Booked break for 3 nights through OPL only to find hotel couldn't accomodate our stay in same room for all nights so now faced with having to change rooms on last day!

The deal I purchased was good. However I needed to speak to someone regarding my booking but found the telephone number supplied unobtainable.

Whilst an excellent deal was prepared in the end the whole process took more than 2 weeks with several chaser calls and emails. Then there was a booking fee applied per room which was never made clear in all my calls but is in the small print.

Dear Adrian, We're sorry that you found booking your stay took longer than anticipated - as our team advised, with hotels being closed and operating with very few staff, it is taking a lot longer to receive replies to enquiries with specific requirements. Our team spent a considerable amount of time finding suitable hotels and contacting them on your behalf. As your dates were also flexible we had to contact hotels with availability for the dates which were suitable for you, which often meant longer waits while the hotels checked that they could meet your requirements for the new dates you requested. With regards the booking service fee, we include the fees within our prices as we prefer not to mislead with headline rates that can't be booked. Remember, whatever the service fee that you are charged we offer a price match plus guarantee which means that even including the charge, we guarantee best value and best service. Easy to book. But the charges for the service should be more up front as I only discovered the £15 charges in the confirmation email.

We do show the Hotel Charges and the Booking Service Fee (if applicable) on the first page of the booking process under the "Total booking price" information. We have booked with Offpeakluxury a couple of times. Booking is easy & staff very helpful. However the actual hotel for our last stay was not 'luxury'.... 3 star only.

Was a bit disappointed that the dates that were available online when I requested to book were no longer free only at an extra cost of £40 a night,but luckily I was able to change the days,but it should not have been shown as available online,but Victoria was very helpful responding with other dates and sone other suggestions.

Had major problems with my booking. 2 nights for two people needing two rooms. By sheer chance, when making dinner reservations, we found that only one room had been booked. I had paid, in full, for two rooms and would have been very upset upon arrival to learn that only one had been reserved. Both OPL and the hotel (Brudenell, Suffolk) referred to a ‘glitch in the system‘ and neither apologised, which would have been nice. Both seemed to think that all was fine as the booking has now been sorted out, with no awareness of the calls I have made trying to sort it out - hanging on for at least ten minutes with the hotel etc. I have had to phone the Brudenell again just now to double check that the booking is correct. I also had to ask OPL to confirm the corrected booking by email. Surely this should be standard practice? Not very impressed, although the staff were friendly.

It is difficult to rate Offpeakluxury as the service we received from you appeared good however when we arrived at the hotel they had no record of our booking. They said that it was your fault. We had to show our booking confirmation which we fortunately had with us. Plus the hotel was advertised as having spa facilities - whilst we expected these to be limited we did expect them to be open as there was no indication to contrary. It was only when we got into the room that we discovered the spa was completely closed. Very disappointing given the price we had paid.

Your reservation was acknowledged and confirmed by the hotel shortly after it was made and subsequently your hotel confirmation was emailed to you. It is not possible for you to be in receipt of your confirmation without the hotel confirming your booking. We must apologise on their behalf and will contact them to make sure the same mistake does not happen again. There is a Coronavirus information pack available on our website for each hotel. The information is either provided by the hotel or if we are not in receipt of their pack there is some general information which we hope will assist our guests. This also includes the closure of any facilities if we have been made aware. For Kenwood Hall it states that the opening date of the pool and spa is to be confirmed. I'm sorry the spa was not available however I hope you still had an enjoyable stay. Kind regards Offpeakluxury

The hotel was expecting us and we were made to feel welcome however when my husband tried to check out they were insistent that we hadn't paid anything despite me paying you in full. My husband had to fetch me from the car to show them the email stating that we had paid. I sent it to them before they were happy. It was a very embarrassing experience especially as the reception was beginning to get busy.

At this hotel, the Roseate Villa Hotel, it was not at all clear what the added value is of the more expensive rooms apart from the view from the window.

I was a bit disappointed to see the hotels website had a room plus breakfast at a better rate . Even taking off the £60 meal credit and cost of two drinks it was still slightly cheaper. So not such a special deal after all.
