Website showed incorrect prices, and when calling up the staff didn’t seem interested. I offered to send a screen shot but they didn’t want one.

Our team of reservation agents is available 7 days a week, until 10 pm, to handle your every need from beginning to end which may include reserving a table for dinner and any extra touches to make a stay perfect. Due to alterations in our package, after full payment was made months ago, and was given a twelve month period in which to make a booking. We only found out at time of booking dates, that the offer was no longer available. There was no mention at the time of booking, that there could be a change to our package. We feel disappointed that a change of accommodation has had to be made, and cost us more money, for a break that is not of the same standard.

Thank you for your review, although I am sorry that you feel disappointed. I must explain that you purchased a hotel break gift voucher, which is indeed valid for 12 months, however the negotiated offers which we have with the hotels in our portfolio are subject to availability, as is detailed on your voucher. Unfortunately, when you had chosen a date to book your hotel stay for, the offer detailed in the voucher had been changed. We asked the hotel if they were able to offer the original package, but unfortunately they could not. The full value of your voucher can be used towards a stay at any hotel and on any package on our website should the original offer no longer be available, as was the case with the voucher you purchased. In order to complete a purchase, a box must be checked to confirm that the Terms & Conditions of our website have been read and understood; these are reiterated on the voucher itself. We found the hotel through Off Peak Luxury and the booking was fairly straightforward. However, on hindsight, we would have paid much less if we'd booked directly with the hotel or another 3rd party website. We didn't receive our glass of Prosecco on arrival but didn't make a fuss as were told the dinner allowance at the hotel was £40pp so we thought there may have been a discrepancy with an out of date offer. 10% off spa facilities was not exclusive to Off Peak Luxury customers but available to anyone who books into the hotel as a guest. Once we received the bill at the end we did mention the prosecco and the hotel kindly took the cost of this off our bill. Apparently, they didn't know about it and we had to show our booking form from you to prove that we'd already paid the amount that we had. It might be that because we'd booked late, messages hadn't got through. The stay at the hotel was delightful but in future we'll do more homework before booking with a 3rd party company. Thank you for introducing us to the hotel and its chain.

Firstly we would like to thank you for your feedback. We have looked into the pricing on the hotel's website and can see they have a slightly lower rate available for the month of January based on dinner, bed and breakfast in an executive room however our package is available all year-round and includes a glass of Prosecco on arrival together with a 1 pm late check-out. It is disappointing to read that the Prosecco was not received which we will raise with the hotel. We are pleased to hear you found the booking process straightforward and do hope to welcome you back should you wish to stay at another of the hotels in our portfolio.

The process is not seamless. Off-peak luxury has to check with the hotel and then come back to me. Plus the discount is not that much. It's not real time.

As you had specific room requests and are travelling as a single occupant, we did need to contact the hotel on your behalf in order to ensure a room suitable to your requirements was available, as well as obtain a single occupancy discount for your stay which we were happy to be able to secure for you. Bought for my wife's birthday couple months in advance after she enquired and said it's what she wanted. For some unknown reason they emailed her to tell her that I had booked it. Surprise ruined. Totally fuming as it wasn't cheap

Firstly we would like to apologise for ruining your wife's birthday surprise, which was certainly not our intention. Your wife contacted us regarding the hotel break and following communication by email, from her email address, she requested that we call you to make the reservation which we did. After doing so we informed your wife that her request had been carried out. We were not aware that this was a surprise. We do hope you both thoroughly enjoy your stay and please do let us know if there is anything we can assist with prior to your arrival.

Bit disappointed at I cancelled 3 days after booking as it turned out I get a complementry room for out 1st anniversary and got charged £35 To cancel. It's likely that someone else will 're book this room due to time scale

This is difficult - even more because you are asking me to say how OPL "made me happy", as if you want a certain answer rather than the facts. First of all, Victoria has been very good. She's helpful, polite, persistent, and has a good grasp of the details; and if she gets impatient she doesn't show it. But my booking experience has involved not just OPL but also the hotel. The problems have been partly because I'm not dealing directly with the hotel but through a third party; and partly, I think, because the hotel appears to be rigid and inflexible. Maybe the experience of OPL and a different hotel would be better. So I hope the group for whom I've been organising a weekend break will enjoy it, and at the price it certainly should be enjoyable. But on another occasion I would want to deal directly with the hotel, and therefore would not use OPL.

Victoria has spent a considerable amount of time dealing with your rather complicated group reservation to ensure this is arranged to your satisfaction. This is something we at OPL pride ourselves on. Initially you were unsure as to where to stay, so Victoria searched our portfolio of hotels and forwarded various options to you to consider. Once a decision had been made a suitable package was negotiated with the hotel. I would like to point out that the package booked is not one that could have been obtained direct and therefore offers better value for money. Due to the strong relationship we have with our hotels we were also able to offer some flexibility to suit your requirements. The staff where awesome trying hard to find me somewhere last min ... but I was Wanting to take my girlfriend away to a Spa ... there was only massage here as spa not ready till July . Which left us nothing to do expect dinner .. as massage couldn't be done till next day . Maybe bit more time to prepare and study where to go next time .

Thank you for your feedback and I am pleased to hear you were impressed by the service provided by our reservations team.  Having viewed your booking I can see it was made the day prior to arrival and it was for a Saturday night.  Hotel availability is limited at such short notice, particularly at spa hotels and it is usually necessary to book treatments well in advance.  We did however manage to find you one with a sauna, hot tub and relaxation area which we hope you were able to make use of.  Please do get in touch should you require our assistance in the future.
