“Missed a holiday thru COVID in 2020 and received a voucher but didn’t realise that it had an expiry date so despite 2 emails I lost over 800 pounds. Don’t do business with this group they will rip you of !!”

Dear Customer It is very disappointing to receive your review. You emailed us in September, this year, 2022 off the back of our email we sent to you in June 2020, which had the voucher attached. You have mentioned in your review that you didn’t realise that it had an expiry date, the email we sent you in June 2020 and the one you emailed us on in September this year 2022 stated that it expires on 31/12/2021. It is the responsibility of the customer to note the date of expiry. Therefore, we have honoured our obligations and also gone over above what was required due to the pandemic by extending vouchers for the length of time we did. Kind regards Country Hotel Breaks

“Murrayshall Country House Hotel This is a very good venue for an overnight stay, break or golf outing. The buildings and the grounds are excellent, there is disabled access [a key or member of staff is required to open the door] at the south of the main building. The rooms are spacious, well fitted out, clean, warm and have excellent ensuites. There are tea/coffee making facilities and free bottled water. The domestic staff are excellent, nothing is any trouble for them. We were there for a Luxury Sparkling Break - Superior Room, 2 night stay in a Superior room on a special deal. This was a reasonable deal at this time of year, but not cheap. A complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival was a bonus. There are two menus to chose from, a bar type “Cairns” menu and the a la carte in the Eolas restaurant. The Cairns menu is more traditional bar style food, but very good, reasonably priced and a decent wine selection. This menu is vat inclusive. The Eolas restaurant has more refined food which was very well cooked and presented, not a cheap option. However, most of the choices have a “supplement” to add lamb for example is £8:00 per portion and sides are all extra which can add a good bit to the bill for a family. The wine list in my opinion is for the more affluent society, definitely not cheap. This menu is NOT vat free which adds another amount to your final bill, this was not stated on the menu or advised by the staff. The waiting staff tried their very best, but a severe lack of training was evident. Many catering etiquettes were not carried out. A 4-star rating is about right in my opinion, the rooms, ground and building certainly help.”

“Had a problem with the hotel fulfilling what was on our voucher , however offpeak sorted us with an alternative and we re booked with them an acceptable alternative , first time using them but will certainly use them in the future .first class seevice”
