“I initially wrote a review of the insurance product based around the fact that I was a bit frustrated that I was being asked to rate the insurance product based on how easy it was to buy. I felt the only real review worth sharing with people was how well did the product perform when needed (ie did the insurer give you a good and fair service). Mark (the MD) got in touch to say he was interested in my comments and went away to do some correlation between: Overall ratings (which are dominated by ease of buying (including making changes if they discovered errors), consumer's perception of the quality of product and it's vfm VERSUS Consumer's comments if they did need to actually use the product Mark found that there was really good correlation (and sent me the results of his research He's considering whether to push the claims score a bit further into the foreground on the ratings (where I believe it should be, but we all have to remember we'd generally be a bit frustrated if we had to make a claim, we would probably have had to pay out some excess, and may not have made the right choices in the heat of the moment of, say an accident etc., so those scores are always going to be lower. But what a company, for the MD to be taking a genuine intrested in these ratings and genuinely doing some thing about it, doing some research and coming back to you! “I was not sure what I required for car hire insurance in Australia and whether I could take it out while I was already on holiday. The people that I spoke to on 3 separate occasions were very helpful and knowledgeable and directed and advised me to what i should be doing.”
