“We had a lovely 2 night stay in a very luxurious suite at Matfen Hall. Beautiful surrounding. Our room overlooked the golf course and was stunning.....helped by fantasic weather!”

“The Wood Norton, built at the end of the nineteenth century by the French Duc d’Aumale, retains much of its original aristocratic charm. The delightful lawns and flower beds make the garden a great place to relax. Inside, the building impresses with wood panelled walls and ceilings and carved wooden features such as the coat of arms on the restaurant doors and crowns topping the staircase banister posts. Our room was a generous size, tastefully furnished and with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food superb. Our only regret was only being able to stay for two nights.”

“I always look online for the offers &availability but ring the office to actually book it as I always find the girls so helpful, they give local tips & feedback from other guests also I have past booking history so they know the types of hotel we like.”

“The first couple of times I tried to make a booking (using a voucher) the web site did not seem to be working correctly and would not advance from page 1. Although my chosen dates were available according to the calendar popup another message appeared which stopped further input. When I clicked on "something not right click here" I was sent to main booking page which I could not use with voucher. However, despite the above I did eventually get to make booking, although my first choice dates were by then gone. So we are now booked for end July and look forward to our break. This is just my booking experience, have not yet had hotel stay!”

“Very difficult to determine when OFF PEAK booking available. Had OFF PEAK available - eventually - for one of our "3rd" preferred dates - only to find this had NOT BEEN ACCEPTED when I processed the details required. Became very frustrated and gave up. Booking done by telephone in no time at all, with our 1st preferred date available!!!! Will not use your on-line booking system again until it is radically improved.”

“We booked a stay at Swinton Park which included a 3 course dinner , breakfast, use of the spa, late checkout and room upgrade if available . Initially I thought this website seemed too good to be true but after some research which showed it to be genuine we booked. I’m glad we did as we couldn’t have been happier. Everything ran smoothly and the deal was better than we saw on the actual hotel website. Would definitely use again”
