Terrible customer service. First up our item was very late in arriving even though the website talks about how quick items would be despatched. When we chased this up it was then despatched. Then our items arrived and were faulty and we emailed customer service to explain. They initially responded saying they would send replacement lights and we he haven’t heard a word since despite us emailing 4 or 5 times to follow up. Extremely dissappointed and very poor customer service.

I have not yet received the lamp because the carrier used by Online Lighting, Fedex, has twice (without prior warning as to the time) attempted delivery when I am not at home. The third attempt will be made today at some unknown time before 6pm, but again I am not at home. Other delivery companies offer alternative options (such as leaving in a safe place or with a neighbour) but not Fedex (or perhaps Online Lighting as precluded this in their instructions to Fedex). Either way ... so far, so unimpressed ....

Only giving 1 star as have to give something. Terrible company, firstly light fitting arrived with parts missing they were going to be sent out, ok fine. Electrician had removed our old bathroom light, fitted this new light and the light itself did not work so he had to remove the faulty fitting and replace it with our old light fitting. £40 it cost me for that little exercise! Online lighting company did refund the cost of the light fitting eventually, however Online lighting company will not cover electricians expenses even though it was their faulty fitting that caused the problem. I made the original complaint to them in April, twice I chased them and no response to my request to cover the electrician cost. I got an email from them last week (august) in which they referred to me as she! Who am I the cats mother!!! Very shoddy customer service would not recommend them at all

Orderd a light over a month ago and still not received. Had to chase up and am now waiting a refund. If you’re on a deadline for your product I would avoid!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SELLER!! I ordered 2 wall spotlights from them. At that time they had an option for the suggested bulbs, But the bulb suitable for the fixture which were necessary for my electrician to install them. A few days later I spoke with an agent who advise me that the bulbs were back in stock and I placed an order over the phone. Once `I received them the electrician did the install. But the bulbs they sent sits way-out above the edge of the spotlights. I contacted them about this and sent photos, but all they were willing to do was to replace the spotlights. This meant that I would have to call out the electrician to remove them and then come back again to install whatever replacement I deiced upon. This would be extremely costly to carry out. I rang again and apprised them of the situation and asked if they would be willing to meet some of the the re-install cost as it was their fault. They told me they would be unwilling to to do anything about it other than to send me 2 new spotlight units. This is the reason I'm giving them 1 star. If it were possible I would give them 0 stars. I recommend to go to another retailer as Online Lighting's customer service is really appalling.

I placed an online order on 31st December. After not receiving the goods, I contacted customer services by email to ask if the order had been dispatched. A reply asked for my full name and address and that they would look into it. It's now 11th January and no goods or any further info from customer services - come on, it can't be that hard to check an order.

Customer service totally unreasonable and refused request for an exchange for lights which are unopened / touched. I understand the 30 day refund limit had passed but we were only looking for an exchange for lights more suitable, even with this in mind they wouldn't budge their stance .Our electrician was ill which is why we didn't find out sooner they were incorrect. The company would not loose any money but we are now left with over £500 worth of lights we cannot use.

Thank you for getting in touch. Unfortunately the timeframe for returning these items has considerably expired. We believe 30 days is a generous amount of time for customers to decide on suitability. We cannot seem to locate any communication within the said period notifying us of the challenges now being advised. We also note from your initial email of 16th January there was no request to exchange the lights. To be fair to all our customers the terms and conditions of return are the same for all and these are set out on our website for customers to peruse prior to placing an order. The Customer Care Team

Took my money and no sign of delivery. They could not even be bothered to chase it up when I queried it. I Eventually requested a refund. Apparently, they will ask the courier to send it back to them and then raise a refund. So, the courier can send it back to them but can’t sent it to me? This is suspicious to say the least - or just unprofessional. Either way, don’t touch as cannot be trusted.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay. All carriers faced considerable challenges this past Christmas season due to many more businesses using carriers instead of Royal Mail due to their strikes. The delivery network became extremely congested. We accept that delays occurred that were frustratingly out of our control. Every order which left us was monitored by a dedicated team on a daily basis without fail until delivery took place or other resolution was reached with the intended recipient. While we did request your parcel be returned to us it still has not arrived but obviously we refunded you immediately as issues with carriers are our responsibility and not that of our customers. I purchased a couple of lights, didn't received them. No one contacts you to say they are not in stock. I emailed to say I need them ASAP or to give me a refund. I got an email to confirm paypal refund... no explanation, no apologies... at least I have the refund but will not recommend this page

Disappointing very difficult to fit with the hex bolts for the back plate provided too short, had to purchase extra long hex bolts from B & Q to fit hence extra cost. No instructions to fit glass panes, parts missing

Very POOR quality control, but received the order earlier than stated as it was out of stock but when arrived the brass light had 2 dark marks on the side of it. I have now returned the item will not comment again when I receive my refund, this has put me off reordering any items.

I placed an order on 22nd April which was due to arrive on 12th May, this did not arrive so I called but no one ever answers or returns my calls. So I emailed you on 17th May and you promised delivery on 25th May, again no delivery so I emailed again and you promised 7th June but still didn’t arrive. So I have since tried calling and emailing and no one has got back to me as I would like my money back!!! Absolute shambles!!!!

Made a purchase on May 7th and my order never arrived. Company did very little to get to the bottom of the issue. I had to chase up couriers who said they never received my parcel to deliver it. Very disappointed
