Thank you for your feedback.  I am unsure if your comment refers to the room or hotel so I have addressed both points.  The two packages we have available at the hotel you have booked are based on the same room type which is slightly larger than their standard room and has a better aspect.  Our reservations team is always happy to call the hotel to check availability of another room type and then should there be a suitable alternative the package can be amended accordingly.  Regarding the hotel we offer luxury breaks at over 200 properties in the UK and we are available by phone and email till 10pm 7 days a week should you require assistance with your search.

Customer advisor was helpful although payment in full 11 months before our stay we found surprising and thought a deposit would be acceptable with payment in full nearer the date our stay.

Would have given a good/very good if it had made it VERY clear that a charge is applied for using credit card, if their was one,I must have missed the warning! I think a red warning should be very obvious.

Thank you for yourfeedback. We do make a small charge for credit card bookings, which reflects the charges we have to pay. We do not charge for debit cards. The charge is highlighted throughout the booking process, and we do feel it is made clear to customers when and why this charge is levied. We hope you enjoy your break.

I found great difficulty understanding the reponse when the telephone was answered. The speech was garbled (obviously the result of having answered the telephone with the same response many times) and I had to ask twice if I had the correct number. However once I established that I did indeed have the correct number my questions were dealt with quickly.The agents were helpful and polite.

On further investigation your description of the Balmer Lawn Hotel does not correspond with that on the hotels own website. The restaurant may have an AA rosette but it seems it no longer has two and the sample menus offered by Offpeakluxury and the hotel website are vastly different!

We make regular checks against the records held by the AA and can see that the restaurant at the Balmer Lawn Hotel has recently reduced from 2 AA rosettes to 1. We have now amended this on our website and have requested an up-to-date sample menu from the hotel. We would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention and do hope you still enjoyed your stay.

Finding a hotel and booking was easy. However the next day I was contacted by Offpeak to tell me there was. Mistake and the hotel was full. I was understandably put out. Victoria from Offpeak was helpful in finding an alternative but I had to go through the review procedure again to find a suitable hotel for the second time.

Overbooking mistakes are extremely rare. We understand that the hotel sold their last room shortly before your reservation was made on our system and therefore the room was not removed from our availability in time. We are very sorry about this, however, unfortunately it is something that is out of our control. We are pleased that we have been able to find a suitable alternative and that you felt Victoria was helpful in resolving the matter. We do hope you enjoy your stay and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

A couple of errors in the confirmation email. My title was not asked, and therefore I was note as Mrs and not Ms. My town was spelt incorrectly.

Hotels offered were good. However the dog friendly category is inaccurate including hotels I would not class as dog friendly and missing some that are. I also think it is wrong to add 2% to the gift voucher charge. If you must make the charge add it to the cost of the person who buys the voucher not the recipient.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will now be reviewing the Pooch Perfect collection on our website to ensure that the hotels listed offer something special to our much loved dogs. We have also taken on board your comments concerning the 2% card charge which is payable when the reservation is made and therefore when the voucher is redeemed. We do hope that you and your dog enjoy your break away.

Customer service clerk didn't really know enough to put my request through, so she had to phone me back and then called me someone else. She made a several mistakes so this didn't put me at ease for what I have booked, I just hope it has all gone through correctly.

The lady that dealt with your booking has only been with us for a short time so quite rightly wanted to ensure that your booking was processed correctly and therefore checked with a supervisor first. Rather than you holding on the phone she felt it would be best to call you back; apologies for using your incorrect name when doing so. We can assure you that your booking has been made correctly however please do let us know if you would like us to call you and confirm any details.

The package you chose is valid all days of the week and weekend, subject to the hotel's availability. We were not aware when we spoke that you had experienced a problem and the date you booked was instantly available so was confirmed to you immediately.
