too wide a diameter, 5-6cm, to get into the ground. I ordered twelve from Paramount, which I carefully pre-stained green, now redundant. I wish I had not bought these from you, a waste of money. Tom's video notion on your site of knocking them in with a mallet ("..a mallet will do..") is fanciful. Even pre-drilling as I did with a long 20mm masonry drill I could not get these in more than an inch or two below the dug out hole. My solution, which I recommend to customers, was to buy steel fencing posts from Wickes. They are a perfect size for the masonry drill (which takes care of obstructive small stones and roots in the ground), come in 2m and 1.5m lengths and are nicely painted black. They are straightforward to hammer in and provide discreet and firm support. Customers should note that the Ligustrum japonicum trees I bought had been potted with supportive wooden blocks which made removal of the pots prior to planting difficult. Don't waste time as I did trying to prise the pot off the rootball; the blocks will have swollen jamming them against the pot and they are stapled to the pot wall anyway. Just sacrifice the pot by cutting it off the rootball with heay duty secateurs. Overall, though there are some improvement points which I think Paramount could make, the trees now in a fortnight look excellent and I hope they will flourish with my planting and after-planting care.”

“I had 3 very large trees lost in the storm during February 2022. So it was suggested that I bought 2 trees to replace the ones lost. The person at the Crews Hill centre was very helpful & with his guidance I selected 2 trees. The only downside was on delivery the driver asking me to help him unload the heavy tree from his vehicle. No way I am 80. He managed to get the tree off the vehicle without damage.”

“Ordered laurel tree. Service and delivery were good and tree is doing well. However, reason for not five stars is that at the point of sale I was offered 'soil improver for trees' for £3.99, and I thought why not. But the sachet was tiny and specifically said on it 'Not for laurels' so I was a bit miffed, as £4 wasted. Paramount Plants Mycorrhizal Fungi Granules Pouch: 5 Gram Product Type: Soil Improver 5g Treats 1 Tree Plant ID: 10608 W 42 £3.99”

“We bought a late bare root Photinia at a reduced price so we're taking a risk. However it arrived on time and we planted it straight out to give it the best chance. Pruned it down as advised but still an impressively sized specimen for the money. It lost most of it's leaves in the first few day but buds are now showing and the signs are good. The only reason we've scored 4* is because we want to see how it turns out.”
