onegreenbottle began over 14 years ago to provide a sustainable alternative to single use plastic water bottles and to maintain operations with solid eco credentials. Original supplier of stainless steel eco friendly drinks bottles and lunchboxes. Classic wide mouth bottles for easy cleaning, easy filling and in a range of stunning colours and styles. “I do love the bottles, they are great. Have one for me and one for my daughter. It's also great to be able to buy extra lids BUT, I find they break very easily and often, a small drop and the lid cracks and then it leaks. I have bought numerous new tops for both mine and my daughters.”

Hi Rachel, Thanks for your review and glad to hear you love the bottles. Regarding the caps we use polypropylene which can be more brittle, and if frequently dropped can break as this material doesn't have the leachy toxins in like other plastics. It is also more readily recyclable which is more eco friendly. We do have metal caps and knob caps which are more hardy for knocks and falls. I hope this helps? Thanks

“The website is an absolute disaster. It’s impossible to work out which lids or straws go with which bottles, there’s no clarity in the UX and the copy is misleading.”

Hi there, so sorry to hear you are having difficulty with our website. We do specify in the text on the category, and in the description of the product which caps fit what bottles. We also have all the information on the infographics on the images of the products and the caps. Any spare caps purchased come with a spare straw. All our straws fit all the caps, the only exception is the quench which requires their own straws, as they are more narrow. We also have our chat facility to help with any issues you may have. “I love One Green Bottle, however, I am forever having to buy new bottle tops as they break easily. I currently have 5 bottles that my children use for school and I find them ideal, particularly in the summer as it keeps their drinks cold throughout the school day. However, I may have to look for an alternative moving forward because the added expense of repkacing the lid/caps means they are no longer cost-effective for me, which is a shame.”

If any have broken you feel are not down to accidental damage please get in touch so we can look at the case and see if we can help. In order to sell caps which do not leach micro plastics, the polypropylene is a more brittle material to to the nasty harder plastics. Thanks

“Had a problem with a previous bottle cap I had ordered and had to order a replacement it was a Christmas discount of 20% off but the promotion didn’t work, when I explained what had happened with the bottle cap and discount offer the staff where quick and efficient with sorting my problem out and returning the money. The bottles are great, Can’t do without mine.”

“I ordered a large stainless steel NOT thermos flask. I now filter my water and remineralize it due to my paranoia about pollutants. The flask is great, no plastic, and I went to non-thermos as I just drink water. Good company, overly packaged when it arrived”
