“Inaccurate for pick up trucks. When you click through none of the providers actually cover pick ups despite the comparison saying they do.”

Hi, Thank you for exchanging emails and enabling us to look into this. The information we display is correct - the issue was a misinformed advisor at the insurer - who are now going to ensure their advisors are all up to date. All the insurers we say cover pickups cover them. Many thanks again for raising your concern though as its helped us ensure other users are less likely to be affected by such a mistake in the future.

“Unfortunately, the quote i received for excess insurance for Iceland showed ash, sand, and grit cover, but when I contacted the insurance company they confirmed these extras were not covered. This resulted in me buying excess insurance via a Google research. Update, due to being harassed by MoneyMaxim (2 phone calls, an email, and this review site), I'm unwilling to amend my score. Further harassment will see me escalating this.”

That is clearly important to both our users who rely on us providing accurate information and to our reputation. As company regulated by the FCA where we are obliged to ensure what we say is entirely accurate. Thanks for confirming the partner to whom you visited - and as a result of your feedback they are now looking to retrain one of their team. We were able to show you the details of their policy which clearly stated in that Volcanic Ash cover was included, as we said. The good news is that other users are less likely to be misinformed as a result of your review and we are very grateful to you for letting us know.

“Excellent site for finding cheap excess insurance for car hire. Actually, good site for insurance quotes generally. Used it for years and has saved me a lot of money. Got insurance for £12 when the car hire firm wanted £100 and the booking site wanted £45”

“On this occasion I was renewing my hire car excess policy through MoneyMaxim as I will be away at the time when my current annual policy runs out. Easy to use website, no problems in arranging next year's policy in advance.”
